00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today we're talking about the Jair Electric Sedan,
00:07the first model from Juniao Airlines' new automotive division.
00:11The Chinese airline, which has been one of China's largest domestic carriers since 2005,
00:17forged its way into the automotive industry in 2023 by acquiring the struggling startup Judo.
00:24The first step in this expansion is the Jor,
00:27an electric five-door hatchback that was initially launched in Thailand in December 2024
00:33and is now also available in China with left-hand drive.
00:38The JY will launch on the Chinese market at a price of around €19,000,
00:43significantly higher than the entry-level prices of its local rivals.
00:48By comparison, models like the Xpeng Mona M03 and the Donfeng Nissan N7 start at around €16,000,
00:55and the FAU Volkswagen ID.3 at around €17,000.
01:02This places the Jho Air in a price range already occupied by advanced vehicles such as the BD Seal and the Gilly Galaxy A8.
01:10This is a bold move given the intense competition in the domestic market.
01:14Visually, the compact sedan features a closed front design with a trapezoidal air intake,
01:22recessed door handles, striking LED headlights, and a continuous taillight strip.
01:28With a length of 4 m, a width of 1.86 m, a height of 1.5 m, and a wheelbase of 2.8 m,
01:37the J offers solid space.
01:40The drag coefficient is 0.23, which contributes to the vehicle's efficiency.
01:47Inside, passengers can expect a design inspired by business-class cabins,
01:52with a 2 m2 panoramic roof, sporty seats with integrated headrests,
01:57a two-spoke steering wheel with a gear selector located behind it,
02:01and an inductive charging station in the center console.
02:04The central component of the cockpit is a 15.6-inch touchscreen with Crystal OS,
02:11supported by Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon chip.
02:15According to the manufacturer, the interior space utilization is an impressive 78%.
02:19Technically, the Jho Air differs depending on the equipment.
02:26The entry-level variant has a permanent magnet-synchronous motor with 200 hp and 250 Nm of torque,
02:33which drives the rear wheels.
02:38This drive is powered by a 51.2 kWh battery,
02:42which achieves a range of up to 435 km according to the CTC.
02:48The sprint to 100 km per hour took 7.9 seconds.
02:53Charging is possible with up to 70 kW of direct current.
02:56The top version uses the same electric motor, but with a slightly increased power output of 204 hp.
03:04Here, a larger LFP battery with 64.1 kWh is used, which enables a maximum range of 530 km.
03:13In this version, the system allows direct current charging with up to 90 kW.
03:18Since the J-Wise price is high compared to the competition,
03:24the international market could prove crucial to the model's success.
03:29Initial discussions about local assembly of the vehicle in Kastan have already taken place.
03:36Export could therefore be the only realistic prospect for Juniao Automobile
03:40to assert itself in the global competition in the long term.
03:43As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine in the video description.
