00:09Today, we're all about an impressive Resto Mod of the classic Simpson S51,
00:14which shines with numerous modern components and high-quality modifications.
00:20A Resto Mod refers to an old vehicle that has been upgraded with new technologies and parts,
00:25and what works on a Ford Mustang can of course also be transferred to a Simpson.
00:30This special Simpson was built from an S50,
00:35but received the S51's four-speed engine as well as numerous other upgrades.
00:41All frame parts were first blasted, primed and coated in elegant black powder.
00:47The tank and side covers were not only carefully sealed, but also painted in an eye-catching metallic red.
00:54Modern materials were used during assembly,
00:56such as polyamide for the engine and swingarm mounts instead of the conventional rubber mounts.
01:02A completely new wiring harness was also installed,
01:06which is equipped with a 12-volt power system, a gill battery, LED indicators and a horn.
01:12The braking performance has also been significantly improved.
01:15A disc brake from ZT tuning combined with rims from race power tuning ensures modern and reliable deceleration.
01:25The rear rim measures 1.85 by 16 inches and is fitted with Savoy Diz tires, which ensure optimum traction.
01:33The upper triple clamp comes from the S51 Enduro and has a double clamp,
01:39while the ZT handlebars, including a new combination switch, improve handling.
01:45For additional comfort and stability,
01:48the shock absorbers were replaced with models from UBSS
01:51and the footrest carrier was also reinforced and redesigned.
01:54Even smaller details such as rubber parts were completely renewed to ensure the high standard of the conversion.
02:03The engine is another highlight of this project.
02:07It was completely overhauled and equipped with a DDR cylinder with 50cc,
02:12which was optimized with a Lange tuning LTP piston and reground.
02:16A new BVF-16 and N11 carburetor and a high-quality exhaust and chrome-quality round off the technical improvements.
02:27All changes made were checked by the draw and officially registered,
02:31so that the Simpson is also fully approved for road use.
02:35But that's not all.
02:37There are already plans for the future.
02:39Among other things, a narrower seat, a matching Simpson decal set,
02:45Enduro struts, a possible performance increase and a few other minor optimizations are planned.
