00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog, where today we introduce the new electric SUV ZAKAR 7X.
00:09Gilly's ambitious answer to the Tesla Model Y.
00:12The 7X is an upper-middle-class crossover SUV and was first presented in China in the summer of 2024.
00:19Although a specific date for the market state in Germany is still pending, the model is already preparing for its introduction in Europe.
00:25The first vehicles are scheduled to be delivered in the Netherlands from June.
00:34ZAKAR is a premium brand of the Chinese Gilly Group, which also includes Volvo, Polestar and Link Co.
00:40While Volvo and Polestar also focus on premium electromobility,
00:44Sear positions itself as a modern, innovative brand for Generation Z and tech-savvy customers,
00:49while Link Company appeals to the broader middle class.
00:52The name SAI is a neologism intended to symbolize this target group.
01:02Technically, the ZR7X is based on Gilly's own S-platform,
01:06which is now also used in an advanced version called PMA2 Plus in models such as the Seaser 007
01:11as well as vehicles from Lotus and Polestar.
01:13In its top model, the 7X is equipped with two electric motors,
01:20which together deliver a system output of an impressive 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 710 Nm.
01:27The more powerful of the two motors is located on the rear axle.
01:33Thanks to this drive architecture, the SUV, which weighs around 2.5 tons,
01:37accelerates from 0 to 100 km per hour in just around 3.8 seconds in its most powerful version.
01:45Depending on the configuration, the acceleration time is up to 6 seconds,
01:49with the top speed being around 210 km per hour.
01:52In everyday use, according to initial user reviews online,
01:58the drive seems surprisingly controlled and at the same time powerful.
02:03The handling in curves is particularly impressive,
02:06which is made possible by the precise steering and the optional air suspension with height adjustment.

02:15Uneven surfaces are effortlessly smoothed out and the chassis remains comfortable even when driving in a sporty manner.
02:20The dimensions of the ZX underline its claim as a luxury SUV.
02:28With a total length of around 4.8 meters, a width of almost 2 meters,
02:33a height of around 1.7 meters and a wheelbase of 2.9 meters,
02:37the five-door model offers generous space.
02:40In the interior, four adults in particular benefit from plenty of freedom of movement,
02:45supported by high-quality, very comfortably designed seats.
02:48The interior is dominated by a high-center console,
02:52separating the driver and front passenger.
02:55A 16-inch touchscreen is located in the center of the dashboard.
02:59This is complemented by a fully digital instrument cluster with a diagonal of 13 inches.
03:06An impressive 36.2-inch head-up display is available as an option.
03:10The operating concept is very reminiscent of the Volvo and Polistar models and is largely controlled via the central touchscreen.
03:19Even the settings for the steering wheel and mirrors are controlled via the screen.
03:23Nevertheless, after a short period of familiarization, the vehicle is easy to handle.
03:28Six driving modes are available, including an off-road mode.
03:31The charging infrastructure of the Zika 7X is designed for maximum efficiency.
03:38At 800-volt fast charging stations with up to 480 kilowatts charging capacity,
03:43the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just around 16 minutes.
03:48SEA offers various battery variants.
03:50The basic version has a 75 kilowatts lithium-ion phosphate battery,
03:57while the more powerful models are equipped with a 100 kilowatts nickel-manganese cobalt battery from supplier Cat Quillen.
04:07These batteries enable ranges of up to 480 kilometers for the basic version with rear-wheel drive,
04:12up to 615 kilometers for the long-range version,
04:16and up to 543 kilometers for the all-wheel drive version,
04:19each measured according to the WLTP cycle.
04:24An integrated onboard charger with 22 kilowatts output allows full charging in around 4.5 to 5.5 hours.
04:32Depending on the model, a bidirectional V2L charging function with up to 3.3 kilowatts is also available.
04:39In terms of equipment, the Zekker 7X leaves little to be desired.
04:43Standard equipment includes a folding rear seat, a large panoramic roof,
04:49internet access, matrix LED headlights, a heat pump, retractable door handles and frameless side windows.
04:57A charging sensor above the windshield is also on board.
05:00Safety and driving comfort are ensured by modern assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control,
05:07all-round camera monitoring and an intelligent parking assistant.
05:11The towing capacity is up to 2 tons.
05:14The boot volume is almost 540 out.
05:17The market launch for the Zekker 7X in China was already in the second half of 2024.
05:24Prices there correspond to around €30,500 to €44,000, depending on the equipment.
05:32The market launch in Europe will take place in 2025,
05:36starting in countries such as the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway.
05:40Prices start at around €53,000 for the basic model with a 75-liter battery.
05:45The long-range version with all-wheel drive starts at around €56,000,
05:52while the top model with a large battery and all-wheel drive costs around €63,000.
06:00Zekker grants a warranty of 5 years or 100,000 kilometers on the 7X,
06:05and even 8 years or 200,000 kilometers on the battery.
