00:10Today, it's all about the spectacular Mazda MX-5, also known as the Miata,
00:15which has undergone an impressive transformation by the tuning company Liberty Walk.
00:21Unfortunately, we can't show you any video footage of the vehicle,
00:24but we have prepared a short how-to with the best photos to give you a better idea of the unique conversion.
00:30This Mazda MX-5 is a real statement at the Tokyo Auto Show.
00:37Wide wings, large rims and air suspension. Definitely not for the faint-hearted.
00:43With the classic Liberty Walk steel, the MX-5 clearly stands out from the production version.
00:49The bolted-on fender flares give the roadster an aggressive look,
00:53which is further enhanced by a front splitter, side skirts and a ducktail spoiler.
01:00The combination of wide Meister alloy wheels and eye-catching Yukihama Advan tires with white and red stickers fills the extra-wide wheel arches perfectly.
01:10Together with the adjustable air suspension, which lowers the car almost to the ground, the MX-5 becomes the ultimate eye-catcher.
01:17In terms of performance, the MX-5 remains unchanged.
01:22The most powerful MX-5 ND has a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine with 184 horsepower and 205 newton-meters of torque.
01:32The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, supported by a limited-slip differential.
01:39The LB-Works body kit is intended for real tuning enthusiasts, but it does come at a price.
01:46The version made of fiber-reinforced plastic FRP starts at around âŹ4,300,
01:52while the lighter version made of carbon-reinforced plastic CFP costs around âŹ5,750.
01:57Painting and assembly are not included, but there is also the option for bustlers to purchase individual components separately.
