00:04This time, it's all about the world premiere of the brand new Chevrolet Captiva PHFL,
00:09which was just unveiled in Mexico.
00:13With the new 2026 model year, General Motors is launching its first ever plug-in hybrid on the
00:19Mexican market, thereby sending a clear signal for the shift towards more efficient and
00:23technologically advanced vehicles in the compact SUV segment.
00:30The new Captiva with plug-in hybrid drive is not only intended to electrify Mexico,
00:34but will also be offered in other Latin American countries in the future.
00:40The drive consists of a 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle gasoline engine combined with an electric motor,
00:46which together deliver a system output of approximately 207 horsepower and a torque of
00:51around 310 Nm.
00:54Thanks to this combination, the Captiva PFR is expected to achieve a total range of more
00:59than 1,100 km.
01:02An extremely attractive option for frequent drivers, but also for everyday urban driving
01:07in purely electric mode.
01:10In addition to the drivetrain, the new model also scores points with comprehensive connectivity
01:15and a variety of modern assistance systems that are installed as standard.
01:20The design is also contemporary and robust, as is typical of the brand, while the equipment
01:25options are intended to meet the increased demands for comfort and safety.
01:32Prices have not yet been officially announced, but initial estimates suggest that the starting
01:37price could be around âŹ30,000.
01:38The market launch in Mexico is planned for the fourth quarter with gradual introduction to other markets.
