00:13A vehicle that raises the bar in the high-performance sedan segment.
00:18With a peak output of around 1,300 hp and state-of-the-art technology,
00:22the luxury sedan from BYD's subsidiary brand Young already cuts a strong figure on paper.
00:30The Yangon U7 is an electrically-powered sedan that celebrated its premiere in China in the second quarter of 2024.
00:37With a price of around $130,000, the vehicle is aimed at competitors such as the BMW i5, the Mercedes iQ and the Tesla Model S-Plate.
00:47However, it also competes with the Porsche Tan and the ZR001FR.
00:51The vehicle is based on BYD's E4 platform, which is already used in other models such as the UVU8 Super Sports Car.

01:05Four electric motors, each with a peak output of 240 kW, drive the sedan and deliver an impressive total output of 960k.

01:20Thanks to all-wheel drive and the ability to decouple the front wheels, the car is both sporty and efficient.
01:25The top speed is 270 km per hour.
01:31The Chinese CLTC cycle indicates an impressive range of 720 to 800 km.
01:37This is made possible by a huge 135.5 kWh LFP battery.
01:43With its weight of 900 kg, this contributes significantly to the total mass of around 3,100 kg.
01:49The design of the U7 was created by Wolfgang Egger, a former Audi designer, and gives the sedan an elegant coupé appearance.
01:58The C-shaped headlights are reminiscent of the Yangong Super Sports Car U9.
02:04The body is characterized by striking details such as beads along the flanks, recessed door handles and a continuous strip of rear light.
02:11A large diffuser at the rear and 21-inch alloy wheels ensure a sporty look.
02:21With a length of 5.7 meters, a width of 2 meters and a height of 1.50 meters, the U7 is a truly large vehicle.
02:29The wheelbase of 3,160 millimeters offers an impressive amount of space in the interior.
02:37Another highlight is the variable air resistance with a CD value of just 0.195, which is achieved through optional rear-view cameras, aerodynamic wheel covers and optimized skirts.
02:47The technical equipment is also impressive.
02:53Sensors in the radiator grille and sound systems on the roof indicate advanced autonomous driving functions and numerous assistance systems.
03:01The interior is dominated by three large screens, which are already familiar from other Yangkwang models.
03:07The U7 can be configured as a four- or five-seater and offers a luxurious ambience that leaves nothing to be desired.
