Der Buick Electra L7 ist das erste Modell der neuen Submarke „Electra“ von Buick, speziell für den chinesischen Markt entwickelt. Mit modernem EREV-Antrieb (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) kombiniert er einen 1,5-Liter-Turbobenziner mit 156 PS als Range Extender und einen Elektromotor mit 343 PS an der Hinterachse. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit beträgt 200 km/h.
Die Maße des Electra L7 liegen bei 5,0 m Länge, 2,0 m Breite, 1,5 m Höhe und 3,0 m Radstand. Das Leergewicht beträgt 2.100 kg. In der gezeigten Avenir-Topversion überzeugt das Fahrzeug mit viel Chrom, 19-Zoll-Felgen, Panoramadach und digitalem Cockpit.
Technisch spannend: Der L7 ist mit einem Level-2-Autopiloten ausgestattet, unterstützt durch ein Lidar-System auf dem Dach und einem KI-basierten Qualcomm-Chip. Außen zeigen Signallichter an, wenn das System aktiv ist.
Ein reines Elektro-Modell ist für später geplant. Marktstart des Plug-in-Hybriden ist für Q3 in China angesetzt, Preis voraussichtlich ab ca. 45.000 €.
