00:07at the new electric sports coupe, the MG Cyber GTS, and its refreshed roadstar sister, the MG
00:14Cyberst, for model year 2026. Now under the umbrella of the Chinese S Group but still with
00:20British design input, the G is bringing an even sharper and more practical version with a fixed
00:26roof to the road just two years after the debut of the open-top Cyberstruck. Visually, the coupe adopts
00:35the lines of the much-acclaimed Cyber GTS concept from last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed almost
00:40unchanged. However, it swaps the show rims fitted there for more everyday suitable production wheels.
00:47The redesigned rear section is particularly striking. While the taut roof references the
00:53silhouette of a classic British sports car, the Alwar F-Type. Thanks to the omission of the folding
00:59roof mechanism, the coupe offers a 2 plus 2 layout inside, which means that in addition to the two
01:05sports seats in the front, there are two additional, albeit more emergency, seats in the back. This
01:10represents an improvement in everyday usability compared to the two-seater roadster. Chief designer
01:15Joseph Cabot revealed to Autocar that the extremely positive response to the concept car was the
01:21deciding factor for series production approval. Production is planned for October 2025, which could
01:29mark the 60th anniversary of the classic MG BGT. At the same time, the open-top MG Cybersteer is
01:37receiving its first facelift. Little will change to the body, including the characteristic upward opening
01:43doors. However, the color range has been expanded to include two new shades, Iris Green and Ames Grey.
01:49MG is also launching a Cybersteer Black Edition with special alloy wheels. Interior options include
01:57a choice of black-red or gray-white upholstery combinations, electrically adjustable lumbar
02:03supports for the driver and front passenger, a new wind deflector, and enhanced voice control.
02:09Technically, the Roadster benefits from a revised chassis and optimized battery life.
02:14Specific details on possible changes to the electric drive or the available energy storage systems are
02:21still pending. So far, customers can choose between a rear-wheel drive setup with 340 horsepower
02:28and an all-wheel drive version with 544 horsepower. The batteries have a capacity of 64 or 77 kWh,
02:37so solid ranges are in the offing, depending on the version. Identical power and battery options are
02:44expected for the coupe. However, MG will only reveal details shortly before the market launch.
02:50With the Cybersteer Roadster, Cyber GTS Coupe, and the already announced Cyber X Electric SUV,
02:57MG is consistently expanding its Cyber family and thus building a broad electric vehicle portfolio
