00:00Welcome to the Tuning Blog Video.
00:03Today, it's all about the new Nissan Patrol Nismo, the sportiest model in the series and a serious challenge to the Land Cruiser GR Sport and the large European SUVs.
00:15Nissan has introduced a revised version of the Performance Flagship, bringing a breath of fresh air to the world of luxury power SUVs.
00:22The new Patrol Nismo, known in North America as the Armada Nismo, is celebrating its comeback after being available in the previous generation Y2.
00:35This time, it presents itself with a clear focus on road use.
00:40Instead of off-road qualities, the focus is on dynamics.
00:43This is immediately apparent from the ground clearance, which has been reduced by around 5 cm and is now around 19 cm.
00:53The new body kit also contributes to the sportier look.
00:57Visually, the Patrol Nismo differs significantly from the standard model.
01:02A new radiator grille ensures better air supply to the radiator.
01:05The front bumper with splitter improves brake cooling.
01:08There are also side air intakes, sills, a rear diffuser, a rear fog light inspired by formula erasing and an extended rear spoiler.
01:19Red accents run through all elements, matching the red O in the Nismo logo.
01:24The modified body also brings new dimensions.
01:28The Nismo is around 9 cm longer and around 4 cm wider than the standard Patrol.
01:33The off-road, approach, ramp and departure angles are reduced by up to 4 degrees due to the lowered suspension.
01:41In terms of colors, buyers can choose from 5 paint finishes, including the exclusive Stealth Grey, White Pearl Effect, Grey Metallic, Blue Metallic and Black Pearl Effect.
01:52Two-tone variants with a black roof are also available.
01:56The red and black theme is consistently continued inside.
02:02The seats, dashboard, door panels and center console are presented in a mix of leather and suede.
02:08Red seat belts and a highlighted red 12 o'clock dot on the steering wheel round off the sporty appearance.
02:15Nismo logos are embroidered into the headrests, but the changes are not just visual.
02:20Nissan has equipped the chassis with special adaptive shock absorbers, which, according to the manufacturer, provide more control at high speeds and better stability in tight corners.
02:33The electronic power steering and the vehicle dynamics control have also been adapted accordingly.
02:38Forged 22-inch aluminum rims, developed in collaboration with the Japanese rim manufacturer race, ensure good contact with the road.
02:51Despite the weight-optimized wheels, the Patrol Nismo weighs around 2.8 tons, around 4 kg more than the base model.
02:58The Patrol Nismo is powered by a revised 3.5 liter V6 biturbo gasoline engine, which now delivers around 503 horsepower in sport mode.
03:10A significant leap forward from the approximately 431 horsepower of the standard model.
03:16The maximum torque remains at around 700 Nm.
03:20Power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
03:26The sound is made even more powerful by a new Nismo exhaust system.
03:32Currently, the Patrol Nismo is only intended for left-hand drive markets.
03:37However, an introduction in Australia, where the previous version was not offered, has not yet been completely ruled out.
03:43For those interested in the price, the Patrol Nismo is estimated to cost around 100,000 dollars, which is roughly 92,000 euros.
03:54More details and all information about the vehicle can be found in the article.
