00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog about the Suzuki Evatara.
00:14The Evatara marks Suzuki's first major step into the world of electromobility and will be released as a production model of the EVX concept, which was originally unveiled at the Auto Expo in India in early 2023.
00:26Production of the compact electric SUV will begin in Spring 2025 at the Maruti Suzuki plant in India and it will be available in Europe from Summer 2025.
00:36If you need information about a different vehicle, simply send us an email or WhatsApp with the exact vehicle details or leave a comment below this video.
00:43The Suzuki Ara will be launched on the market with a length of 4.28 meters, a width of 1.80 meters and a height of 1.640 meters.
00:57These dimensions position it between the previous Suzuki models Vitara and SX4 Scross.
01:05The wheelbase is 2.7 meters and the ground clearance is 18 centimeters.
01:11These compact dimensions give it a robust, modern design that largely retains the lines of the EVX concept.
01:18The typical SUV look is retained with the high bonnet, the striking edges and the wide body panels.
01:28The newly designed LED headlights, which are now arranged as a uniform light strip, conventional exterior mirrors and the flush fitted side windows are striking.
01:37The rear door handles have been discreetly integrated into the window trim and the tail light strip has a classic design.
01:44In the interior, Suzuki has opted for a clear structure.
01:49A large display that extends beyond the center console provides all information at a glance.
01:55There are also four vertical air vents and a multifunction steering wheel with two flattened sides, which offers the driver additional control and comfort.
02:04The Suzuki Vitara uses Suzuki's Algrip E-Technology for its drive.
02:11A specially developed all-wheel drive system, which in the electric version is implemented with electric motors on the front and rear axles.
02:19The system enables precise torque distribution through torque vectoring, which ensures stable grip, especially in curves and on challenging terrain.
02:27The base model of the Evitara is offered as a front wheel drive vehicle with an electric motor that delivers an output of 106 kilowatts and a torque of 189 newton meters.
02:42The battery, an LFP battery with a capacity of 49 kilowatts, is housed in the vehicle floor and is said to provide a good range.
02:48Alternatively, a larger battery with a capacity of 61 kilowatts can be selected, which increases the output to 128 kilowatts while maintaining the same torque.
03:02For the all-wheel drive variant, an additional 48 kilowatts electric motor is installed on the rear axle, increasing the total output to 135 kilowatts and the torque to 300 newton meters.
03:15A range of up to 500 kilometers is promised with the larger battery.
03:22The platform on which the Evitara is based is called Suzuki Heart Tech E.
03:28This electric architecture was developed in collaboration with Toyota and Daihatsu and is said to impress with its extremely lightweight construction.
03:35It forms the basis for a range of future electric vehicles and takes Suzuki's partnership with Toyota and Daisu to a new level.
03:42At the same time, the Evitara will be offered as a model under the Toyota label.
03:49This vehicle, which was originally shown as the Toyota Urban SUV concept, is also produced in India and uses the same platform.
03:58The interior of the Evitara also remains modern and high quality.
04:02The rear seat, which offers space for three people, can be folded down in proportion, and a two-part panoramic roof stretches over the passengers, creating an open feeling of space.
04:17Let's provide the appropriate ambient lighting and create a modern atmosphere in the interior.
04:21The center console separates the driver and front passenger seats and houses the rotary control for the drive control.
04:28With this vehicle, Suzuki is taking the next step towards electromobility and is positioning itself on a shared platform with Toyota and Daisu.
