00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:05Today it's all about the revised Li Auto L8 from Model Year 25.
00:10The Li Auto L8 is part of the revised L series from the Chinese manufacturer Li Auto,
00:14which also includes the L and L9 models.
00:19This series has received a comprehensive update in order to continue to hold its own in the fiercely competitive Chinese market.
00:25The Li Auto L8, in particular, stands out from its predecessor with new technologies and technical improvements.
00:34All L models, including the L8, are now equipped with an improved autonomous driving system.
00:40The Pro variant receives a LiDAR sensor on the roof for the first time.
00:45Specifically, it is the ETL LiDAR from Hisai, which is based on the ATX platform and has a range of 300 meters.
00:52Previously, this sensor was not available in the L series.
00:58The system is complemented by the Horizon Journey 6M chip, which replaces the older Horizon Journey 5.
01:05The max and ultra trim levels of the Li Auto L8 use the same ATL air sensor that replaces the previous AT18.
01:13The new sensor is 60% smaller, 55% more energy efficient, and 130% more sensitive.
01:19In these higher trim levels, the NVIDIA drive torque processor handles the computing power,
01:26with a peak performance of 700 trillion operations per second,
01:29replacing the previous dual-chip NVIDIA Warren X system with 508 top-end performance.
01:37Another highlight is the improved automatic emergency braking function.
01:40This can now bring the L8 to a standstill from speeds of up to 120 km per hour in adverse weather conditions or at night.
01:51Exactly the same speed as the Chinese highway.
01:54A plus in terms of safety.
01:57The Li Auto L8's chassis has also been redesigned.
02:00The Pro trim level now features a dual-chamber air suspension, replacing the previous single-chamber design.
02:09This innovation makes the chassis noticeably stiffer,
02:13as evidenced by the car's successful completion of the Elch test at around 80 km per hour.
02:18A significant update also affects the battery.
02:21The Maxxis version of the L8 now features a 52.3 kWh NMC battery pack,
02:28which enables a range of over 280 km in pure electric mode according to the CLTC cycle.
02:34The combined range with combustion engine assistance is over 1,400 km.
02:41In comparison, the previous model had a battery with only 42.8 kWh.
02:46The Ultra version of the L8 also only receives the improved AIDA components.
02:55The price for the Li Auto L8 of the 2025 model year is between approximately 41,000 euros and 49,000 euros,
03:02depending on the equipment variant.
03:05The L offers space for 6 people and measures 5 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 1.8 meters in height.
