00:00All right, so let's start with arguably the most exciting player in all of college football
00:03last season, his name, Travis Hunter.
00:06Played on offense, played on defense.
00:07The Jaguars loved him so much, they invested draft picks to move up and get Travis Hunter.
00:12And I think that that's the kind of player, Adam, in reality, that the Jacksonville Jaguars
00:19needed, right?
00:20Like, they need that excitement there.
00:21They've always tried to do these little flashy things in the past to excite the fan and get
00:26them to go.
00:27But there's a difference between fantasy and reality, isn't there?
00:30There is, and we'll get to that in a second.
00:32But you just said something in passing, which made me kind of laugh.
00:35So you talked about how they needed excitement.
00:37Do you remember Matt Jones, the former Arkansas quarterback?
00:40Of course.
00:40Who went up being over-drafted in the first round, Craig.
00:45So what happened at that Senior Bowl, and I was there, he ran right by me.
00:48He had unbelievable straight line speed.
00:50Now, he unfortunately had some off-the-field problems, but they overdrafted speed where
00:55the guy wasn't all that skilled, and he just never made it.
00:58Now, the one thing, Craig, though, when you talk to football clubs, they can't worry about
01:04what the outside world things, media, fans, and all that.
01:07It's about what's the best thing to do for the football team.
01:10Travis Hunter is one of the best two-weight players in college football history.
01:14Just absolutely phenomenal and exciting.
01:17And my sense is they're totally convinced that, at least for this season, it'll work as a
01:24corner-slash-receiver.
01:25And we'll see what the percentage breakdown is in 60-40, 50-50.
01:29But the word around the league is it's not sustainable.
01:32It's just not.
01:33Physically, you know, this is not Otani who pitches every fifth day, right?
01:38And obviously bats every day, and it's phenomenal.
01:40This is the wear and tear in your body.
01:42And I know that Hunter's very smart.
01:44He's an academic All-American.
01:46That's not the point.
01:47The point is, Craig, from a physical standpoint, he's never going to hold up long-term doing it.
01:52It's fun for this season.
01:53Let's all get excited.
01:55I hope the Jaguars fans, they've been through enough.
01:57They've had a lot of winning in recent years after that craziness of 2017 where they came
02:01out of nowhere and almost made the Super Bowl.
02:03But in recent years, they've been terrible.
02:05But they get an exciting player.
02:07But, folks, it's about the long-term.
02:08And then you talk about – I know you were talking about fantasy football.
02:12Dynasty drafts, as we know, are the big thing.
02:14If you play fantasy, that's where you keep most, if not all, your players.
02:17I had my annual draft this year, Craig, about a week ago.
02:22And guess what?
02:23I passed on Hunter at number four.
02:25I took Travion Henderson, who we'll talk about in a minute.
02:28Because in keeper leagues where you keep a couple players, five, six, or seven, or dynasty
02:32leagues where you keep playing from year to year, Hunter could be a long-term cornerback.
02:37So, what value would you have unless you're playing in individual player leagues where
02:41you're defensive players?
02:42But guess what?
02:43It's about tackles.
02:44Cornerbacks don't tackle a lot.
02:46Yeah.
02:47I mean, you mentioned Matt Jones.
02:48I mean, Adam, they hired Urban Meyer to be the head coach there.
02:52So, like, they were always trying these wild – to gain – I mean, I know what you're
02:58saying about not caring what the outside interest is.
03:00To me, that's what it seems like a lot of times is happening with the Jaguars.
03:04But –
