00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog about the Li Mega Electric Minivan, a high-speed train for the road.
00:09The Li Mega is an electric luxury minivan designed to be particularly aerodynamic, as company founder and CEO Liang himself emphasized.
00:19Since its market launch in China in March 2024, the vehicle has also generated considerable interest in the USA,
00:26particularly after being featured on the YouTube channels of Forrest Jones and Marks Brownlee.
00:33The front design of the Li Mega is strongly reminiscent of a high-speed train.
00:38The flowing lines that extend seamlessly from the bumper to the rear window create a distinctive appearance.
00:46Its drag coefficient of 0.215D not only contributes to efficiency but also gives the minivan a futuristic appearance.
00:56The car features a short hood, a large windshield, steeply raked eight pillars, huge front triangular windows, generous side windows, and noticeably short overhangs.
01:09Recessed door handles and aerodynamic wheel covers further improve airflow along the sides.
01:14The egg-shaped silhouette and upright rear are reminiscent of the Hyundai 7 concept car.
01:22The roof houses an ultra-high-resolution long-range sensor from Hisai, enabling advanced driver assistance features, including Li Auto's autonomous driving system.
01:32Inside, the Li Mega lives up to its reputation as a flagship minivan for large families, offering a spacious and luxurious mobile living room.
01:45The 2 plus 2 plus 3 seating arrangement guarantees plenty of space for passengers, while high-quality materials and excellent craftsmanship create a premium feel.
01:54Particularly noteworthy are the swiveling and adjustable individual seats in the second row, which offer extensive adjustment options, seat heating, a massage function, and a 50-watt wireless charging station.
02:08Other highlights include a folding overhead screen, folding aircraft-style tables, and heated footrests.
02:17The third row of seats can be flexibly folded to create more cargo space when needed.
02:23The huge windshield offers an impressive view of the road.
02:28Yet the vehicle's imposing size remains ever-present.
02:31A small display sits above the horn panel on the steering wheel, showing important information such as remaining battery charge, outside temperature, and driving mode.
02:42A head-up display also ensures that the most important information is directly in the driver's field of vision.
02:50The Elemager's headroom is very generous, so even tall people won't have any problems with the ceiling height.
02:56The Napper leather seats offer excellent lumbar support and generous thigh support.
03:06The soft headrest cushions also contribute to comfort, while the armrests support an ergonomic seating position.
03:14Overall, the quality of the materials in the interior is very high, even if you wouldn't exactly call the vehicle a luxury car.
03:21Particularly positive were the responsiveness of the touchscreen, as well as the quality of the graphics and their resolution.
03:32In the second row, directly behind the driver's seat, which is adjusted for a person approximately 1.80 meters tall, there is no complaint regarding leg or knee room.
03:42The individual seats are reminiscent of those found in a private airplane cabin and feature ventilation, seat heating, a massage function, and a wireless charging unit.
03:56Ambient lighting with adjustable colors, automatic climate control with air purification, and a two-piece panoramic glass sunroof further contribute to the luxurious ambience.
04:07The third row of seats also deserves special praise.
04:12It is among the most comfortable ever installed in a minivan.
04:17Leg and knee room are comparable to the second row, while headroom is only minimally restricted.
04:24The seats offer excellent back and thigh support, are heated, and have adjustable recline.
04:29Unlike many other vehicles in this class, you don't sit in a knee-high position.
04:40Access is via the center aisle between the two second row captain's chairs, which requires some bending and twisting, especially for taller passengers.
04:50Two USB charging ports and cup holders further enhance the third row's practicality.
04:55Occupants also benefit from a 21-speaker, 260-watt Dolby Atmos sound system and active noise cancellation, which ensures a pleasantly quiet cabin.
05:09The Li Mega measures approximately 5.4 meters in length, 2 meters in width and approximately 1.9 meters in height, with a wheelbase of around 3.3 meters.
05:20The minivan is powered by an electric all-wheel drive system with two motors, a front motor with 211 horsepower and a rear motor with 33 horsepower.
05:32Together, this results in a system output of 544 horsepower and a torque of 545 newton-m.
05:39This enables the Li Mega to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.55 seconds.
05:45The minivan is powered by a 102.7 kWh KIN 5C battery pack from CATL.
05:53This enables a range of up to 710 kilometers according to the CLTC standard.
05:59Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the Li Mega is capable of charging at up to 5,525 kilowatts at fast charging stations,
06:07providing enough energy for approximately 500 kilometers of travel in just 12 minutes.
06:12This makes the Limga one of the world's fastest charging electric vehicles.
06:18Various driving modes, such as Eco, Comfort, and Sport, are also available.
06:24There are also special modes for slippery roads, downhill driving, and rough terrain, where the suspension is raised by 40 millimeters.
06:31The Li Mega is one of the best-equipped three-row vehicles ever introduced.
06:40It was launched in China in March 2024 with a starting price of approximately 72,800 euros.
06:48For Li Auto, this model represents an important opportunity to establish itself in the high-priced electric minivan segment and compete against renowned brands.
06:58The company has also announced a new version for 2025, the Li Mega Ultra, which will feature an advanced autonomous driving architecture.
