00:56Champagne flight attendant. Like a champagne and a half. The flight
01:05attendant who cops say barged his way on board after drinking champagne. Dude, I'm a flight
01:11attendant. Then, disgraced cop on trial. Accused of shooting a troubled mom holding a pot
01:18of boiling water. Was it self-defense or murder? And, defending the demolition. I believe there's a lot of fake outrage. Now the construction workers are under siege. The East Wing, as we knew it, is gone. Plus, he's running for the U.S. Senate.
01:39Like a rainbow. But, look at that tattoo. Is that a Nazi symbol? We got very inebriated. We decided to go get a tattoo. Then, identical twins switcheroo. She smashed into a horse-drawn buggy mowing down four little kids. How the twins traded places and lied about it. There's no way they would never know the difference between the two of us. Plus, the little guy is choking to death. Can police save the baby wearing a
02:09police onesie. And, scare for Keanu Reeves. Now, Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim. Hello, and thanks for joining us. He apparently drank too much champagne. That's the explanation from a flight attendant who had to be restrained after he allegedly tried to barge past gate agents. Things got so heated, he ended up in cuffs and an anti-spit mask. Steven Fabian has the details.
02:39Chaos at the airport. As cops bust a guy they say tried to board an airplane drunk. We're going to need leg restraints. But, this is no rowdy passenger. Dude, I'm a flight attendant. The drama happened at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport when an American Airlines flight attendant allegedly barged his way past the gate agent. Police body cam captures the drama.
03:02How much have you had your drink? Like, probably, like, when I was going through, probably, like, uh, like, uh, champagne and a half.
03:10The flight attendant says he was deadheading. Airline lingo for an employee flying as a passenger.
03:16What do you mean? You're drunk, dude. You're trying to get on a plane in an American Airlines uniform.
03:20After cops cuffed him on suspicion of public intoxication, it really gets ugly.
03:28Cops say the flight attendant spat in an officer's eye. An anti-spit mask is retrieved, and it's forced on the wayward flight attendant. At this point, he realizes he's in a jail.
03:39I'm sorry. I just don't want to be a part of this anymore.
03:42Cops put him in a wheelchair and take him out to a police cruiser, but the drama's not over yet.
03:48The officer taking him to be processed has to pull over when this happens.
03:56He's kicking the door.
03:58Quit kicking the door.
04:00I don't blow chairs, please.
04:02To me, the most shocking thing is that somebody who works for an airline would think that it's okay to get on a plane in that kind of a condition.
04:10The incident happened last year, but the video has just been obtained by the YouTube channel Police on Scene.
04:17We reached out to American Airlines for comment, but did not hear back.
04:21The video shocked America.
04:24A mother of two is boiling water on her stove when cops show up responding to a 911 call.
04:29One of the officers opened fire, killing her, and now he's charged with first-degree murder.
04:35As Megan Alexander reports, it's day one of his trial.
04:38I'm trying to get help, y'all.
04:42What do you need help with?
04:43It started out as a routine 911 call.
04:45A woman calling about a prowler outside her house.
04:49Minutes later, the woman was shot to death after she picked up a pot of boiling water from her stove.
04:55Okay, I'm sorry.
04:55Drop the f***ing pot!
04:57Drop the f***ing pot!
04:58Drop the f***ing pot!
04:59Drop the f***ing pot!
04:59Now, the deputy sheriff who opened fire, Sean Grayson, is on trial for murder.
05:05He's claiming self-defense.
05:06What else do we do?
05:07I'm not taking hot boiling water to f***ing face.
05:11His defense attorney called it a tragedy, but not a crime.
05:15This case really touched not only the community that it happened in, but it touched a lot of people from around Illinois and even the nation.
05:22So, a very high-profile case and a lot of eyes are on it.
05:26Grayson, seen here being processed after his arrest, was a so-called wandering cop.
05:31A wandering cop is a police officer who is allowed to go from one job to another in law enforcement despite a record of misconduct.
05:40The jury was told that in the last four years, Grayson held six different positions in various local police and sheriff's departments in the state of Illinois.
05:48This is shocking audio of Grayson being chewed out by one of his former supervisors two years before he shot Sonia Massey to death.
05:56Seven months on, how are you still employed by us?
06:00I don't know.
06:01Others will say you have no integrity and you're lying.
06:05If we can't trust what you say and what you see, we can't have you in our uniform.
06:11The shooting has triggered an outpouring of raw emotion.
06:15Protesters gathered outside the court in Peoria, Illinois.
06:18No justice, no peace!
06:21Because of all the attention on this case, the trial had to be moved to Peoria, 72 miles away from where the shooting happened.
06:28Grayson has pleaded not guilty.
06:31The White House on defense today over President Trump's decision to tear down the East Wing to make room for a 90,000-square-foot ballroom.
06:40But the backlash is also being felt by the construction team doing the job.
06:46Allison Hall explains.
06:48There's more outrage today as the full scale of the East Wing demolition is revealed.
06:53Most of the building appears to have been ripped away.
06:56The East Wing, as we knew it, is gone.
07:00The construction company carrying out the demolition, Ace Co., is also facing backlash.
07:05Their Google listing is being flooded with negative one-star reviews.
07:09And today, White House historians are appealing to President Trump to stop.
07:14We are deeply concerned that the height of the proposed new construction will overwhelm the White House
07:19and may also permanently disrupt the carefully balanced classical design of the White House with its two smaller and lower wings,
07:27declares the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
07:30The White House is 55,000 square feet and the new ballroom is almost twice that size.
07:36This animation shows how the new structure will dwarf the White House.
07:40When you go to the White House, your attention is immediately going to be drawn and distracted away from the White House to this gigantic new ballroom.
07:50It's going to totally overshadow everything.
07:53The Trump administration is brushing off concerns.
07:56I believe there's a lot of fake outrage right now because nearly every single president
08:01who has lived in this beautiful White House behind me has made modernizations and renovations of their own.
08:08Meanwhile, the late-night comics are having a field day.
08:12That is deeply...
08:13That is so deeply unsettling.
08:17That is it.
08:18We are not giving him the security deposit back.
08:21During the renovations, historic artifacts from the East Wing are being preserved and stored
08:28under the supervision of the White House Historical Association and the National Park Service.
08:34Now to a politician running for a Senate seat caught on video getting wild at a wedding.
08:39He ended up taking his shirt off, which revealed a chest tattoo that's raising lots of eyebrows because it resembles a Nazi symbol.
08:49Now, he says, he's covering that tattoo up.
08:52A man strips down at his brother's wedding reception.
08:56Wearing only his underwear, he rocks out to the Miley Cyrus hit Wrecking Ball.
09:01But take a closer look.
09:05That's a tattoo on his chest.
09:06A skull and crossbones that sure looks like the notorious Nazi symbol.
09:11And that's not just any wedding guest having a good time.
09:14His name is Graham Plattner, and he's running for the U.S. Senate from the state of Maine.
09:19Plattner, a former Marine, is a Democrat challenging Republican Susan Collins,
09:23who has held the Senate seat for almost 30 years.
09:27Now, Plattner is speaking out.
09:28I am not a secret Nazi.
09:31The 41-year-old oyster farmer says he got the tattoo in 2007 in Croatia and didn't realize it had a Nazi connection.
09:39We got very inebriated, and we did what Marines on Liberty do, and we decided to go get a tattoo.
09:45We chose a terrifying-looking skull and crossbones off the wall because we were Marines,
09:52and, you know, skulls and crossbones are a pretty standard military thing.
09:56Today, Plattner says the disturbing symbol is now all covered up with a new tattoo.
10:04It's a heartbreaking tragedy.
10:06Two children killed by a drugged-up driver, and in an attempt to hide what she was high,
10:12the woman behind the wheel called her twin sister and told her to come to the scene so they could switch places.
10:19Ann McCagliano has the details.
10:20These identical twins are trying to pull a fast one.
10:25Samantha Peterson crashed into a horse-drawn buggy where the local Amish community shuns motor vehicles and modern technology.
10:33The accident left two children dead and injured two others.
10:38Are they injured?
10:39Are they tough?
10:40Oh, yeah.
10:40There's one lane in the road even.
10:42There's one over the business.
10:44Instead of owning up to what she had done, Samantha called her twin sister, Sarah, to rush to the scene of the accident.
10:51What happened next is something you only see in the movies.
10:54Samantha asked her twin to switch places with her and falsely tell police that she was the one behind the wheel when the tragedy occurred.
11:03Why the switch?
11:04Because 37-year-old Samantha Peterson was high on meth.
11:08They might have gotten away with it, except for this.
11:11The twins were placed in the backseat of a cop car.
11:15An audio captured them cooking up the plot to deceive detectives.
11:20There's no way they would ever know the difference between the two of us.
11:23Law enforcement had left the recording device on so that we were able to overhear them talking about how they were exchanging identities.
11:31At the scene, one of them had changed clothes so they would have very similar clothes.
11:37Samantha also texted a co-worker right after the crash.
11:40I just killed two Amish people.
11:43They were kids.
11:44I made Sarah come there and take the fall for it so I wouldn't go to prison.
11:48And she Googled, if you hit a buggy and killed two people, are you going to prison?
11:53Samantha has just pled guilty to criminal vehicular homicide.
11:57A judge in Fillmore County, Minnesota, sentenced her to four years in prison.
12:01Her sister didn't get away with it either.
12:03She got three months for aiding and abetting.
12:06Now, a scare for actor Keanu Reeves.
12:10The star is in New York starring in a Broadway show.
12:13When he left the theater, a woman rushed his car trying to get in.
12:20Keanu Reeves is heading to his SUV after a performance of his hit Broadway play.
12:24Then, seconds after the car door closes, this happens.
12:30An out-of-control fan tries to open the door.
12:33Security personnel jump in.
12:35The frenzied fan is out of control.
12:38Keanu!
12:39It's here to buy my wife!
12:41Keanu!
12:42Keanu!
12:42You've got to relax, man.
12:43As the SUV pulls away, the unhinged woman breaks free and makes a mad dash to Keanu.
12:49She's quickly crapped by security.
12:51Get her out of there.
12:52Get her out of there.
12:54And recognize this passenger riding the New York City subway?
12:58It's Tom Hanks in a green beanie hat and face mask as he zips through the Big Apple underground.
13:04Safe travels, Tom.
13:05Save our baby.
13:09That was the desperate call for help from parents whose 10-month-old baby boy started choking in his crib.
13:15Now two NYPD officers are being called heroes.
13:19It's a race against time.
13:21A baby's life is at stake.
13:23Two NYPD cops are giving emergency CPR, repeatedly tapping the baby on his back.
13:29His body is lifeless.
13:32Then, a miracle.
13:34He's good, he's good.
13:36The cries of little Makai means his airways are clear.
13:40His parents are overjoyed today as they tell me what happened.
13:45He was choking.
13:46He had phlegm and he couldn't get it out.
13:48They are praising the two officers.
13:51Within seconds, you heard my son cry again and laugh and he was back to normal.
13:55Look at this charming moment.
13:57One of the cops is massaging the baby, calming him down after the traumatic drama.
14:02It's not lost on anyone that little Makai was wearing a onesie with police written on it.
14:08I didn't realize it until I looked at the video game where I was like, oh my God, he was wearing a police officer outfit.
14:14Did the police notice it?
14:16They did.
14:16They fell in love with him because of that.
14:18Maybe he'll grow up to become one of New York's finest.
14:21So glad he's okay.
14:24And we'll be back with much more Inside Edition after this.
14:27Next, Swept Away.
14:30There's a dad and his son in that car.
14:33He survived, but his son didn't make it.
14:36So why is the dad facing criminal charges?
14:39Then, how wicked.

14:54A grandma with vision loss from wet AMD.
14:57Riding across the desert.
14:58It started when Babismo opened up my world.
15:02I was worried I was losing sight of the world around me.
15:05But my doctor recommended Babismo.
15:08Babismo is different.
15:09It's the only treatment thought to block two causes of wet AMD.
15:12I was so excited when my granddaughter asked me to ride across the desert with her.
15:18Knowing that Babismo improves vision.
15:21And delivers a chance for up to four months between treatments.
15:27Babismo is an eye injection.
15:28Don't take it if you have an infection, active eye swelling, or are allergic to it.
15:32Babismo could cause eye infection, retinal detachment, temporary increase in eye pressure,
15:36an uncommon risk of heart attack or stroke, or severe swelling of blood vessels in the eye.
15:39Report changes to vision or eye pain to your doctor or retina specialist right away.
15:43Now I've got my sights set on the road ahead.

16:46WTAJ, your news leader, is proud to support the Blair County Food Drive.
16:50The news was devastating.
16:55A father finds out his two-year-old son died after they were separated trying to escape a raging flood.
17:01Now, a shocking twist.
17:03As Jim Array tells us, the father is now facing multiple criminal charges.
17:07Disaster unfolds as a dad and his son are caught up in floodwaters and swept away.
17:14They're trapped inside as their vehicle slips down an embankment.
17:18Cops say dad and son managed to escape but then became separated in the rushing water.
17:24Police rescued the dad, but after a 20-hour search, two-year-old Xavier was found dead.
17:29I'm going to keep searching this area. This is where the water stopped flowing.
17:33A volunteer searching for the boy found his Spider-Man backpack amid the muddy debris.
17:38Now, a stunning and unexpected turn in this tragedy.
17:41Police say due to the severity of this case, they've arrested the father.
17:46Police handcuffed Brandon Padilla Aguilera at his home in Barstow, California.
17:51The charge? Vehicular manslaughter and child abuse endangerment.
17:55He pled not guilty.
17:57Every rainy season, we see cars that are swept away.
18:00This college student says in total darkness, she unwittingly drove into a flood zone near St. Louis.
18:07Luckily, she was able to cling to a tree until she was rescued.
18:11I spoke to AAA's Doug Shoup.
18:12The father was there with his two-year-old.
18:14They both got out. They got separated.
18:17It's very easy to get separated in rushing water.
18:19We hear about this frequently.
18:21When someone tries to get out of rushing water, thinking that they can, you know, hold on to their loved ones, that water is moving very fast.
18:31It's going to knock you into other items.
18:33You don't want to put yourself in that position in the first place.
18:37AAA also warns that while rushing water is far more dangerous, just six inches of standing water can cause your vehicle to stall and lose control.
18:46Still to come, how wicked.
18:51Dancing with the star's favorite, Robert Irwin, doing the worm.
