00:55Madonna with a pirate ship on her head.
00:59And her seven maidens, Kylie Jenner.
01:02But where's boyfriend, Timothee Chalamet?
01:05He was at the Knicks game.
01:07Timothee Chalamet here instead of the Met Gala.
01:09Cardi B in a bathrobe.
01:12Heidi Klum being transformed into a statue.
01:16And car versus boy.
01:19This lady's crazy.
01:21Was she trying to mow him down on the sidewalk?
01:24Oh my God!
01:26I was scared for my son's life.
01:28Then saved from a burning car by the governor and her security team.
01:33It's about to blow up.
01:35He's a famous comedian.
01:37How are you doing right now?
01:38Plus, the Uber driver accused of triggering the fire
01:42that burned down all these multi-million dollar mansions.
01:45Was he another Luigi Mangione wannabe?
01:48And hey there, lonely guy.
01:51He's selling gas for $7.49 a gallon.
01:54A mile and a half away, gas is going for just $4.19.
01:59What is going on here?
02:01Then, was she groped?
02:03The tourist who claimed she was pawed by her scuba diving instructor.
02:08He started touching me all over.
02:10Now, Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim.
02:14Hello and thanks for joining us.
02:16What a night.
02:17The Met Gala is known for delivering the hottest stars in the wildest fashions.
02:22And last night did not disappoint.
02:24All eyes were on actress Blake Lively, who got all glammed up just hours after the bombshell announcement
02:29she'd settled her sexual harassment lawsuit.
02:33We've got much more on that, including Beyoncé's big return.
02:38Queen Bee is back.
02:40Beyoncé hit the carpet at the Met Gala after a 10-year absence.
02:45She wore a stunning silver skeleton dress, accessorized with matching gloves.
02:50And if that wasn't enough drama, she was wrapped in feathers.
02:54And look at that train.
02:55It took an army of handlers to carry it up the stairs.
02:59There was a mother-daughter moment as her 14-year-old daughter Blue Ivy made her debut at the party
03:05of the year.
03:06She looks so beautiful.
03:07It's incredible to be able to share it with her.
03:10Madonna, with a pirate ship on her head, needed help carrying her train.
03:15She brought seven attendants.
03:18Blake Lively needed a hand too, turning to the party staff, asking,
03:22Do you guys want to help?
03:23The actress showing up was a total surprise,
03:26considering earlier in the day it was announced that she had reached a settlement in her legal battle with Justin
03:31Baldoni.
03:32I hope you have the best time tonight.
03:34Thank you so much. You too.
03:35Kim Kardashian navigated the stairs in a body plate and not much else.
03:40Sabrina!
03:41Sabrina Carpenter wore a halter dress made of film strips of the classic Audrey Hepburn movie, Sabrina.
03:48It's amazing. It's just from the movie Sabrina, which is one of my favorite films of all time.
03:52As actress Naomi Watts strode up the stairs, behind her a sudden disruption as police say a protester tried to
04:00break through the barricade.
04:02It's a ball game.
04:04You can see Naomi looking over her shoulder.
04:07And here's what you didn't see.
04:09Cardi!
04:10Cardi B leaving her hotel on her way to the Met Gala with umbrellas shielding her from photographers.
04:17Cardi, we love you!
04:19Our cameras capture the rapper wearing a robe, her hair in pin curls.
04:24Cardi!
04:25When she got to the red carpet, the mom of four looked like a flower in a sheer lace dress.
04:31Turns out she's been under the weather.
04:34You want to know a secret? I'm actually sick and I have a fever.
04:36Cardi!
04:38Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn practiced her Met Gala walk in the hallway of her hotel.
04:43She wanted to stand strong for her first red carpet appearance since that terrifying crash during the Winter Olympics.
04:49Oh my goodness, snow!
04:51Easy to the right!
04:53When she was red carpet ready, she still needed the assistance of her bejeweled cane.
04:57But she was able to pose on her own two feet.
05:00Kylie Jenner had bleached blonde eyebrows after the gala.
05:04She tried to dye her eyebrows black, but it didn't work.
05:07My brows are ruined.
05:09So where was boyfriend Timothee Chalamet?
05:11Timothee Chalamet here instead of the Met Gala.
05:13He was at the New York Knicks basketball game.
05:18This year's gala raised a record $42 million for the Mets Costume Institute.
05:24What was she thinking?
05:25A woman who police say admitted to drinking and driving tries to mow down a kid on a dirt bike.
05:31When he tried to escape on the sidewalk, she was right behind him.
05:35Les Trent spoke with the boy's mom, who is still shaking.
05:40This lady's crazy.
05:41It's a terrifying video.
05:43A youngster riding his dirt bike, apparently targeted by a driver.
05:48Oh! Oh my God!
05:50The woman behind the wheel seems determined to run him over.
05:54Oh my God!
05:56I was scared for my son's life.
05:58Jennifer Taylor is the boy's mom.
06:00She says 13-year-old Bryson was riding his dirt bike with friends in their suburban neighborhood outside Spokane, Washington,
06:07when a lady driving by lost it.
06:10She just spotted him and she was his next target and turned the wheel and came after him.
06:14There was no words exchanged. Nothing was done.
06:17Do you have any idea what her motivation might have been?
06:20The police said that she was intoxicated and that just prior to all of this,
06:26she had tried to break into a home and apparently after all of this,
06:31she went back to that home and broke in again and that's where they found her.
06:34According to the police report, she denied drinking alcohol or consuming any drugs,
06:39but then changed her story and admitted to drinking alcohol.
06:44While trying to put her in the back of a patrol car, she resisted and even tried to kick a
06:49deputy.
06:49The woman has been charged with criminal trespass, DUI, and assault.
06:54She lives in the neighborhood where today lots of people want her punished severely.
07:00Horrifying. She's clearly using her vehicle to attack a child, goes this social media comment.
07:06Unbelievable. She tried to assault a child with a vehicle, goes another.
07:11You saw that video?
07:12Yeah.
07:13It's frightening.
07:14Very frightening.
07:15She could have run him over. She could have killed him.
07:17Mm-hmm.
07:17Where do you think she should be right now?
07:19I think she should be in jail, off the streets, not able to hurt anyone else.
07:23Oh, my God!
07:26The woman told police she had no memory of chasing the boy on his dirt bike.
07:31It was her dream vacation, an American tourist on a scuba diving adventure,
07:35but her trip turned into a nightmare when she says her instructor groped her underwater.
07:41She spoke with Allison Hall, and we want to warn you, the video may be upsetting for younger viewers.
07:47She's taking a scuba diving lesson, but what is going on here?
07:51Is that instructor groping her?
07:53That's what this American tourist is alleging.
07:56She says he pawed at her butt and stroked her leg.
08:00Can you just describe what we're seeing in the video?
08:03He was just touching me all over.
08:05In the moment, you know, you don't realize I'm just trying to get out of it.
08:08And it's like groping, groping from every side.
08:11You couldn't really fight back in any way, it sounds like.
08:14Normally, like, if I was above water, it's a whole different story, you know?
08:18Like, I can fight back. I can speak. I can walk away. I have lots of options.
08:2331-year-old Rasha Median is a social media influencer from Los Angeles who shares her world travels and adventures
08:30like riding motorcycles.
08:32The scuba incident happened in the Red Sea in Egypt.
08:35You published this video, and I understand that he reached out to you?
08:38He sent me my own video and was like, who did this and why are they saying that I'm touching
08:43you?
08:45I didn't respond.
08:46We showed the video to scuba diving columnist Terri Ward.
08:49Oh, I really felt for her.
08:50She has several suggestions for women taking scuba lessons.
08:54You should always dive with a buddy. That's rule number one.
08:57I wonder if he would have dared to do it if she had.
09:00As women, we kind of know when something feels weird and she felt it.
09:04And looking at the video, I mean, I understand why.
09:07Despite what happened, Rasha says she will give scuba diving another try.
09:12Our expert also says to always check online reviews of a dive company before signing up.
09:18It's scary video of a crash at a highway toll booth, an electric car bursting into flames.
09:24It could have ended in disaster if not for the governor and her security detail who just happened to be
09:31nearby.
09:32Now the driver they saved speaking out for the first time to our Stephen Fabian.
09:38A fiery crash at a highway toll booth, and the governor of the state and her security detail just happened
09:45to be passing by.
09:46Governor Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, an estate trooper rescued the driver trapped inside the car.
09:52He crashed at the toll that's about to blow up.
09:54The governor grabbed a fire extinguisher from her car and went to work on the blaze,
09:59while the trooper and other brave passersby broke a window and pulled the driver through.
10:04I am really just so thankful, the truth is, to, you know, the New Hampshire governor and her team,
10:09and then to the bystanders and, you know, so thankful to be here.
10:13The trapped driver turned out to be 50-year-old comedian Eugene Merman.
10:18You may not know his face, but you may know his voice.
10:22I'm Gene, the boy with the golden voice.
10:24Merman plays the goofy kid Gene Belcher in the Bobs Burgers animated series
10:28that airs on Fox as a companion show to Family Guy.
10:32Today, he's speaking out for the first time about what happened.
10:35How are you doing right now?
10:37I cracked some ribs that are healing, and my wrist, which was broken, now has titanium.
10:44But I haven't looked at the images. I think that that would be probably very upsetting.
10:48And he has this message for the governor and the others who rescued him.
10:52Thank you. Thank you so, so much.
10:55On the day of the accident, Eugene was working on a comedy special called Here Comes the Whimsy.
11:00The shoot had to be rescheduled, but he did finish it. It starts streaming today on YouTube.
11:06It was one of the most destructive fires in California history.
11:10The Palisades blaze left a wealthy Los Angeles community in ashes.
11:15Now, we're learning the man accused of starting it was inspired by accused healthcare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione.
11:23Prosecutors say his online searches show he was fixated on the accused killer.
11:28It was a devastating fire, an inferno that laid waste to 5,000 homes in the ritzy Pacific Palisade section
11:35of Los Angeles.
11:37Now, prosecutors say the arson suspect accused of setting the blaze last year was inspired by Luigi Mangione,
11:44who faces trial for the slaying of the United Healthcare CEO.
11:47Jonathan Rendernect was fixated on Mangione in the weeks leading up to the fires, according to new court documents.
11:54Prosecutors say he searched the internet for Mangione-related news, using search terms that included
12:00free Luigi Mangione and let's kill all the billionaires.
12:04Rendernect, who drove an Uber for a living, was described by passengers as ranting about Mangione.
12:09Rendernect is the latest suspect with an alleged obsession with Mangione.
12:13Authorities say the suspect in that huge paper towel warehouse blaze four weeks ago compared himself to Mangione.
12:19All you had to do was pay us enough to live.
12:21And the student, accused of throwing a Molotov cocktail at the home of billionaire tycoon Sam Altman,
12:27once allegedly said he wanted to Luigi some tech CEOs.
12:31The lawyer for the accused Pacific Palisade's fire starter tells Inside Edition,
12:35it is categorically ridiculous that the government wants to politicize my client's left-leaning ideologies into motive,
12:42and worse, use them as evidence.
12:45Luigi Mangione and all of the accused fire starters have pleaded not guilty.
12:51Gas prices are surging.
12:53The national average for a gallon could hit $5 by June.
12:57No one's feeling it more than this guy.
13:00Is this the loneliest gas station in the USA?
13:03This guy's regular customers are abandoning his station and driving across the border to fill up.
13:10Cody Eggleson is the manager at a lonely mobile gas station in the desert city of Needles, California,
13:16where gas sells for a whopping $7.49 a gallon.
13:20All those customers that used to pull in here, they go straight off this exit into Arizona.
13:26That's because just a mile and a half away across the border in Arizona,
13:29drivers are finding a huge savings.
13:32Gas sells for $4.19 a gallon.
13:36That's more than $3 a gallon in savings.
13:38This California resident just made the drive across state lines.
13:42Here I am, Arizona.
13:44So why is there such a big difference in gas prices from one state to another,
13:48when they're separated by just a mile and a half?
13:50Here in California, drivers pay the highest state gas tax in the country, about $0.70 a gallon.
13:56That compares to just $0.18 a gallon in Arizona.
14:00Also, California sells a more expensive, cleaner fuel blend.
14:04Add that to the Iran conflict, and California drivers are in shock.
14:09$8.29 for a gallon of gas.
14:11I'm like this close to filling up my car with milk and just see how far it takes me.
14:17Savvy drivers are now looking for options, and some have found it over the border,
14:22leaving this gas station manager one lonely guy, just like the song says.
14:27Hey there, lovely boy.
14:30The top three states with the cheapest gas prices right now are Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas.
14:37We'll be back with much more Inside Edition after this.
14:40Next, Judgment Day for the FedEx driver who killed this adorable little girl.
14:46He'll be caused to die.
14:48And worst wedding march ever.
14:55Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim will be right back.

17:15It was a crime that shocked the country.
17:18A FedEx driver murdering a seven-year-old girl inside his delivery truck.
17:22Today, as the victim's family watched, he was sentenced to death.
17:26FedEx delivery driver Tanner Horner is sentenced to death for the gruesome murder of a seven-year-old girl.
17:33It is the order of this court that your punishment be dead.
17:36The 34-year-old cold-blooded killer stood at attention and showed no emotion as he heard his fate.
17:43He had pled guilty to murdering little Athena Strand after kidnapping her in his FedEx delivery truck while delivering Christmas
17:51presents to her home outside Fort Worth.
17:53The jury only had to decide the sentence, and they were shown this haunting image of a terrified Athena trapped
18:00behind him in his truck as he drove to a clearing where she was strangled to death.
18:05Horner placed a cover over the video camera in his truck while he strangled Athena.
18:09Athena's mother, her hair dyed pink, which was Athena's favorite color, was in court to hear this sentence, and she
18:17held her other daughter in her arms.
18:19After the sentencing, Athena's uncle lashed out at his niece's killer.
18:23You are nothing. You are a footnote in Athena's story.
18:28Her name will forever be remembered.
18:31Her name will forever be celebrated, and everyone will forget you.
18:38The jurors entered the verdict after just three hours of deliberation.
