00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about a very special vehicle, the Jaguar CX-75.
00:08A legend that was once just a concept, but now gets a second chance on the asphalt in the form of a restored James Bond car.
00:17Jaguar has always stood for style, speed and luxury and hardly any model embodies these values as strongly as the CX-75.
00:24Originally presented as a concept car in 2010, the plan for series production was never realized.
00:32But icons are not forgotten.
00:35Especially not when a designer like Ian Kellum works to breathe new life into them.
00:42One of the four original CX-75 models from the film Spectre has now been completed by come in a revised form as a road-legal supercar.
00:50This car 001 is the second model restored by KUM.
00:57A homage to the original concept, but significantly advanced on a technical and design level.
01:04More than 1,000 hours of work went into refining the body alone.
01:09The result?
01:09A willow green colored vehicle featuring brushed aluminum accents on the windows, a polished metal grille, and redesigned taillights with improved light distribution.
01:22The design is complemented by carbon fiber elements at the rear and an etched CX-75 logo on the exhaust tailpipe.
01:29A newly developed aerodynamic package brings the vehicle up to date, including an active airbrake mechanism that improves handling at high speeds.
01:41The 20 and 21-inch aluminum wheels underscore the modern, aggressive look.
01:47Under the hood, the original turbocharged 5-liter V8 engine continues to operate, but is now paired with a C-Bang dual-clutch automatic transmission.
01:55The revised software and electronics give the vehicle a noticeably more dynamic driving feel, enhanced by a special sport mode that enables faster gear shifts and more direct throttle response.
02:12The hydraulic lift system on the front axle also ensures everyday usability without losing sight of performance.
02:18The interior has been completely redesigned and combines technology with handcrafted luxury.
02:26Instead of the film-specific interior, there is now a cockpit with dark green and cream bridge-of-wear leather, a redesigned steering wheel, dashboard, and center console.
02:37The controls have been replaced with rotating control units with integrated touchscreens.
02:41Modern extras such as a wireless charging pad, Apple CarPlay, a bespoke sound system, a digital rear-view mirror, and improved sound insulation round out the picture.
02:55Even though Cum hasn't provided any specific information on the price, it's easy to guess that this one-off isn't a cheap purchase.
03:03Estimates suggest the conversion could easily cost several hundred thousand euros.
03:07The question of whether the last two film cars will also find their way to Cum remains open.
03:13One thing is certain, however, the vision of the Jaguar CX-75 as a road-legal supercar lives on.
03:21A dream that many had long since given up on.
