00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, it's all about the upcoming Omoda 3, a compact crossover from China that surprises not only with its robotic design, but also with influences from the Lamborghini Urus.
00:16It is scheduled to be offered in Europe from 2026.
00:20The Omoda 3 was recently presented at Omoda Zhu's headquarters in Wuhu, China, and is the brand's smallest model, positioned below the already well-known Omoda 5.
00:31At 4.2 meters long, the crossover competes against models like the MG4, the Kia EV3, and the Dacia Duster.
00:38The angular, sporty look with strongly-shaped fenders, squared wheel arches, and an adjustable light signature at the rear is clearly tailored to the tastes of European customers.
00:55Particularly striking is the front, whose shape of the headlights and bumper is inevitably reminiscent of the Lamborghini Urus.
01:02Technically, the Omoda 3 is based on the T1X platform, which is already used in the Omoda 5, 7, and 9, as well as the JQ models 5 and 7.
01:14The interior design is aimed specifically at a younger audience and features some playful elements.
01:23These include a spaceship sound mode, futuristic, science fiction-inspired digital graphics in the cockpit,
01:29the option to connect a Nintendo switch to the infotainment screen,
01:33as well as a tuning option called the official racing pack and official foils.
01:40At the center of the minimalist interior is a vertically-mounted central screen, framed by a surrounding LED light strip.
01:49Particularly striking is the fighter jet-style start button with a folding protective cover.
01:55This is also a clear homage to Lamborghini.
01:57Omoda is planning three drive variants for the 3-series.
02:02A pearly electric version, a classic hybrid, and a plug-in hybrid.
02:09The official presentation is planned for the end of 2025, and the market launch is expected towards the end of 2026.
02:17We expect the price to start at around âŹ20,000.
02:20The fully-electric version with good equipment should be around âŹ30,000.
02:27As always, you'll find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
