00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:09Today, we're all about the new Isuzu D-Max NX with MILK Hybrid Diesel.
00:15Isuzu has opted for a more efficient drive solution for these models, similar to Toyota with the Helix.
00:21Although a fully electric D-Max is planned for 2025, the manufacturer is already offering an exciting electrified alternative.
00:31The new MILK Hybrid Diesel, which was introduced in Thailand, is based on a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with the internal code RZ4F.
00:41This engine delivers 163 horsepower and an impressive 400 Nm of torque.
00:46Thanks to improved combustion and a variable turbocharger, the engine also runs quieter and more efficiently.
00:54Although Isuzu has not provided any precise details about the electric motor and the battery of the 48-volt system, the performance and fuel consumption improvements are noticeable.
01:05The drive offers 56% more torque when starting and a 10% increase in fuel efficiency compared to the basic version without electrification.
01:16The new power unit is exclusively equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which features a torque converter and additionally supports the increased power and improved fuel consumption.
01:29This places the 2.2L MILD Hybrid exactly between the existing engines of the DMAX and MU.
01:34The 1.9L diesel with 150 horsepower forms the base, while the 3.0L diesel with 190 horsepower is the top model.
01:45Depending on the variant, these engines are combined with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
01:49Prices in Thailand for the mild hybrid DMAX start at the equivalent of around âŹ60,200 to âŹ25,400, depending on the equipment and body variant.
02:02The MU, the SUV Pindown, starts at around âŹ32,600.
02:06Both models will go on sale there from November 28.
02:12Isuzu has not yet specified whether and when the electrified versions will also be available in other markets.
02:19However, a gradual introduction is to be expected.
02:23The new mild hybrid diesel is part of Isuzu's long-term strategy, which envisages a multi-pathway approach by 2030.
02:31In addition to new technologies for internal combustion engines, the manufacturer also plans to introduce battery-electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles.
02:41The all-electric DMAX will be the first series-produced vehicle of its kind from ISUSU and marks another important step into the future.
