00:03Today we're talking about the brand new GWM Tank 500 for the 2026 model year.
00:09An SUV that surprises with innovative technology and luxurious details.
00:15Tank Auto published official images of the new model on July 23rd, presenting the revised highlights.
00:22Visually, the Tank 500 remains true to the familiar design language.
00:26However, it gets a striking front section with a revised radiator grille structure.
00:32The horizontal chrome trim strips are now integrated directly into the headlights and ensure a more striking appearance.
00:41A technical highlight is the roof-mounted HES AI-RTX laser radar,
00:45which, in conjunction with additional cameras on the front fenders and the rear spoiler,
00:50supports the Coffee Pilot Ultra Driver Assistance System.
00:56A total of around 27 smart sensors provide a comprehensive package of functions,
01:01including assisted driving in the city and on the highway as well as intelligent parking.
01:07Inside, much remains familiar.
01:10However, the cockpit gets a new two-spoke steering wheel with a flattened lower section and a manual gear selector.
01:15The second row of seats also benefits from a popular feature, an integrated roof blind.
01:23The new Tank 500 is powered either as a classic petrol model or as a plug-in hybrid.
01:28The conventional version adopts the familiar 3.0-litre V6 biturbo engine,
01:36which delivers 340 horsepower and 500 newton-meters of torque.
01:42Power is transmitted via a new gear automatic transmission that was installed long ago.
01:47This enables the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.1 seconds.
01:53The hybrid version combines a 2.0-litre turbo engine with an electric motor and achieves a system output of 252 horsepower.
02:04The power comes from a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 59 kilowatt-hours,
02:09which, according to the WRTC standard, ensures a purely electric range of around 200 kilometers.
02:16The maximum charging capacity is 163 kilowatts.
02:20This allows the charge level to be increased from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
02:27For particularly performance-oriented drivers,
02:30there is the Hawaii 4Z version with all-wheel drive and a dual-motor setup.
02:36The two engines deliver a combined output of around 863 horsepower
02:40and an impressive total torque of around 1,200 newton-meters.
02:44Acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour takes just 4.6 seconds.
02:52Despite this performance, fuel consumption is only 8.6L per 100 kilometers according to the WLTC cycle.
03:02The battery in this version also offers 59 kilowatt-hours
03:05and enables an electric range of over 200 kilometers and a combined range of around 1,100 kilometers.
03:15Also particularly worth mentioning is the intelligent Coffee OS 3 interior system,
03:19which ensures a connected and comfortable user experience.
03:22Anyone interested in a luxurious, powerful and state-of-the-art SUV with off-road qualities
03:32should definitely keep an eye on the new Tank 500.
