00:00Welcome to the video from Auto Magazine Tuning Blog on the topic of the 2025 GWM Tank 300 Diesel.
00:14As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
00:20The GBM Tank 300 Diesel will be available soon and is priced higher than the Petro model, but lower than the hybrid version.
00:29Leaked prices show that the diesel version in the Lux trim starts at around €49,500 and in the Ultra trim at around €53,500.
00:40This makes the diesel €1,500 more expensive than the comparable 2.0L Turbo Petro model and €6,500 cheaper than the hybrid version.
00:51However, current special offers valid until March 31st reduce this price difference.
00:57By then, the diesel will be €3,500 more expensive than the petrol model and only €1,100 less expensive than the hybrid.
01:05Official confirmation of these prices by GWM is still pending.
01:10It remains to be seen whether there will be further price changes for the petrol and hybrid variants
01:15and whether two model variants per drivetrain will continue to be offered.
01:22Interestingly, the diesel models adopt some of the features of the hybrid versions to justify the higher price.
01:31These include digital radio, front cross-traffic alert, a rear seat reminder function, an integrated navigation system and a smartphone app with vehicle tracking and remote control of the air conditioning.
01:44However, the automatic parking system remains exclusive to the Ultra Hybrid.
01:51The 2.4L Turbo Diesel 4-cylinder engine is derived from the Canon and Canon Alpha pickups and produces 135 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque.
02:02It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
02:06One of the diesel model's greatest strengths is its increased towing capacity of 3,000 kg with brake support.
02:13This is 500 kg more than the petrol and hybrid versions.
02:17This means that the diesel falls under a less stringent CO2 regulation under current Australian emissions regulations.
02:26The payload of the diesel also increases to 600 kg, based on a gross vehicle weight of 2,880 kg and an estimated curb weight of 2,280 kg.
02:37For comparison, the petrol models can carry a maximum of 397 kg.
02:42The hybrid models 420 kg.
02:46Both values are lower than those of competing diesel SUVs.
