00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about a particularly exciting topic, the new Golfstream J800.
00:09A business jet that not only boasts impressive technology,
00:13but even surprised its own developers after Golfstream announced the end of production of the G650 family in February.
00:20A series that has been in service since 2009 and has transported companies, celebrities, and VIPs around the globe in both standard and long-haul versions,
00:32the G800 is now taking its place on the production line.
00:37The G800 was in development for around four years and has now received official certification from both the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, FAA,
00:45and the European Aviation Safety Agency, EASA.
00:49This clears the way for regular service.
00:53Even at its launch, the G800 was hailed as the fastest aircraft Golfstream has ever built and, at the same time,
01:01the business aircraft with the world's longest range.
01:05These claims have now been surpassed by the official figures.
01:09The G800 achieves a range of approximately 15,000 kilometers at a cruising speed of around 1,050 kilometers per hour.
01:19This is around 370 kilometers longer than originally expected.
01:23Its top speed is Mach 0.935, slightly higher than the originally planned Mach 0.925.
01:30The G800 also performs surprisingly well in terms of takeoff and landing characteristics.
01:38For takeoff, the aircraft requires a runway of approximately 1.8 kilometers, while for a safe landing, a runway of around 3.1 kilometers is sufficient.
01:47Both are shorter than initially announced.
01:49This means that the G800 can be used at even more airports around the world in the future.
01:55The aircraft is powered by two Rolls Royce Pearl 700 engines and can accommodate up to 19 people.
02:03The cabin is usually divided into four living areas and a separate crew compartment, but can be customized almost infinitely.
02:13A galley is standard and includes work surfaces, refrigerators, beverage makers, other appliances, and storage space.
02:23Now that the aircraft has been certified by the FAA and EA, Gulfstream will begin deliveries to customers.
02:32It is not yet known exactly when the first model will take off in the hands of a pilot.
02:37The price has not been officially announced either.
02:41However, it is expected to be at a similar level to that of the previous model.
02:45This means it will probably cost around 65 million euros.
02:54As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
