00:03Today we're talking about Xiaomi's new electric luxury SUV, the WU7,
00:08which was presented as the next step after the success of the Su7 sedan.
00:14Xiaomi founder and CEO Eljun has announced the first details ahead of the official market launch on May 22,
00:20giving an exciting insight into the company's upcoming flagship series.
00:24The WU7 is intended to pave the way for Xiaomi into the highly competitive segment of large, high-performance electric SUVs.
00:34According to Lijun, the focus during development is on performance, comfort and innovative technology.
00:41The design borrows elements from the Su7 but offers more interior space, greater driving comfort and additional functions for everyday use.
00:48The name WU7 can be loosely translated as Land Chariot that rides the wind or reference to its dynamic appearance.
00:58Regulatory documents from China show that the O7 is around 5 meters long, 2 meters wide and 1.6 meters high.
01:06The wheelbase is 3 meters, placing the vehicle in the class of large luxury SUVs, comparable to the Tesla Model X or the NIO ES8.
01:14Two drivetrain variants will be available, a base model with a 320-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle,
01:24and a more powerful version with two motors delivering a combined 691 horsepower.
01:30The top speed of the more powerful variant is approximately 253 kilometers per hour.
01:35Two battery packs are available, one with 96.3 kWh and a larger one with 101.7 kWh, which, according to the CRTC standard, should enable a range of up to 820 kilometers.
01:49Although no complete information on the interior has been released,
01:57Lejeune announced that the 7 will feature advanced connectivity features that work seamlessly with Xiaomi's digital ecosystem.
02:07Autonomous driving functions and high-quality interior materials are also said to be part of the concept,
02:12in keeping with the spirit of a technologically-oriented driving experience.
02:16The Derry U7 will be positioned as the brand's flagship SUV,
02:21with an expected price between approximately 51,000 euros and 64,000 euros.
02:29The full unveiling is planned for the third quarter of 2025,
02:32with first deliveries expected to begin shortly thereafter.
