00:00Welcome to the new video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:15Today, for once, we're not talking about tuned super sports cars,
00:20but about a real high-performance aircraft from Switzerland,
00:22the revised Pilatus PC-24, the world's only super versatile jet.
00:27Pilatus has given its business jet a comprehensive upgrade that is quite impressive.
00:34More range, more payload and an all-round improved flying experience.
00:39The engineers from St. Gallen have explored the limits of what is possible with over 1,000
00:44technical modifications and created an aircraft that sets new standards in its class.
00:51Refined structural work on the wings and fuselage has made it possible to reduce the empty weight
00:56while at the same time increasing the maximum takeoff weight.
01:00This results in an increase in payload of around 250 kg.
01:04In combination with single pilot operation, this results in a maximum payload of almost 600 kg.
01:12Those planning shorter flights can even transport around 1 ton and 400 kg.
01:18The range with six passengers on board has increased by 350 km to around 3,700 km.
01:26A remarkable step forward for all frequent flyers.
01:31The distance required for takeoff at maximum takeoff mass at sea level is just 942 m,
01:37making the PC-24 ideal for smaller and even unpaved runways.
01:42The interior has also undergone some changes.
01:46The already spacious cabin, which Pilatus claims is the largest in its class, has been further optimized.
01:53The noise level has been noticeably reduced, further improving on-board comfort.
01:58The welcome center has been redesigned to be more ergonomic.
02:02New storage areas and a fold-out side-facing sofa.
02:06Almost 2 meters long and convertible into a bed, it provides even more flexibility.
02:11A new entertainment system developed with Lufthansa Technic offers modern functions such as a real-time 3D map on a 10-inch touchscreen
02:20as well as four speakers including a subwoofer, atmospheric LED lighting, USB ports and a central media storage.
02:29In terms of technology, the PC-24 also impresses with the introduction of the predictive maintenance system.
02:36From serial number 501 onwards, every jet is equipped with this function, which automatically sends flight data to Pilatus after landing.
02:46On this basis, preventive maintenance recommendations can be made to further increase operational reliability and minimize downtime.
02:53The PC-24 is powered by two Williams F-44A turbofan engines, which deliver a balanced combination of performance, efficiency and versatility.
03:05Whether for corporate customers, emergency services or governments, the PC-24 is in service worldwide and proves its worth every day in a wide variety of conditions.
03:15The premiere of the revised jet took place at the National Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Las Vegas in October 2023.
03:24There, Pilatus presented a business aircraft that, according to CEO Marcus Bucher, makes no compromises in any respect.
03:31At a price of around 18 million euros, the PC-24 is in an exclusive segment.
03:39However, in view of its features, performance and versatility, it should be worth every penny for many operators.
