00:00They say that blood is thicker than water, but is it thicker than plastic?
00:04Here's your spooky spot on the Neca Toys Halloween H20 Ultimate Michael Myers.
00:30Celebrate the return of a horror icon with Neca's ultimate Michael Myers action figure.
00:48Based on his appearance in the chilling 1998 film Halloween H20 20 Years Later,
00:53two decades after the fateful Halloween night in Haddonfield,
00:56Michael Myers resurfaces the track down his sister Laurie Strode.
00:59As the shadows grow long on another Halloween night, evil returns with a vengeance.
01:03This fully articulated 7-inch scale figure captures Michael's menacing presence with screen-accurate detail.
01:09Accessories include interchangeable masks, heads and hands, fire axe, kitchen knives, ice skate and pumpkin.
01:15Comes with a collector-friendly window box packaging with opening front flap, perfect for display.
01:20Luckily for me, Ronnie wasn't paying attention to the gates again. I was able to slip my shipment through.
01:24Before, though, we get a closer look at the new Neca Toys Halloween H20 Michael Myers.
01:30As we always do here, before, of course, we get things underway, we're going to grab the tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
01:34Really looking forward to this one. Not only do I think the Michael Myers look from Halloween H20 is one of my personal favorites,
01:39but Halloween H20 sits pretty high on my list right after Halloween 4.
01:43As for how tall the figure is going to stand, Michael Myers seems to be clocking in at about 7 3⁄4 of an inch in height,
01:50working out to be a figure that's 19 centimeters tall.
01:53I don't know the timelines are so hard to keep in check with the movements of Myers,
01:56considering those timelines veer so far away from one another.
01:59If we keep to the canon and the idea that Laurie Strode does survive the events of not only Halloween 1,
02:04but we keep in canon the idea that they're siblings,
02:06then really the only figure that's got released by Neca that would make then sense to be displayed along with Halloween H20's Michael Myers
02:12would be the one from Halloween 2.
02:14Now, I'm picking my Poison and choosing the one here that got paired along with Dr. Sam Loomis.
02:18If you prefer instead, you could obviously just display this as well with the ultimate Michael Myers,
02:21the standalone from also Halloween 2.
02:24If we change the direction and the course altogether of the timeline,
02:27let's just say Laurie Strode never survives.
02:29Well, then instead, we would introduce Jamie Lloyd.
02:32And while though these two figures would make no sense next to one another,
02:34the ones on either side, at least, would still be part of the same timeline.
02:39Now, instead, though, if Blumhouse decides, hey, why not?
02:42We don't need to have them necessarily related to one another.
02:44What if Laurie Strode not only doesn't leave Haddonfield in the first place,
02:48doesn't change her name to Carrie Tate, that made more sense.
02:50You know, whatever you could say about Halloween H20,
02:52the fact that, again, she had her personal demons,
02:54Laurie Strode seemed to drink a lot when she was Carrie Tate,
02:57but at least, though, she was smart, she knew to move away from the town.
02:59Now, with Blumhouse, let's decide instead to have Laurie Strode stay in the town
03:03where all the events first took place.
03:05We'll keep her name.
03:06We'll keep probably around the same area of where she was still living.
03:09Fortifies her house.
03:10Of course, she teaches her daughter to grow up with the idea
03:13that one day the boogeyman would escape.
03:15That makes so much more sense.
03:16And again, while it doesn't make any sense, again,
03:18to be displaying this figure with this figure behind,
03:20here's what the figure looks like, though,
03:21with the Blumhouse trilogy Halloween Kills, Michael Myers.
03:24As for the accessories that come in clue with Myers,
03:27first, you get yourself not a jack-o'-lantern,
03:29because it hasn't been carved yet,
03:30but you get yourself a full pumpkin.
03:33It's strange, though, to get yourself a pumpkin with Michael Myers
03:35and not have a face already carved into it.
03:37Though something, to be fair, was carved into it,
03:39as you can see embedded into the flesh, there is a slit.
03:41Take any one of the two knives that come in clue with the figure,
03:43there's the bloody or there's the clean,
03:45and you can lodge the knife into that.
03:47Hey, why not, too?
03:48He also comes in clue with the axe,
03:49and the axe can also do the same.
03:51Choose, though, again, when you have the direction of it,
03:53you can also just lodge it in the top like that.
03:55I don't know if people would really be necessarily
03:56cutting their jack-o'-lantern using a big giant axe.
03:59That seems sloppy and unnecessary.
04:01You'd never go for the intricate cuts
04:03if you're going to be using a big giant wielded axe like this,
04:05but you can, though, lodge it into the jack-o'-lantern
04:08or to the pumpkin the exact same way.
04:11The pumpkin, I suppose, looks okay.
04:12I mean, right away, I could tell you
04:13this would not be a pumpkin I'd pick out from the patch
04:15because it's missing the stem.
04:17The stem is what adds the character of the pumpkin.
04:19I generally like the ones that have little curlicues.
04:21This one has absolutely nothing.
04:23It's got detail, though.
04:24It does have still something for that,
04:26but it's such a very bland-looking pumpkin.
04:28Again, move that off to the side.
04:30As mentioned, though, already,
04:31the figure does come in clue with knives.
04:33The knives are very similar to one another.
04:35I couldn't, though, help but notice
04:36the one that's got the blood on the end of it
04:38seems to have a slightly lighter brown handle.
04:41The blades, though, are very similar to one another.
04:43Maybe they were thrown at him by,
04:44I was going to say Laurie Strode, by Carrie Tate,
04:47pulling them from the drawer
04:47and just chucking them at Michael Myers.
04:49Myers seems to dodge them pretty well,
04:52but again, you get one that's bloody
04:53and you get one that isn't.
04:55The one that's interesting, though,
04:56the one that's got the blood on it
04:58doesn't actually have blood on the edge of the blade.
05:00So, I don't know if he maybe has just wiped
05:02just the very edge of it on the edge of his boiler.
05:04I don't know.
05:05Anyway, so he gets two of those.
05:07He gets a bunch of hands as well,
05:08which we'll have a look at as well.
05:10And as seen as we already looked at this, too,
05:11the figure does also come in clue with the axe.
05:13There isn't at all a bit of blood on the axe.
05:15Laurie Strode, of course,
05:16has that at the very end of the movie
05:18when she's screaming at Michael.
05:19Michael, come out!
05:20Michael!
05:22And then, of course,
05:22finally has the confrontation of him,
05:24takes away, though.
05:25It isn't so much so an ambulance or a hearse.
05:28She kind of just wheels away in the van
05:30and then she ends up...
05:31Well, I don't want to give it away
05:32for anybody that hasn't seen the movie.
05:34One thing that's kind of interesting, too,
05:35is that the figure does also come in clue with the skates.
05:37Now, the skate, though,
05:38we see embedded into the head of Jimmy Howell.
05:41Jimmy Howell was played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
05:44So, again, that was kind of cool to see,
05:46like, I guess a rising star
05:47kind of in these early days
05:49of one of the earlier film movies that he was in.
05:51The skate itself, as you can see,
05:52does have blood on the end of it.
05:54What's rather, though,
05:55interesting about the fact
05:56that they include the skate
05:57is that this really isn't the head
05:59that he has at the very beginning of the movie.
06:01When he goes through
06:02and eventually kills Marion Chambers,
06:04he's actually wearing more closer
06:05to a head sculpt
06:06from the one from Halloween Curse.
06:08Now, there's actually four masks
06:10that they used for Halloween H20,
06:11which is kind of one of the more puzzling things
06:13about the film
06:14is that the masks do change a lot.
06:16There's the Stan Winston mask,
06:17which is the majority of the masks
06:18that we see throughout the film.
06:19There is also the K&B mask,
06:21which I think is one of the worst,
06:22worst masks ever, ever in the movies.
06:24And then there's also the buckler mask.
06:26Now, the mask that we see
06:27at the very beginning of Halloween H20,
06:30it's kind of really hard to see
06:31because it's so low lit,
06:32but he's actually wearing a mask
06:34that's closer to resembling
06:35the Halloween 6 Curse of Michael Myers mask.
06:37So really, though,
06:38if you wanted to have the figure displayed
06:39where, like, for example,
06:41he's carrying around the figure skates,
06:42the hockey skate,
06:43then really, though,
06:44you'd want to maybe swap the head out.
06:46The thing that's kind of interesting
06:47about this, though,
06:47is that you can use this head
06:49with that body
06:50because they're using
06:51the exact same ball joint.
06:52Well, maybe come back to that idea.
06:54Just leave it with me.
06:54Come back to the idea of that,
06:55of swapping out the heads in a second.
06:57First things first, though, again,
06:58we're going to want to look
06:59through all the remaining hands.
07:01It's kind of puzzling, though,
07:02the fact that they include
07:03so many hands are similar to one another.
07:04So if we grab a hand
07:05that's like for like,
07:06what's a good like for like hand?
07:08No, that's the opposite way.
07:10There we go.
07:11If you look at this hand
07:11and you look at this hand,
07:14did they not look somewhat
07:15almost identical to one another?
07:17I just feel like it's
07:18it's puzzling really
07:19when a figure company
07:20decides to release an accessory
07:21that are so close to one another.
07:23You sort of start to look at that
07:24and ask the questions.
07:25Could the plastic
07:26not have been used for something else?
07:28I know what you're thinking.
07:29What would you have used?
07:30Humble to review
07:31instead of just giving
07:31some extra hands.
07:33Well, let's just say,
07:34I mean, if we're looking at the hands,
07:35that's not a good hand
07:36because that's actually
07:36a wider grip hands.
07:37So you have ones that are
07:38so close to resembling one another.
07:41I would have used the plastic.
07:43So let's just gather up
07:43the plastic right now.
07:44Let's pretend we're
07:45we're making it away in the factory.
07:47What else would you have included
07:48instead of extra hands
07:49that look so close to one another?
07:50I would have included
07:51the drawer,
07:53the kitchen drawer
07:54in which Michael Myers
07:55actually gets his knife
07:56lodged in it.
07:57And he's trying to fish
07:57the knife out from the drawer.
07:59Just a little tiny
08:00rectangular plastic drawer
08:01with a slot
08:02somewhat similar
08:03to the pumpkin
08:04where you can have
08:05yourself the knife
08:06embedded into that.
08:07Michael is, of course,
08:08trying to wave this out,
08:09get his knife
08:10freed from the drawer.
08:11But I probably
08:12would have included that.
08:13I know I'm flailing
08:13with my hands a lot.
08:14I would have used that
08:15as the plastic
08:16dedicated away
08:17from using, again,
08:18multiple hands
08:18that are somewhat similar.
08:20So again, like,
08:20you get a bunch
08:21of very similar hands.
08:22I know, again,
08:22like, if you look at them,
08:24you could really honestly say
08:25that this has a little bit
08:26more of a wider grip.
08:27This one has more
08:28of a slotted grip.
08:29One would then be better
08:30holding like the axe.
08:31So like this one here
08:32is better for really
08:33holding the axe
08:33because it does have
08:34a wider grip.
08:35You just take yourself
08:35the axe,
08:36wedge it into his hand
08:37like that,
08:38and Michael Myers
08:39has himself an axe.
08:40Not necessarily
08:41for chopping wood.
08:42The smaller hands
08:43obviously are then
08:44more accommodating
08:44for things like the knives.
08:46So like with a smaller slot,
08:48you just take yourself
08:49the knife
08:49and plug that in place.
08:51Now, this may be
08:52a little harder to do,
08:53but there you go.
08:54You just plug in the knife
08:55and whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.
08:57He's got himself
08:58then the knife
08:58to start slashing people with.
09:01Anyways, though, again,
09:02like he does come include
09:03with a whole bunch
09:03of swappable hands.
09:05The hands themselves
09:06can be swapped out
09:07with Michael Myers
09:07by just holding onto the forearm.
09:09Not that we're going to spend
09:10a whole lot of time doing this,
09:11but we're just going to
09:12pop the hand off,
09:13find a thumb that goes in
09:14and plug into the socket
09:15just like that.
09:17Twisted, twisty, twisty.
09:19Make sure it's all the way in there.
09:20There we go.
09:21So again, you can't
09:22swap out the hands.
09:22I mean, everybody knows
09:23I'm sure by now
09:24how to swap out hands.
09:25I'm not going to try
09:25to dumb this down
09:26to anybody that is familiar
09:27with NECA figures,
09:28but let's move
09:29all those accessories
09:30to the side.
09:32The figure then does
09:33come included
09:34with three swappable heads.
09:36Now, again,
09:36while we don't necessarily
09:37get ourselves
09:38the buckler mask,
09:40which again is the
09:40Halloween curse
09:41of Michael Myers,
09:42as a stand-in,
09:43certainly though,
09:43again, you could always
09:44really then use the,
09:45oh, sorry,
09:45didn't mean to startle you.
09:46You could really use
09:48the Halloween curse
09:48Michael Myers head
09:49and swap it out
09:50for the one
09:50that he has now.
09:51So if you had
09:52multiple of these
09:53Michael Myers,
09:53I mean, twist my rubber arm.
09:55If you got two or three
09:56of these,
09:57you would then have,
09:57I guess you'd necessarily
09:58need four,
09:59but then you'd need
10:00yourself another curse
10:00Michael Myers.
10:01But again,
10:02like if you did want to,
10:03you could pop the head
10:04off from the curse.
10:05And if you look
10:06at the two bodies,
10:07if you look at
10:08the two ball joints,
10:08they seem identical.
10:11Maybe this one
10:11looks a little bit bigger.
10:13So seem,
10:13I guess that would be
10:14a perfect ending
10:15for the end of Michael Myers,
10:16just again,
10:16because he has his head
10:17rolling away from him.
10:18But if you did want to,
10:19you could use the
10:20buckler mask
10:21and just pop that
10:22onto the ball joint.
10:23And then that would
10:24make then the most sense.
10:25You just get yourself
10:26the hockey,
10:26the hockey skates.
10:27You can have that
10:28display in the head.
10:28But I mean,
10:29I know the head
10:30does look a little bit
10:31too big on the figure's body,
10:32but it does work
10:34if you wanted to use
10:34the opener Michael Myers mask.
10:37We're not going to use
10:38that though right now.
10:39The pop on the original
10:40mask that we get here.
10:41We're going to swap it
10:42out in a second.
10:43The other one's available
10:44though.
10:44We get ourselves.
10:46We'll look at that one now.
10:47We'll look at that one last.
10:48We get first of all,
10:49the K&B mask.
10:50Now I still think
10:51the K&B mask
10:52is the worst
10:53Michael Myers mask
10:54ever in the film.
10:55Now I know you could
10:55make the argument
10:56that the CG mask
10:57is by far the worst.
10:59I don't really want to say
11:00that that's a true mask
11:01because essentially
11:01it is just really
11:02taking the K&B mask
11:04and what they tried to do
11:05was they tried to match it
11:06to the Stan Winston mask.
11:07So they CG'd over top
11:09of the K&B mask
11:11to try to give us something
11:12that resembled more to this.
11:13Well, no, not that one.
11:15Try to resemble something
11:15that looked more like
11:16the Stan Winston mask.
11:19Now you may be asking yourself,
11:20well, I'm sure they already
11:21had the masks available,
11:22didn't they?
11:22Why wouldn't they just
11:23gone back and re-shot it
11:24with the Stan Winston mask?
11:26It wasn't so much though
11:27that they didn't have
11:27the mask anymore.
11:28They actually didn't have
11:29that set anymore.
11:31So instead of actually
11:32trying to reconstruct,
11:33now I could have maybe
11:34made the argument,
11:35would they have not
11:36just been able to green screen
11:37the whole back scene
11:38and just use then
11:39the Stan Winston mask
11:40and then just CG that scene,
11:42that scene instead.
11:44But no, they didn't do that instead.
11:46So what they ended up
11:46trying to do
11:47was they took the K&B mask,
11:48which is this one again
11:49right here,
11:50and they CG'd something
11:52over top of it
11:52to make it look as close
11:53as to the Stan Winston mask
11:55as they could,
11:56and that's clearly
11:57where they made the fault.
11:59Now, the K&B mask
12:00is still seen
12:01through some of the movie.
12:03It's basically more
12:03the far shots
12:04as you see kind of
12:05Michael Myers,
12:06and it's always ones
12:06that you can spot right away.
12:07It's just an ugly-looking mask.
12:10But all the far shots
12:11where you see Michael
12:11is walking
12:12or you see him
12:13walking towards something,
12:14it's generally this mask
12:15because they didn't feel
12:17the need to go back
12:17and reshoot that scene again.
12:19Also, the big one too
12:20is when he's waving his knife
12:22when he's also trying
12:23to kill John.
12:24When he's waving the knife,
12:25a lot of times, though,
12:26it is also the K&B mask.
12:27My fault, really,
12:28with the K&B mask
12:29lies with the fact
12:30that it's so smooth.
12:31It looks like it has
12:32absolutely no features
12:33to it whatsoever.
12:35I mean, I think,
12:35if anything,
12:36NECA's done more
12:36of a service to this mask
12:37that it looks better in hand
12:39than it does actually
12:40in the movie.
12:41It just looks like
12:42it's just a blob of shape.
12:44His ears have, like,
12:45no characteristics to them
12:46whatsoever,
12:47no defining features,
12:48and the mask
12:48just looks so too super smooth.
12:50Now, to swap out the mask,
12:52it's just, again,
12:52you pop it off
12:53from the ball joint,
12:54pop on the K&B mask.
12:56This never will be
12:57on my display
12:57unless I pick up
12:58a second Michael Myers.
12:59Then maybe I'll have
13:00the figure displayed
13:00with a K&B mask,
13:01and I'll leave,
13:02I'll just leave
13:03the decapitated head
13:04of the Stan Winston mask
13:05just rolling alongside
13:06like that.
13:08So, again,
13:08like, we've already
13:09established the fact
13:10that there is
13:10the Stan Winston mask.
13:11That is the hero mask
13:13that we see through
13:13the majority of the movie.
13:14And then there's
13:15the CG mask.
13:17Now, if you're looking
13:17really at the two,
13:18I don't know if really
13:19I would say that one
13:20looks a lot more CG
13:21than the other,
13:22other than really
13:23just the fact that
13:23there's a little bit
13:24of gray on the side
13:25of his cheek.
13:26Other than that,
13:26I don't think it's
13:27that much different,
13:27really, than the regular
13:28Stan Winston mask.
13:29The eyes are a little bit
13:30more finer featured there,
13:32but I think, like,
13:33the faces don't look
13:34all that much different
13:34from one another.
13:35The hair are a little
13:36bit different.
13:37You can see, though,
13:38that maybe this one
13:38looks a little bit
13:39more of a darker brown.
13:40Other than that, though,
13:41I don't think there's
13:41really much that's been changed.
13:43You know, though,
13:43I feel like a lot of people
13:45are probably going to dismiss
13:45this CG mask
13:47and think, man,
13:47that just looks like
13:48a pile of crap.
13:49I'm going to put that
13:49back in the tray.
13:50I'm never going to be
13:50talking about it again.
13:52For a lot of people
13:53that did pick up
13:53the Halloween 2
13:54Ultimate Michael Myers
13:55will probably be familiar
13:56with the Ben Tramer head,
13:58and a lot of people
13:59ended up trying
14:00to customize this.
14:01First of all,
14:02I don't think it's
14:02an easy mask to work with
14:04because the mask has
14:05a lot of kind of
14:06non-refined features.
14:08I mean, it looks very...
14:09It doesn't have
14:10the nicest looking head
14:11in the first place,
14:12but a lot of times
14:13people usually have gone in there
14:14and tried to paint
14:15the blonde hair
14:15more of a black color instead,
14:18and had that
14:19be their 1978 Michael Myers.
14:21Could I perhaps
14:22entertain the idea
14:23not doing that,
14:24but instead
14:25trying to tool something
14:26with using the CG mask?
14:28Because if you look
14:29at it from the sides,
14:30that's not a bad 78 Myers.
14:33Now, I know,
14:33truth be told,
14:34you may want to be
14:35darkening the eyes
14:36just a little bit.
14:37It has, first of all,
14:38the ripped-away sideburns,
14:39which, if you look
14:39at the Ben Tramer head,
14:41it never had
14:41the ripped-away sideburns,
14:42so it's already
14:43ahead of the game for that.
14:44I think, if anything,
14:45you probably could go in there
14:46and just fix the hair up,
14:48maybe have more of the hair
14:49further forward,
14:50and, of course,
14:51add the little devil horns
14:52on the sides of the hair,
14:53and I think you could get yourself
14:54a pretty good likeness.
14:56I know, again,
14:56it's not the perfect,
14:57but it's certainly better
14:58than the Ben Tramer mask,
14:59and use this instead
15:01as a stand-in 78.
15:03So, I wouldn't dismiss this.
15:04I wouldn't say,
15:04oh, throw this away somewhere.
15:06Don't put this back in the tray.
15:07Maybe consider the idea
15:08of tooling this,
15:09maybe taking away
15:10the eyebrows, right?
15:11Yeah, I think that could be
15:12a pretty good 78 Myers.
15:14And, of course,
15:15the main one, then,
15:16being is that
15:16we've got ourselves the...
15:17Oh, I keep going back
15:18to the curse.
15:19We go back to
15:20the Stan Winston mask.
15:22So, again,
15:22this is the Stan Winston,
15:23this is the, I guess,
15:24somewhat of the CG mask.
15:26Again, very similar
15:27to one another.
15:29I actually really like
15:30the Halloween H2O Myers mask.
15:32I know there are
15:33some scenes
15:34where his eyes
15:35are a little too visible,
15:36especially when he's pinned
15:37against with the van,
15:39and then Laura Strode
15:40is coming down
15:40with the axe.
15:41But I feel like, though,
15:42that's a really good-looking mask.
15:44The only thing
15:44I would have probably
15:45done differently
15:45from a figure standpoint
15:47is I would have made
15:48the hair a little spikier.
15:49I mean, Michael has
15:50quite spiky hair
15:50and it continues also
15:51with Halloween Resurrection.
15:54Yeah, this is definitely
15:54the best head sculpt
15:56of the ones it leaves
15:56to get provided
15:57with this figure.
15:58Now, again,
15:58to swap the heads out,
15:59the difference between
16:00the K&B
16:00and the Stan Winston.
16:02Let me know down below
16:03in the comments,
16:04which do you think
16:04is the better-looking
16:05Michael Myers mask?
16:07I'm going to stick
16:07with this one
16:08just because, again,
16:08that's the one we see
16:09the majority of in the film.
16:10Again, just to swap that out,
16:12you just pop that off
16:12and replace it
16:14with this one here.
16:15Now, we'll put a little bit
16:16of pressure on that, too,
16:17just to make sure
16:18it's securely attached on there.
16:19I think also, too,
16:20you could probably
16:20even use these coveralls
16:22if you did want to use
16:22the CG mask
16:23and, again, customize this
16:25because this would probably
16:25be the closest I would feel
16:26to a 1978 pair of coveralls.
16:29Speaking of the coveralls, though,
16:31I think there's one thing
16:32that I would have also changed
16:33is the color of the coveralls.
16:35Depending, again,
16:36when you see the movie,
16:36sometimes it does look like
16:38it's a little bit more
16:38of a bluish,
16:39but I think the majority
16:40of it looks more like
16:40he's got an ash-brown-gray costume
16:43with a little bit of blue.
16:44It's certainly not the blue
16:45that we get here.
16:47And, again,
16:47the colors of Michael's coveralls
16:49do, again,
16:50change throughout the courses
16:51of these films.
16:52But I think the coveralls,
16:53though,
16:53for the H2O release
16:54probably could have used
16:56a little bit more gray
16:57and a little less blue.
16:58The coveralls do look good.
17:00And, again,
17:00if I was to compare it
17:01with the ones
17:01that we get here from,
17:03like this was the curse,
17:04the decapitated curse,
17:06Michael Myers' body,
17:07it doesn't look like
17:07they're using a lot
17:08of the same body elements.
17:10Maybe like the back
17:10of the pockets,
17:11for example.
17:12It does look like maybe,
17:13it doesn't really look like
17:14they're using the same legs.
17:16Oh, maybe they are.
17:17It looks like they've got
17:18the same seam line there.
17:20There are definitely
17:21some elements,
17:22maybe the lower legs
17:23also as well.
17:24The torso is,
17:25though,
17:25different between the two.
17:26I mean,
17:26the curse Michael Myers,
17:27I'm sorry.
17:28Let's put this guy down
17:29for a second.
17:29I can't keep talking
17:30about him with a head
17:32that's not even on his body
17:33in the first place.
17:34So we'll just pop that
17:35back under the ball joint.
17:36Get that all the way on there.
17:37We'll just leave it.
17:38Yeah, there we go.
17:39Yeah, the pockets
17:39are a little bit different
17:40from the Halloween 6
17:41Michael Myers,
17:42the H2O Michael Myers.
17:44So there's a little bit
17:45of differences there.
17:46All in all,
17:46though,
17:46I think it's a really
17:47good looking figure.
17:48I know, again,
17:48like some people
17:49don't really like
17:49the design of a Michael Myers
17:50where you see
17:51such visible eyes like this.
17:53We are still going
17:53to be getting ourselves
17:54a resurrection Michael.
17:56And I'm hoping,
17:56though,
17:57with the now introduction
17:58of a Halloween H2O Michael,
17:59that we're eventually
18:00going to be getting ourselves
18:01a Carrie Tate as well.
18:02Now, for the figures
18:03of articulation,
18:04if you're familiar
18:04with Michael Myers by now,
18:06then you'll be obviously
18:07familiar with the posability
18:08that this guy possesses as well.
18:10Head's going to be
18:10on a bulge, right?
18:11So the head,
18:12first of all,
18:12does rotate,
18:13I suppose,
18:13all the way around.
18:15The head can look down
18:16and it can look up
18:17and you can also move it
18:18back and forth as well.
18:19There is technically
18:20some posability.
18:22Like,
18:22if you feel like his torso,
18:24there's definitely
18:24some softer material here.
18:27Not to the point where,
18:28really,
18:28I guess you could be able
18:28to move it that much.
18:30It almost feels like
18:31you'd be able to crunch it
18:32just a little bit,
18:33but with the material
18:33being so hard like this,
18:35you can't really do
18:36too much with it.
18:37The arms do rotate
18:38all the way around.
18:39You can also hinge out
18:40the arms so you can get
18:41easily a T-pose
18:42or 90-degree angle bend.
18:44There is no swivel here
18:45at the top of the bicep.
18:46However, though,
18:46there is a swivel
18:47right at the top
18:48where the first joint starts.
18:50There's technically
18:50two joints of Michael Myers,
18:52one here and one here.
18:54The figure does also
18:54have a swivel in the hands
18:56rotating all the way around
18:57and a little hinge
18:57back and forth there too.
18:58standard levels of poseability,
19:00so you're going to have
19:01a split on the legs.
19:02Again, I know some people
19:03don't really like the fact
19:05that this section of his body
19:06does bow out like this.
19:07It does make him look
19:08very diaper-ish,
19:09but because, again,
19:10this lower half of his body
19:12is really technically
19:12attached to the top
19:13of his torso anyways,
19:15I don't think it...
19:16It doesn't bother me as much.
19:17I mean, again,
19:17they really have to work
19:19with what they have
19:20to work with.
19:21If this was a retro cloth figure,
19:22for example,
19:22this would all be done
19:23in fabric.
19:24It may fall naturally
19:25more better on the figure's body.
19:27With using plastic,
19:28it's the best that you're
19:28probably going to be able to get.
19:30Legs go forward.
19:31Yes, they do.
19:31They also go back as well.
19:33There's a swivel
19:33at the top of the thigh.
19:34Watch me swivel,
19:35swivel, swivel.
19:36There's also a single hinge
19:37in the knee.
19:38That's all it's going to do.
19:38That's not technically true.
19:40It does bend at the knee.
19:41You can also rotate it
19:42back and forth this way as well.
19:43And then Michael Myers
19:44does have a hinge
19:44up and down this way
19:45and an ankle rocker as well.
19:48Best of the Michaels
19:48that we've gotten so far
19:49from NECA,
19:50it's pretty high.
19:51It's pretty high.
19:53Again, I say this as a biased guy.
19:55I just generally like
19:55Halloween H2O anyways.
19:56I just recently watched
19:57Halloween H2O.
19:59And again, if you're looking
20:00to display this guy
20:00on the shelf,
20:01even though, again,
20:01you kind of have to overlook
20:02the problems of the canon
20:03for Halloween films in general.
20:05In realistic terms,
20:07none of these Myers
20:08really should be on display.
20:09I guess these two
20:09would really be on display
20:10or these two
20:12would be on display,
20:13but never really
20:14should all three Michael Myers
20:15be on the same shelf
20:15at the same time.
20:17Now, again,
20:17whether you look at
20:18the Blumhouse
20:19as being the true successor
20:20to Halloween 1978,
20:22I generally, though,
20:23like the direction
20:24that they went with
20:25more Halloween H2O.
20:26Laurie Strode, for me,
20:27doesn't necessarily
20:28have to be a hero character.
20:30She doesn't have to be
20:30a Sarah Connor.
20:31She could be a troubled person
20:33that just suffers
20:35through own personal demons.
20:36This Carrie Tate,
20:37for example,
20:37drunk, drank a lot,
20:38and until finally
20:39at the very end of the movie,
20:40she faced her fears
20:41and faced the monster.
20:42And I like that.
20:43I like that more
20:44as instead of Laurie Strode
20:45that just had the events
20:46happen 40 plus years ago,
20:48and somehow she has still
20:49held on to the idea
20:50that one night
20:51a killer would then escape
20:5240 years later.
20:54All in all,
20:55the figure does really look good.
20:56I think the accessories
20:57for the most part
20:57are good, too.
20:58I mean, it's kind of
20:59still jarring to see
21:00a pumpkin that isn't
21:01carved into a jack-o'-lantern,
21:03but that is something,
21:04again, we see in the film.
21:05Again, you've got
21:05a bunch of different knives.
21:06You get yourself the axe.
21:07You could display
21:08Michael Myers with the axe.
21:09Or, again,
21:10let's hope we get ourselves
21:11a Halloween H2O.
21:12Laurie Strode
21:12slash Carrie Tate
21:14slash Carrie Tate.
21:15And I'm sure she's probably
21:16going to be coming
21:17with an axe for that.
21:17All in all,
21:18a great-looking Michael Myers.
21:19It took me a little bit while
21:20to actually get my hands
21:21finally on him,
21:22but I'm so glad that I did.
21:23See, Michael Myers
21:24has successfully lowered himself
21:25on the top rafters
21:26with only the one arm,
21:27leaving then the other arm
21:28perfectly to hold the axe,
21:30which really isn't
21:30actually true.
21:31Laurie Strode
21:32or Carrie Tate
21:33is the one that's
21:33holding the axe
21:34at the time that
21:34Michael Myers does that feat,
21:36but then she proceeds
21:36to stab him several times.
21:38To go back,
21:39and what was interesting
21:40about that,
21:40to watch that scene again,
21:42Laurie actually,
21:42I counted this,
21:43she stabs him six times,
21:45similar to what
21:46they did with Loomis.
21:47Loomis shot Michael Myers
21:48six times,
21:49and what ended up happening?
21:50He fell off the balcony
21:51of the house.
21:52Laurie, or Carrie,
21:54stabs him six times,
21:55and then what ends up happening?
21:57Michael Myers falls
21:57from the balcony
21:58onto the tabletop.
21:59A great nod, though,
22:00to the original 1978 film.
22:02What's also kind of cool, too,
22:03is that at the very end
22:04of the movie,
22:04when Laurie is standing there
22:06with the axe in her hand,
22:07she is heavy breathing
22:08in the same way
22:09that they wrapped the film up
22:10in the 1978 film.
22:11I think that's cool, though,
22:12that they make so many references
22:13to the original,
22:14and they also make references
22:15that they throw in there as well
22:16with Janet Leigh and Psycho,
22:18down to the fact
22:18she's even driving
22:19the exact same car
22:20she did in the film as well.
22:21There's a lot of cool Easter eggs
22:23in the Halloween H20 film.
22:24There's a lot of cool things
22:25that they also throw in
22:26with Michael Myers here.
22:27I think the mask
22:28looks good on him.
22:29There are still a few little things
22:31from a figure standpoint
22:31I probably would have tweaked.
22:33I think his hair
22:33probably could have been
22:34a little spikier.
22:35I actually kind of really like
22:36the fact that Michael Myers
22:37does have spiky hair.
22:38Visible eyes, I know,
22:39is probably a deal-breaker
22:40for a lot of fans
22:41of Michael Myers.
22:41They generally, though,
22:43like to have the shape
22:43be completely shapeless.
22:45Now, speaking of shapeless faces,
22:47I mean, obviously,
22:47the figure does also come in clear
22:48with the K&B head sculpt.
22:49I'm never going to be
22:50displaying him at all with that,
22:52unless I decide to maybe
22:53pick up a second Michael Myers.
22:55It's happened in the past.
22:56If I end up doing that,
22:57then, yeah,
22:58maybe I'll end up
22:58displaying him that way.
23:00Don't so quickly discard
23:01the idea of not using
23:02the CG mask.
23:03I think with a little
23:03of the customization,
23:05you could probably get yourself
23:06a closer resembling
23:071978 shape mask
23:08using that head sculpt.
23:10And you would trying to do that
23:11with the Ben Tramer head.
23:13There's a few things wrong
23:14also with the Ben Tramer head.
23:15I mean,
23:16the sideburns are still intact.
23:17The face looks a little bit puffier.
23:19I think you probably get
23:20a lot more mileage
23:20using the CG mask.
23:22So I don't think it's
23:23a complete waste
23:23that they included that
23:24with the figure.
23:25The only one thing
23:26that he doesn't actually have
23:27is the cursed
23:28Michael Myers mask
23:28that we see at the very beginning
23:29of the movie
23:30when he ends up killing Marion.
23:32Other than that, though,
23:32I think the figure has
23:33everything he needs to have.
23:35I mean, yeah,
23:35maybe a drawer from the kitchen
23:36would have been an ideal thing
23:38with a slot that you could then
23:39still embed the knife
23:40the exact same way.
23:42Other than that,
23:42and maybe changing the color
23:43of the coveralls
23:44to more of an ash gray,
23:46more of a grayish blue
23:47than the blue
23:47that we get right here.
23:49It's a pretty good looking
23:50Michael Myers.
23:51Do you agree with that?
23:52Disagree with that?
23:52Let me know down below.
23:53And what do you guys think
23:54of the Halloween H20 mask?
23:56Do you like, though,
23:57that Michael Myers
23:57has visible eyes
23:58or you prefer that the eyes
23:59be sunken, dark,
24:01the blackest eyes?
24:02If you guys did enjoy this video,
24:03you can do a solid
24:04and throw it a like.
24:05You guys want to stick around

24:09coming your way
24:10for the rest of Spottober,
24:11which is coming close
24:12to an end.
24:13If you're looking
24:13at the outdated calendar,
24:15the outdated calendar,
24:16although to be fair,
24:17is telling me
24:17that Halloween is on a Wednesday.
24:19No, you stupid
24:19outdated calendar.
24:20Halloween is not on a Wednesday.
24:22Halloween, in fact,
24:23is actually on a Friday.
24:24Very few times
24:25we've actually,
24:26well, I guess anyone looking at,
24:27if you probably put that
24:28in Google,
24:29how many times
24:29has Halloween happened
24:30on a Friday?
24:31You could come up
24:32with the answer
24:32a lot quicker
24:33than I'm trying to guess
24:34right now.
24:35There's probably been
24:35a good handful of times
24:36in the last decades or so
24:38where we've had
24:38Friday Halloweens,
24:40but it's pretty cool
24:41the fact that we actually
24:41can take our kids
24:42out trick-or-treating
24:43or just stay home
24:44and stay up all night
24:45watching Halloween movies.
24:47Again, if you guys
24:47did enjoy this video,
24:48do a solid throw to like.
24:49If you guys want to
24:50stick around for more so,
