00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog on the topic of the 2025 Citroën C5 Aircross.
00:08This article is about the exciting presentation of the new generation of the large French SUV,
00:14which boasts many innovations and brings with it some impressive changes.
00:18The new Citroën C5 Aircross makes great progress on several levels.
00:23The new version of the SUV has grown significantly, by 15 cm to almost 4.7 m in length.
00:31The width also increases by 5 cm, reaching around 1.9 m.
00:36The height, however, decreases slightly by 2-3 cm to just under 1.7 m.
00:43The rear passengers particularly benefit from the changes, as the wheelbase grows by 6 cm to around 2.8 m,
00:50which noticeably improves the amount of space available.
00:55The design of the Citroën C5 Aircross is a further development of the concept that was already presented at the Paris Motor Show.
01:03It now harmonizes more closely with other current models of the brand such as the C3, the C3 Aircross and the C4 Facelift.
01:12The front is particularly striking, with a large, flat grille and a wide mesh that contrasts with the sleek LED matrix headlights.
01:20Wheels measuring up to 20 inches reinforce the powerful stance of the side profile,
01:27while the rear is enhanced by cantilevered taillights, which Citroën claims are intended to improve aerodynamics.
01:35Inside, the C5 Aircross presents a modern and futuristic appearance.
01:40A two-spoke steering wheel and a horizontally arranged dashboard give the front end a very wide appearance.
01:46The 10.25-inch instrument cluster is complemented by a color head-up display and a 13.6-inch vertically arranged touchscreen for the infotainment system.
01:58The design is ultra-modern and offers a wide range of functions, such as the integration of Chad GPT for the voice assistant and massage programs for the seats.
02:09The slim air vents and subtle ambient lighting also contribute to the high-quality appearance.
02:16The seats of the Citroën C5 Aircross are comfortably padded, although large sections of the interior are made of hard plastic.
02:26However, these surfaces are enhanced by a piano lacquer finish with a three-dimensional effect.
02:33Particularly praiseworthy are some decorative strips on the doors and center console, which are made of 20% recycled vines.
02:39Even tall passengers enjoy generous space in the rear.
02:46Le Groom is excellent, and headroom has been improved by 7 cm compared to the predecessor.
02:52Furthermore, the seats can be individually reclined by 20-30 degrees, significantly increasing versatility and comfort.
03:00Trunk capacity ranges from a minimum of 650 liters to around 1,700 liters with the rear seats folded down 40 by 0.
03:12While the all-electric versions lack a front, the double loading floor offers ample space for the charging cable.
03:21The new Citroën C5 Aircross is powered by several engine variants.
03:26Based on the Stellantis platform, it shares many elements with models such as the Opel Grandland and the Peugeot 3008.
03:35It is powered by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with a 48-volt system and an output of 145 horsepower,
03:43combined with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
03:46The range is complemented by a plug-in hybrid, in which a 1.6-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor deliver a system output of 195 horsepower to 30 horsepower less than its predecessor.
04:01The battery of this plug-in hybrid grows to a capacity of 21 kWh, enabling an electric range of almost 90 kilometers.
04:09The charging speed is 3.7 kWh as standard.
04:15Optionally, 2.5 kWh are available.
04:19Particularly noteworthy are the two fully electric variants of the Citroën C5 Aircross.
04:25The first version offers 210 horsepower and a 73 kWh battery, which should enable a range of around 520 kilometers.
04:34The second variant delivers 230 horsepower and relies on a 97 kWh battery, promising a comfortable 680 kilometers range.
04:47When charging, the Citroën achieves up to 11 kWh with alternating current and up to 160 kWh with direct current,
04:55meaning a range of approximately 160 kilometers can be charged within 10 minutes.
05:00The new C5 Aircross will no longer be available with a diesel engine.
05:07Citroën has not yet released an official price list.
05:11However, the starting price for the 48-volt gasoline engine is expected to be around €40,000,
05:18while prices for the electric version are expected to start at around €47,500.
