00:03Today we're talking about the new Toyota Corolla Cross G Sport for the 2025 model year.
00:09The compact SUV has received a subtle facelift and, for the first time, is being expanded to include a sporty GR Sport variant.
00:19While the Corolla Cross remains a rather understated vehicle, the latest changes at least give it a little more character.
00:25The visual innovations begin at the front with a new honeycomb grille and sharper headlights.
00:34Particularly striking is a continuous LED light strip, although this is only available with the higher quality hay trim level.
00:41There are also adjustments at the rear.
00:45The taillights have small fins, which Toyota says should improve aerodynamics and stability, although one might be skeptical here.
00:52In addition, the Corolla Cross now rolls on newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels as standard.
01:01The interior continues with practical and visually appealing innovations.
01:05These include a larger center console, a redesigned gearshift lever, a wireless charging pad for smartphones, a modern infotainment system with a 10.5-inch display, and a digital instrument cluster with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches.
01:23Toyota also promises improvements in driving comfort.
01:27Two hybrid drivetrains are available for the European market.
01:30The hybrid 140 combines a 1.8-liter cylinder with an electric motor, delivering a system output of 140 horsepower.
01:40Those seeking a bit more power can opt for the hybrid 200, which, with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, achieves a total output of 197 horsepower.
01:50The new GR SportB variant primarily brings visual enhancements.
01:55It has a specially designed front apron and a grille in the style of the GR Corolla.
02:02There are also exclusive black 19-inch wheels and the storm-gray paint color, which is only available for this version.
02:10In terms of performance, however, everything remains the same.
02:13The Corolla Cross GR Sport isn't a true GR model like the Lexus LBX Morso RR.
02:19However, there have been slight technical adjustments designed to make the car sportier.
02:25The suspension has been lowered by 10mm and redesigned, the steering has been retuned, and paddle shifters are now standard.
02:35A sport mode and an additional snow driving mode complement the package.
02:39The facelifted Corolla Cross's market launch in Europe is planned for mid-2025.
02:45A specific date for other markets has yet to be announced.
