00:00Kevin and I were talking about the trade deadline upcoming.
00:03We were talking about big names and Brian Thomas Jr. potentially being circulated.
00:09What are you hearing in regards to that situation and some of the other big names out there?
00:15Yeah, I never put percentages on anything, but I'd be stunned if Brian Thomas was traded.
00:19I understand he was drafted by another regime, but understand that Travis Sonner, Joe, is a part-time wide receiver.
00:26As I've told people from the moment he was drafted, there's zero chance long-term that they'll continue to do this in terms of him playing offensive defense.
00:34They're going to have to pick a position with him.
00:36Brian Thomas, he was unbelievable talking to the Jaguars about him last season.
00:40He was so far ahead of schedule where they thought he'd be super smart.
00:43He had a wrist injury, by the way.
00:45We need to mention that, Joe, earlier this season.
00:47Yeah, he hasn't played nearly as well as he did last season, but if they want to have a chance at the playoffs, he's got to be on the roster.
00:52Now, as I've always said, you never say never.
00:56Some team says, hey, listen, and this team is going to be probably going to have a top-ten pick.
01:00That changes it.
01:02I understand he was not drafted, Brian Thomas, by this regime, but they have nobody else to replace him.
01:07You have to understand that.
01:09Cap, how about some names that we could see move?
01:12The Jets certainly seem to be, at 0-7, a team that many will be calling.
01:18Yeah, Brees Hall is the guy.
01:20He's on the final year's rookie deal, drafted by another regime, by Joe Douglas.
01:24They've shown no interest in extending this contract.
01:26That's been pretty obvious here.
01:28And, yeah, he's a guy that would fit in with a team that needs at least a guy for this season,
01:34a.k.a. the Chargers, with a Marion Hampton's injury, with Najee Harris' injury.
01:38The Chargers don't need anyone long-term in a trade.
01:40They need someone who will fill the bill right now.
01:43They're getting away with it.
01:44Kamani Vidal's been a nice story, but they need a bell cow running back right now for Greg Roman's running game.
01:49That's a team you've got to match up there.
01:52Yeah, you're going to look at Jermaine Johnson also as a guy to look at.
01:55Again, drafted by Joe Douglas.
01:57You've got to look at that situation.
01:59What we always do, as you mentioned, I heard on the earlier segment here, for the Dolphins.
02:02You look at the teams, like the Dolphins have Bradley Chubb.
02:06Bradley Chubb is a guy that a lot of teams have interest in.
02:08He's a high-character player, very productive.
02:11He's had a lot of injuries.
02:12He got his contract reduced.
02:14He's got a very tradable contract.
02:15You'd have to get through the next couple years.
02:18But for this season, it's very tradable.
02:20And he's a guy that could absolutely help a team, guys, who are trying to get into the playoffs and then go farther.
02:25Coach, Cap, sorry, I was reading about the coach.
02:29Two popped up on the injury report today for the Dolphins.
02:35What is that situation?
02:37And big picture for McDaniel.
02:38I know we got the vote of confidence potentially from the organization, but if they lose to Atlanta today, what is going to play out in Miami the rest of the way?
02:49Yeah, Steve Ross gave the public vote of confidence.
02:51That, to me, it always means it's for the rest of the season.
02:55It doesn't mean he'll be back next year.
02:57We know with what happened with Brian Callahan, there was a semi-vote of confidence given, and then he was fired.
03:03That was what one source called a mercy firing, where it was so obvious it had to be done, it was done.
03:08Look, they're an absolute mess.
03:09They lose, Joe, you know, as a Dolphins fan.
03:11They lost Tyree Kill for the season.
03:13That derailed their offense.
03:14Their defense, and I agree with what you guys were saying earlier.
03:17Now, yes, it's been disappointing, but they've had problems in their secondary due to cornerback issues with injury.
03:23They're decimated by injury.
03:25They're a bad football team.
03:26Now, Tua's got an illness.
03:27They expect him to get through the game today.
03:30By the way, you look at that game, and why is the number dropped a little bit?
03:35Well, let's not forget Drake London in the hip.
03:36He's out.
03:37That's a big injury for Atlanta.
