02:17Now,
02:18Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim.
02:22Hello,
02:22and thanks for joining us.
02:23New videos sparking growing concern for Britney Spears.
02:26After a night out,
02:27the pop star was videotaped getting behind the wheel and weaving all over the road.
02:33Now,
02:33many are wondering,
02:35is she spiraling?
02:36Jim Murray has the details.
02:38Troubled pop star Britney Spears is behind the wheel of that swerving black BMW.
02:44She makes a dangerous high-speed U-turn and then peels out.
02:49Then,
02:50she begins swaying all over the road.
02:52It's potentially dangerous and goes on for several miles.
02:56She crosses the double yellow line again and again.
03:00Lucky for her and everyone else on the road that night,
03:02there was no oncoming traffic.
03:05Oops,
03:05she did it again.
03:06At one point,
03:07she nearly slams into the car in front of her.
03:10When paparazzi catch up with Britney at a red light,
03:13she appears to be eating.
03:14Then,
03:15she flings something on the passenger seat.
03:17Britney had just left this restaurant,
03:19the Red O in Thousand Oaks,
03:20California.
03:21Witnesses say she was with friends who tried to talk her out of driving
03:24because she appeared to be intoxicated,
03:26but she drove off anyway.
03:28She lives about six miles from here and by the looks of the video,
03:31it's lucky she got home in one piece.
03:34This video shows Britney inside the restaurant holding a drink.
03:38Then,
03:38she walks hand in hand with a friend as they leave the restaurant.
03:42That same woman is seen talking to her as Britney backs out of the parking space and drives off.
03:48Britney is facing increasing scrutiny about her behavior,
03:50especially following the publication of her ex-husband's book,
03:54in which he makes claims that Britney breastfed after doing cocaine,
03:58among many other salacious allegations.
04:01Kevin Federline expresses concern for their two kids because of Britney's fascination with knives.
04:06They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway,
04:12watching them sleep.
04:13Oh,
04:13you're awake with a knife in her hand.
04:16Once Britney got home,
04:17she reportedly had trouble with the automatic gate and it took 20 minutes for her to get into her property.
04:23We reached out to Britney's rep for a comment on the troubling video,
04:27but did not hear back.
04:29She has previously called her ex-husband's allegations.
04:31She's an unfit mother.
04:33Lies.
04:34They were at the right place at the right time.
04:37That's body cam video of a mother and daughter helping a cop who was just shot during a traffic stop gone wrong.
04:45And not just any good Samaritans,
04:47nurses who just happened to be nearby.
04:51It's a life or death drama.
04:53The mother and her daughter,
04:54both nurses,
04:55battle to save a state trooper who's been shot.
04:57He needs water.
04:58The drama starts as the trooper pulls over a pickup truck in Kentucky.
05:02What's going on?
05:03He asks for ID.
05:05Suddenly,
05:05the trooper is shot in the leg and crawls away.
05:10Then the driver and the gun-toting passenger get out.
05:13The gunman runs around to the other side of the vehicle,
05:15jumps behind the wheel,
05:17and takes off in the SUV.
05:19The trooper's body cam captures what happens next.
05:22The police shot in the leg.
05:23Shot in the leg.
05:24The pickup truck driver rushes over to help.
05:26What do I do?
05:27Bleeding on the leg.
05:27Tourniquet?
05:28Yes.
05:29Oh my God, are you okay?
05:31Then the mom, daughter, and stepfather,
05:33who happened to be passing by,
05:34come to the trooper's aid,
05:36applying a second tourniquet using a belt.
05:38Where is the shot?
05:39Right here?
05:39Down here.
05:39Didn't go all the way through.
05:41Oh no.
05:42The mom and daughter nurses try to keep the trooper conscious.
05:45Look at me.
05:45Oh.
05:46You married?
05:47No.
05:47No?
05:48Got a girlfriend?
05:48The family was actually driving to their vacation in Florida
05:52when they came upon the shooting.
05:53It was like a,
05:54what can we do to help this guy to live another day?
05:56The grass was just completely covered in blood.
05:59The heroes who helped the trooper
06:01have just been honored for their heroic actions.
06:03They are mother and daughter Jessica Alexander and Taylor Hall
06:06and stepdad Jimmy Alexander.
06:09The grateful trooper is Jude Remillion.
06:11He needs water.
06:13The suspect was later killed in a shootout with police.
06:17Now, the cheating and gambling scandals rocking the NBA.
06:20The biggest names in the sport are weighing in,
06:23leading to some TV fireworks.
06:25And one wild allegation made by a top ESPN analyst
06:28has the head of the FBI fuming.
06:32Allison Hall has the very latest.
06:34There is fire and fury in the wake of the NBA gambling scandal.
06:39Trump is coming.
06:41TV sports analyst Stephen A. Smith is causing an uproar
06:44after accusing President Trump of targeting sports figures
06:47as revenge for opposing him.
06:50Don't be surprised if the WNBA is next on his list.
06:54Because when you've got all of these protests
06:56that have been going out there
06:57and people that have been protesting against him
06:59and what have you,
07:00this man is coming.
07:03He's coming.
07:04But FBI Director Cash Patel,
07:06who personally announced the arrest of 31 people
07:09in the gambling scandal,
07:10fired back on Fox News.
07:12Stephen A. Smith, the sports commentator,
07:15suggested that this was revenge from the president
07:18for all the kind of left-wing activism of the NBA.
07:21That may be the single dumbest thing I've ever heard
07:23out of anyone in modern history,
07:25and I live most of my time in Washington, D.C.
07:27America was stunned by the arrest
07:29of the NBA Hall of Famer Chauncey Billups,
07:32the Miami Heat's Terry Rozier,
07:34and former Cleveland Cavaliers Damon Jones,
07:37along with accused mafia mobsters.
07:39On last night's Inside the NBA,
07:42basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal
07:43had no sympathy for the disgraced NBA stars.
07:47All these guys knew what was at stake,
07:50and I'm just ashamed that they put themselves
07:53and put their family and put the NBA in this position.
07:56And his colleague Charles Barkley
07:58scoffed at the notion that the coach and players
08:01might be addicted to gambling.
08:03We have to realize gambling is an addiction.
08:05Come on, man, stop that.
08:07It ain't got nothing to do with addiction.
08:08That's just total stupidity on these two dudes' parts.
08:11And we're learning more shocking details
08:12about the underhanded methods the ring allegedly used
08:16to rig poker games and cheat high-stakes gamblers.
08:20Prosecutors say this X-ray poker table
08:22revealed the playing cards that were laid face down.
08:25Did you defraud victims out of millions of dollars?
08:29Hall of Famer Chauncey Billups ignored questions
08:31as he left court after his arraignment
08:34on fraud and money laundering charges.
08:35Did you commit the crimes you're accused of committing?
08:40An attorney for Coach Chauncey Billups said in a statement
08:42that his client is, quote,
08:44a man of integrity and men of integrity
08:46do not cheat and defraud others.
08:49How real is it?
08:51That's what people are asking about the new Netflix movie,
08:54A House of Dynamite.
08:55It's about the government's race to stop a nuclear missile
08:58launched at the United States.
08:59As Les Trent reports, it's already frightening viewers,
09:03terrified it could really happen.
09:06A new apocalyptic thriller about the threat of nuclear war
09:09is sending shockwaves across the USA.
09:12Have we seen DEFCON table fall?
09:14No.
09:16Is this real?
09:17A House of Dynamite imagines the chilling minute-by-minute response
09:21by the U.S. government as a single nuclear warhead
09:24is launched by an unnamed foreign enemy.
09:27The current flight trajectory is consistent with impact
09:31somewhere in the continental United States.
09:34We've seen other riveting movies
09:35where nuclear weapons target the USA.
09:40Dr. Strangelove explored the consequences of nuclear war
09:44in a darkly comic way.
09:46In a few minutes, the bombs may be falling.
09:48Failsafe took a serious look at the threat.
09:52And so did War Games.
09:57In a House of Dynamite, the president, played by actor Idris Elba,
10:01is rushed onto a chopper, followed by his military aide,
10:05carrying the so-called nuclear football.
10:08It's the president's emergency satchel containing launch codes
10:12that authorize a nuclear attack.
10:13It travels with all presidents, including, of course, Donald Trump.
10:19Now, a House of Dynamite has people on edge
10:21asking whether it's really accurate that the president
10:24has just 19 minutes to respond and authorize a retaliatory strike back.
10:29Every second literally counts.
10:32Physicist Ernest Moniz served as Secretary of Energy under President Obama.
10:38He has seen a House of Dynamite twice.
10:41There is a very limited amount of time, is there not, to respond.
10:44How much time are we talking?
10:45In the movie, they say that there's 19 minutes
10:48between detection of the missile and impact
10:52when you figure out that they've got to verify it and all of this.
10:56I would say the president, in reality, has got maybe 10 minutes to respond.
11:02Is this real?
11:03Polls have found nearly 70 percent of all Americans fear a nuclear attack.
11:07The movie, A House of Dynamite, started streaming today on Netflix.
11:11Tonight, the new Miss USA will be crowned in Reno,
11:15and Miss Nevada is getting attention for appearing with two very different looks
11:20during the preliminary events.
11:22As Ann Mercogliano reports, it all has to do with a secret she's been keeping.
11:27Mary Sickler.
11:29Miss Nevada takes the stage at the Miss USA pageant with dark, voluminous hair.
11:34Nevada, Mary Sickler.
11:36But just moments later, Mary Sickler appeared in the preliminary evening gown competition,
11:40and she looked very different.
11:43Her long hair, gone.
11:45Replaced by a bejeweled head covering.
11:47So, what happened?
11:49Turns out, the 22-year-old has alopecia,
11:52the autoimmune disease that causes hair loss.
11:55That long hair is a wig.
11:57Her secret is now officially out.
12:00What led up to your decision to ditch the wig?
12:03Coming into this pageant, I had planned on wearing a wig the entire time.
12:07And I kept on having this feeling that there's a reason why I was put in this position.
12:12So, I had my mom buy some appliques, bling them out to match my dress.
12:16And I've been met with so much love and support.
12:19I mean, I heard the crowd cheering so loud.
12:21Mary only started losing her hair 10 months ago.
12:26You can see it starting to thin.
12:28I never felt uglier.
12:29I had no brows, no lashes.
12:31My hair was in patches.
12:32And I didn't even feel like I was the same Mary.
12:35No one knew she was wearing a wig when she was crowned Miss Nevada USA in July.
12:40Isn't she look beautiful, ladies and gentlemen?
12:41I remember hiding in the back of the hair and makeup room,
12:44holding down my wig because I didn't want anyone to know.
12:47Mary makes sure her wig stays in place with glue.
12:50The glue's all around here and in the back.
12:53It's just, it's on.
12:55You can't even tell.
12:57Tonight, she'll become the first woman ever to compete in Miss USA with alopecia.
13:01And she'll have one mission in mind.
13:04To show people that I'm beautiful with or without hair.
13:09Mary will be wearing her wig throughout tonight's Miss USA pageant,
13:12which is a pay-per-view event on the Queen Beauty Network.
13:16It's her tradition at Sabrina Carpenter's shows.
13:19The pop star playfully puts a fan under arrest for being too hot.
13:23Well, wait till you hear who got put in pink cuffs last night.
13:28Sabrina Carpenter has a surprise.
13:31Excuse me, what's your name?
13:33She's arresting an audience member for being hot, this time in Pittsburgh.
13:38And wait till you see who it is.
13:40Gigi?
13:42Gigi.
13:45Does that stick for gorgeous girl?
13:48It's supermodel Gigi Hadid.
13:51Gigi, I'm getting so hot and flustered.
13:53I feel like I just, oh my God.
13:55It always happens when I get excited about love.
13:59Here come the fluffy pink handcuffs.
14:01Gigi, will you be too much more girl?
14:03This one's for Gigi, everybody.
14:08Wow.
14:10And look who just got her ears pierced.
14:13It's Kate Hudson's seven-year-old daughter, Ronnie.
14:16On mom's lap for support, it's time for ear number two.
14:20All done.
14:23Oh my God, Ronnie.
14:24They're so beautiful.
14:27She's got mom's approval.
14:29And eight is the most popular age for girls to first get their ears pierced.
14:36Kate's daughter is seven.
14:38We'll be back with Much More Inside Edition after this.

17:46Does it really work?
17:47Your girl is pregnant.
17:48Next in Sun Edition.
17:52There it goes.
17:54Our cameras spotted trucks bringing debris
17:56from the now-demolished East Wing of the White House
17:59to two different dumping grounds.
18:01And as Ann Roccagliano reports,
18:03one is on a public golf course.
18:06So where's all that rubble from the East Wing going?
18:10Right here, a golf course just three miles from the White House.
18:15A steady stream of trucks is hauling the debris
18:17from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
18:19to the East Potomac Golf Links,
18:21a public golf course on an island in the Potomac.
18:24Inside Edition, producer Michelle Segona
18:26saw trucks driving to the golf course
18:29and dumping debris to form hills
18:31that will become integrated in the course over time.
18:35There's fencing that's going up.
18:36There's a lot of construction.
18:38There's bulldozers.
18:39There's dirt being moved.
18:41You can see workers sorting through it,
18:42taking out plastic pipes and electrical wiring.
18:46And there are growing concerns today
18:47about what else might be in the rubble.
18:50As the East Wing was being torn down,
18:51a massive dust cloud was created.
18:53Water hoses were used to keep the dust at bay,
18:56but only so much.
18:57You don't want to see dust clouds floating through the air
19:00and not know what's in them.
19:02Environmental scientist Jerry Roseman says
19:05given the age of the East Wing,
19:06it was built in 1902.
19:09The possibility of it containing toxic materials is high.
19:13Pre-1940, 1945,
19:15you're looking at a lot of materials with asbestos,
19:18especially, that are fireproofing kinds of materials
19:22that might have been sprayed on,
19:23as well as insulation materials around pipes and boilers.
19:27We're seeing satellite photos today
19:29that show just how much was demolished.
19:32This image is from earlier this month,
19:34and this was yesterday.
19:36The East Wing has been raised.
19:38So has the portico connecting the East Wing to the White House.
19:41That's where the White House movie theater was located.
19:44Six trees have also reportedly been removed,
19:47including two historic magnolias.
19:49President Trump is brushing off the criticism.
19:52He says he only wants what's best for the White House.
19:55I spend millions of dollars on this building,
19:58taking care of it.
19:59It was not properly maintained,
20:01and now it's starting to gleam like it should.
20:04Now, if you are thinking of picking up
20:06some of the East Wing debris
20:07to possibly auction off on eBay,
20:10a warning, since it's from a national landmark,
20:13it's still government property
20:15and cannot be put up for sale.
20:17We'll be back with more Inside Edition after this.
20:20Still to come, it's Saving Zoe.

23:19A dog named Zoe needs help.
23:22She just got stuck between two giant boulders.
23:25It's a race against time to rescue a puppy stuck between two boulders.
23:30Little Zoe is clearly in distress.
23:34She's scared and yelping in fear.
23:38As luck would have it,
23:40Zoe lives next to a firefighter who called in the cavalry.
23:43We came with the fire engine.
23:46We pulled almost every tool we can have.
23:48The firefighters tried everything they could think of
23:51to move the gigantic boulders,
23:53a hose to lift the dog,
23:55the jaws of life.
23:56Finally, they brought in inflatable airbags.
23:59Success.
24:00It worked.
24:01Oh, my God.
24:02Zoe's owner was so excited,
24:04she dropped the camera.
24:05Oh, my God.
24:07Today, Zoe is safe at home
24:09with owners Anita and Ken Flynn
24:10in Ramona, California.
24:12What happened at the end?
24:13We never see Zoe coming out.
24:15All of a sudden, I heard a firefighter yell,
24:17we got her, and I screamed.
24:19Oh, my God.
24:22I didn't have the sense to keep the camera still
24:25while I was screaming
24:26because I was on another boulder,
24:27and I ran down that boulder to go to her.
24:30Little Zoe, safe and sound,
24:32whimpering no more.
24:37So glad Zoe is home.
