00:00But, Joe, NFL players, much like professional athletes, they're fine-tuned athletes here.
00:05You can't be eating a ton of pizzas and all that stuff.
00:08And I know you're young and your metabolism is high.
00:10But let's head down to Tennessee here, Joe, and see what Robert Sala is doing inside the building.
00:16Yeah, no, 100%.
00:19You know, I thought one of the first things I think we did here is get rid of all the
00:23seed oils in the building,
00:25which I think the players appreciate.
00:26I know Ms. Amy has allowed us to attack the budget and get the players a better variety.
00:34I think I'll put our staff.
00:36And, I mean, I've been in six different buildings, and I put the staff up there with the best of
00:42them.
00:42I mean, the product they put out in the cafeteria daily is outstanding.
00:48By the way, let me start with this, too, Joe, like seed oils.
00:50If you don't know what they are, cooking oils extracted from seeds of plants commonly included.
00:54Soybean, canola, sunflower, corn, and safflower.
00:58But also understand this.
00:59So many people, like food is so expensive right now.
01:02And the crazy part about it is you would figure, like, well, the healthy food should be the cheapest food,
01:07and the expensive food should be the fatty foods.
01:09Like, no, it's completely opposite here.
01:10The cheaper the food, the worse it is for you at this point.
01:13Imagine, Joe, if you had a chef and you had unlimited resources that can make you whatever you want.
01:18Like, everybody would be fit and healthy with tremendous meals that are being prepared.
01:22That's the one luxury you get, Joe, outside of, I guess, the Arizona Cardinals.
01:25You walk into that building in the training table, three meals a day, chef-quality food, completely healthy.
01:31That's awesome stuff.
01:32But now he's taking it to the extreme.
01:34Like, I don't want to see fried chicken here, which a lot of places have.
01:37Like, hey, free food Friday here.
01:38You got pizzas.
01:39You got cheesesteaks.
01:40You got chicken in here.
01:41He's throwing it all out.
01:42He wants the boys to eat clean, Joe.
01:45Listen, I bet, you know, you get paid to be a professional athlete, right?
01:49Yes.
01:49So it's all fuel for the engine and for the body, Donnie.
01:53You might as well.
01:54You can't be pumping in diesel in a car that's supposed to take 94, right?
01:59So let's go ahead and make sure that you're feeding these guys.
02:04You're paying them multi-millions of dollars.
02:07Let's make sure you're feeding them correctly.
02:09I mean, that makes way too much sense, Donnie.
02:11Way too much.
02:13Like, even up to the 80s, like, quarterback smoking a couple darts before practice, maybe
02:17grabbing one mid-practice.
02:18Hey, give me that Coke bottle so I can drink out of it here to sort of quench my thirst.
02:22Boy, we've come a long way on the training table, specifically in the NFL.
02:26And you think it stops there.
02:27You ever go to an SEC training table at this point now?
02:29Same thing, man.
02:30Chefs across the board eating healthy.
02:32And how about this?
02:32Cam Ward, out of Miami, comes to the NFL and goes, you know what?
02:36It's time to get in shape.
02:37Let's hear from Cam dropping some weight.
02:39You look slimmer.
02:40Are you in a different kind of shape than you were this time last year?
02:44I am.
02:44I'm trying to.
02:45Trying to get a little bit leaner than just trying to stay, you know, durable for a long
02:49season.
02:49What are you doing different?
02:51So what?
02:51What are you doing different?
02:52I just continue to watch my diet more, continue to have more cardio, continue to just work
02:57on my body, just, you know, here and then when I'm away from the building.
03:00What are some of the particular dietary changes that you've made, like cut off the fried foods,
03:06snacks?
03:07What are you doing?
03:09It's really just watching the calorie limit, then watching the amount of protein and carbs
03:14that I need to put in, then what's best for, you know, my body, how I feel, you know,
03:18eating different things when I come to practice.
03:20Fine tuning those engines, Joe.
03:22We're going to have a good season for Tennessee.
03:24No seed oils, quarterbacks in shape, and away we go with Tennessee.
03:28I almost didn't recognize him, Donnie, if we're being honest there.
03:31He looks, yeah, he looks slimmer, looks better, and hey, listen, you know, that's what you
03:37want to see from your number one draft pick, right?
03:40Your future, take it seriously, get into shape, and that's exactly what he's doing.
03:46So you got to love that.
03:47I love that look, and I love that whole press conference there saying, listen, I'm taking
03:53it seriously, and he is.
