00:00Welcome to the latest video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're talking about the brand new 2026 Havel Raptor PHV,
00:09which has now been officially unveiled in China and is causing quite a stir in the compact SUV
00:14segment with its impressive overall package and starting price of just over âŹ20,000.
00:20The new Raptor Purr from Great Wall Motor, also known internally as the Raptor Hi-4,
00:26is presented in a fresh guise with numerous visual and technical updates.
00:31Particularly striking are the redesigned front section with angular headlights,
00:36a slightly shrunken but all-the-more striking radiator grille structure with
00:41six rectangular black elements as well as a continuous LED light strip below the Havel logo,
00:47which has now been replaced by the GWM lettering at the rear.
00:51The rear has also been redesigned.
00:53Instead of two separate taillight units, there is now a continuous light element with 300 red LED dots.
01:02Despite the revision, characteristic features such as the black wheel arch liners with visible rivets,
01:09a side opening tailgate, a robust roof platform and a side access ladder have been retained.
01:14New black multi-spoke wheels in combination with 265R19 tires from Kaoyang Round off the rustic design.
01:25The color portfolio has been expanded to include the new mint green option,
01:32while white, ink gray, black and cloud gray are still available.
01:36Inside, Havel focuses on modern elegance and functionality.
01:41A new two-spoke steering wheel, a gear selector mounted on the steering column,
01:45a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a central 14.6-inch infotainment display characterize the driver's seat.
01:54The system is based on the in-house Coffee OS 3 platform and supports Huawei HiCar, EcoCarLink and HonorCarLink.
02:03The front seats are electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated,
02:08while the backrests of the rear seats can be tilted between 27 and 32 degrees.
02:13The equipment is supplemented by a panoramic glass roof, integrated sun visors in the rear,
02:19a Wihalt head-up display and, depending on the equipment variant, a lockable rear axle.
02:25The Havel Raptor PEV is offered in three equipment lines, Pro, Ultra and Ultra Navigator.
02:31The Pro version offers, among other things, a reversing camera with all-round visibility,
02:37panoramic glass roof, 50-watt wireless charging and ventilated and heated front seats,
02:42optionally with H and rear axle differential lock.
02:46The Ultra version comes as standard with H, the differential lock, a heated steering wheel,
02:51additional speakers, monochrome ambient lighting and an air quality management system with plasma ionization.
02:57The top model Ultra Navigator scores with an extensive camera setup at the front,
03:04rear and in a fisheye perspective.
03:07Several wheel sensors and a powerful 31 top chip to support the motorway assistant up to approximately
03:13150 km per hour, adaptive cruise control and fully automatic parking assistant with reminder function.
03:23This variant is only available with an externally mounted spare wheel.
03:28Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine combined with a dual motor system based on the P2 Plus P4 design.
03:36The gasoline engine now delivers 156 horsepower, slightly less than the previous model with 167 horsepower,
03:45while the electric motor on the rear axle alone contributes 204 horsepower.
03:51In total, the system delivers an impressive system output of 449 horsepower and a maximum torque of 750 newton meters.
04:00This enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 5.0 seconds.
04:08A new lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 35 kWh enables a purely electric range of 200 km according to CTC.
04:19Smaller batteries with 19 and 28 kWh are optionally available,
04:23which enable an electric range of around 102 and 145 km respectively.
04:30Charging can be done either via alternating current or direct current,
04:34although exact charging times can vary depending on the infrastructure.
04:38Seven different driving modes are available during driving.
04:41Standard, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud, Sand and All-Wheel Drive Mode.
04:47The intelligent H4 all-wheel drive control enables situation-dependent torque distribution with increased precision.
04:54Thanks to a new algorithm for driving on ice and snow,
04:58the accuracy of the power and torque control has been increased by around 6.5%.
05:04At the same time, the switching time between modes in the event of a loss of traction is reduced by around 25%.
05:10With a length of around 4.8 meters, a width of 1.9 meters, a height of 1.8 meters and a wheelbase of 2.7 meters,
05:19the Havel Raptor PHV is one of the more spacious representatives in its class.
05:24In July 2025, almost 5,000 units of the plug-in hybrid were sold in China.
05:34A strong sign of the growing popularity of this model.
05:38Competitors such as the Jetwar Shanghai T2 will have to brace themselves in the future.
05:43At the start of sales, the regular entry-level price is the equivalent of just over 20,000 euros.
05:48However, there is currently a limited-time promotion available that reduces the price to around 18,000 euros,
05:56including a cash bonus of around 3,000 euros and a trade-in bonus of around 1,200 euros.
