00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog on the topic of the revised Citroen Army
00:11facelift for the year 2025. As always, you can find the link to read the article in our magazine
00:17in the video description. Even with its first facelift, the Citroen Army remains the cheapest
00:24and easiest way to drive through the city on four wheels, protected from the weather.
00:30The electric microcar has been on the market since 2020. However, it was not officially
00:38launched in Germany until 2024. While its Stellantis brothers, the Fiat Topolino and Opel
00:44Rock, are also based on the same platform, the Army best fits Citroen's brand philosophy
00:48as a budget manufacturer. Its special feature is that it can be driven by young people aged
00:5615 and over with an AM driving license, as its top speed is limited to 45 km per hour.
01:05At the Paris Motor Show in 2024, Citroen presented a facelift of its mini-electric car.
01:13Technically, everything is likely to remain the same, as the manufacturer has not announced
01:18any changes to the drive system. The new model is therefore likely to continue to be powered by
01:24by an electric motor with six kilowatts or eight horsepower. The energy is supplied by a battery
01:30with a capacity of 5.5 kWh, which, according to the manufacturer, enables a range of up to 75 km.
01:39The vehicle can be charged in around four hours from a standard household socket.
01:43As expected, acceleration is leisurely. The Army reaches its maximum speed in 10 seconds.
01:51The biggest innovation concerns the appearance. The facelift brings a modernized front section
01:57with upwardly positioned headlights and the new Citroen logo. Overall, the front now looks clearer
02:04and simpler. The 14-inch wheels have also been given a new design with playful square elements.
02:12One clever special feature has been retained. The doors are perfectly symmetrical and therefore
02:17open differently. Conventional on the passenger side and against the direction of travel on the
02:22driver's side. This design allows Citroen to produce only one type of door, which reduces production
02:29costs. Despite its minimal dimensions of 2.41 meters in length, a width of 1.39 meters without exterior
02:39mirrors and a height of 1.52 meters, the Army offers space for two people. The turning circle is only 7.20
02:48meters, which makes it extremely maneuverable. The unladen weight is 483 kilograms, while the maximum
02:56payload is 217 kilograms. The interior is also functional. The windows can still only be folded
03:04manually. The seats can only be adjusted lengthwise on the driver's side and are made of hard plastic
03:09instead of leather. Instead of a central screen, there is a smartphone holder. A possible cargo version
03:18with more storage space instead of the passenger seat has not yet been confirmed.
03:22The pre-facelift model is currently offered for €7,990 or for €49 per month on lease.
03:33It can be assumed that the prices will not change significantly with the facelift.
03:38Sales will continue to be exclusively online.
