00:00Welcome to the tuning blog video. Today we're talking about the Xiaomi Su7, which will soon
00:07be available in Germany. The Chinese electronics company Xiaomi, previously known for its
00:13smartphones, is causing a sensation with this electric car. In China, the Su7 has already
00:20outpaced Porsche and is now also coming to Germany at an unbeatable price. The standard version of
00:26the Su7 starts with 300 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 kmh in 5.3 seconds. It is delivered with
00:35either a 74 kWh battery or, in the pro version, with a 94 kWh battery, which enables a CRTC range
00:43of between 668 and 860 km. But if you think that's already impressive, you should take a look at the
00:51Su7 Max. This model delivers 67 hp all-wheel drive and manages the sprint from 0 to 100 kmh in just
01:002.87 seconds. This would put Xiaomi on par with renowned sports car manufacturers. But the Chinese
01:08company goes even further. The Su7 Ultra is the ultimate model and breaks all previous standards.
01:15With over 1,500 hp, the car catapults itself to 100 kmh in less than 2 seconds. Its forward thrust
01:23only ends at 350 kmh. The Ultra is currently available in China for the equivalent of €70,000 a price that
01:32European manufacturers can only marvel at. Xiaomi CEO William Liu confirmed at the Mobile World
01:40Congress in Barcelona that the company plans to officially enter the international market from
01:442027. This would also seal the attack on top dog Porsche in Germany.
01:49And it is already clear that Xiaomi is serious here. The Su7 Ultra has already beaten the Porsche Taken
01:58Turbo GT on the racetrack. A prototype set an impressive time of 648 minutes on the Nürburgring
02:05Nordschelief in 2024. By comparison, the Taken Turbo GT holds a best time of 7 minutes there.
02:14The Su7 also prevailed at the Shanghai International Circuit.
02:17On February 14, 2025, it completed the lap in 2 minutes and 10 seconds.
02:25A blink of an eye faster than the Taken Turbo GT, which took 2 minutes and 11 seconds.
02:31Xiaomi is in a different league not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of price.
02:38While the Taken Turbo GT starts at €240,000 in Germany,
02:42the Su7 will probably be offered at a much lower price here.
02:48Even though Xiaomi will sell the Su7 Ultra for significantly more in Europe than in China,
02:53it remains a real bargain compared to Porsche.
02:56This gives Xiaomi the freedom to adjust the price as it sees fit,
03:00while the Su7 remains unrivaled in its price range.
03:04The Su7 Ultra has already impressed on the racetrack,
03:07but what about in everyday use? Unlike the Nürburgring prototype with its carbon fiber body,
03:13the production model is made of conventional sheet metal.
03:17Only the hood is made of aluminum.
03:20The Su7 Ultra also has almost identical driver assistance systems to the other Su7 models.
03:27This allows the car to drive largely autonomously through city traffic.
03:30According to initial reports, this provides a realistic driving experience.
03:36Despite its enormous power, the vehicle remains reserved in autonomous mode
03:40and only releases its full power when requested.
03:44Whether the Su7 Ultra is suitable as an everyday car remains to be seen.
03:49However, this is unlikely to be a factor for wealthy buyers looking for an electric car with brute power.
03:55More than 1,500 horsepower are just waiting to be unleashed.
