01:54buildings across the USA. Get out! Get out of the building! Get out of the building! Get out!
02:00And going bananas. It is the biggest game in banana ball history!
02:06Now, Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim. Hello, and thanks for joining us. We begin with
02:12terror on the seas. Three people are dead, including a husband and wife, after coming down with the
02:18Hantavirus, which usually spreads by rats. It happened on board a cruise ship on a voyage across the Atlantic.
02:25As Les Trent reports, worried passengers are being told to stay in their cabins for fear of spreading the virus.
02:33This passenger on the cruise ship, believed to be stricken with three fatal cases of so-called rat virus,
02:39is making an emotional statement to the world. And what's happening right now is very real for all of us
02:45here.
02:47We're not just a story. We're not just headlines. We're people. People with families, with lives,
02:57with people waiting for us at home. Jake Rosemarin from Boston is a passenger on board the MV Hundias,
03:03now trapped in limbo on what was an exotic cruise off the coast of West Africa.
03:09There's a lot of uncertainty, and that's the hardest part. All we want right now is to feel safe,
03:19to have clarity, and to get home. The cruise ship has been hit by an outbreak of suspected Hantavirus.
03:27Three passengers have lost their lives. Three other people on the ship require urgent medical care.
03:33Before tragedy struck, Jake Rosemarin posted these images from his 35-day voyage.
03:41This is day 15 of my Atlantic Odyssey.
03:43Hantavirus was in the headlines a year ago when legendary actor Jean Hackman's wife, Betsy, died from the virus.
03:51The virus is spread by breathing or touching surfaces contaminated with rodent urine, droppings, or saliva,
03:57often in enclosed areas like a cabin or a basement.
04:01We spoke today to infectious disease expert Dr. Amish Adolja.
04:06With this particular version of Hantavirus, it affects the lungs, so the lungs become filled with fluid,
04:12and in some cases that can be fatal if they are not intervened upon.
04:16The ship's operators say the health and safety of all passengers and crew is our highest priority.
04:22We are currently establishing the full facts and working on appropriate medical care, screening, and next steps.
04:30But right now, no one is being allowed to disembark.
04:34If you're seeing coverage about this, just remember that there are real people behind it,
04:40and that this isn't something happening somewhere far away. It's happening to us.
04:45Here in the U.S., Hantavirus is rare, with roughly 10 to 50 cases reported annually.
04:51Remember the guy who had to take an entire plane ride with water dripping on his head?
04:58Well, here he is talking for the first time about the flight that left him drenched.
05:03He spoke exclusively with Stephen Fabian.
05:06The airline passenger who got dripped, dripped, dripped upon is speaking out today for the first time.
05:12Man, when I saw this video, this must have been a miserable experience for you.
05:18It was very wet.
05:20Kevin Glover, a high school basketball coach from Ohio, was flying from Houston to Chicago
05:25when a mystery liquid started pouring down on him.
05:28This started from the time that we started to push back on the tarmac all the way until we landed.
05:34He says the flight attendants explained that the liquid was condensation from the plane's ventilation system.
05:40They apologized. They said, hey, we're so sorry. Handed me some paper towels.
05:45They did not move your seat on the flight.
05:46No, they didn't. And there were other seats available.
05:49That's correct.
05:50Man, that is crazy to me. The very least they could have done was move your seat.
05:55Yes.
05:56Kevin posted his ordeal on social media with the caption, soaked from head to undies.
06:02And it went viral with 5 million views and a whole lot of outrage.
06:08Let that man fly for five years for free, goes one comment.
06:12United says they reached out to the customer to apologize and make it right.
06:16But Kevin says they fell short.
06:19And she said, hey, I'm sorry. Hey, I'm sorry this happened.
06:22And we can offer you 120 something dollars.
06:26I don't want to be greedy or anything like that. I just want to be compensated fairly.
06:29We reached out to United Airlines about Kevin's claims that he could have been moved to an empty
06:35seat and that he wasn't fairly compensated, but did not hear back.
06:40Britney Spears is free again, this time from a serious DUI charge.
06:45As Jim Murray reports, Britney avoided jail time taking a plea deal.
06:50Britney Spears pled guilty today to wet reckless, meaning driving with drugs or alcohol involved.
06:57It follows her DUI arrest two months ago.
07:00Black sedan, erotic braking, flirting and driving with no tail light.
07:03Britney did not appear in court today. Instead, she entered her reckless driving plea
07:07through her attorney. The judge then announced strict rules for the pop star to follow.
07:12She is not to use or possess drugs without a valid prescription.
07:17She is ordered to continue in her mental health and substance treatment.
07:21She is ordered to meet with a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month.
07:29After her arrest, Britney posted images with her sons, Jaden James and Sean Preston,
07:34with whom she's previously had a strained relationship.
07:37Then she checked into a rehab facility for three weeks.
07:41Britney has had a troubling history behind the wheel. In 2023, she was pulled over
07:46for allegedly passing over double lanes.
07:49I'm so sorry.
07:49A month earlier, the same officer pulled her over for allegedly speeding.
07:53You're going 60 and it's like a 45.
07:56I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry.
07:57And last year, Britney was captured on camera swerving all over the road
08:01and crossing the double yellow lines again and again. Outside court, Britney's attorney spoke to reporters.
08:08Is she happy with the plea that was taken inside court?
08:11I don't think anybody's happy about pleading guilty to anything, but under the circumstances,
08:15and to get this behind her, I think everybody is pleased with the result.
08:19As part of her deal, Britney consented to her car being randomly searched for any alcohol or drugs.
08:26It's the biggest night in fashion. The iconic Met Gala draws in the huge stars. But this year,
08:33a number of big names are skipping the red carpet. Amra Cagliano tells us why.
08:39Here we go.
08:40The party of the year is facing unprecedented backlash.
08:44Yo, here we go.
08:44This year's Met Gala finds itself steeped in turmoil. Why? Because the honorary chairs
08:51are billionaire Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez, who spoke at the museum this morning.
08:57The Met has always understood something the rest of the world is finally catching up to.
09:02Fashion is art.
09:04They reportedly donated $10 million to sponsor tonight's party.
09:09But that price tag is also getting them attention they probably never expected.
09:13Look at the message projected last night on a building in New York City. Boycott the Bezos Met Gala.
09:20Many protesters claim the founder of Amazon is anti-union and has turned right-wing.
09:26All right, the tent is up here at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on
09:29Manhattan's ritzy Fifth Avenue for tonight's big gala. And take a look at this, all of the fans that are
09:34out here.
09:36Party planners are excited for the fans, but they're also bracing for protesters.
09:42Amanda Sanders is a well-known stylist.
09:45Protesting the abundance of wealth, the abundance of greed, the abundance of what Amazon has become.
09:51Buzz about a celebrity boycott of the gala is growing. Meryl Streep will not attend.
09:56A major blow since her new hit movie, The Devil Wears Prada 2, is all about a fictional fashion editor
10:02based
10:03on Vogue's legendary Anna Wintour. Also not attending the red carpet Zendaya. New York City's far left
10:09mayor Zoran Mondami will also skip the party where a single ticket reportedly costs $100,000.
10:18Beyonce is a co-chair of the big event and will attend for the first time in 10 years.
10:24The Met Gala is one of the world's most lucrative fundraisers, raising more than $30 million each year
10:31for the Met's Costume Institute. Scientology under siege. The church is calling them coordinated
10:38attacks. Young people storming the front door and then running through the building. As Allison Hall
10:44reports, the church is now beefing up security. Total chaos as a mob of teenagers storm the Scientology
10:53headquarters in New York. They tear through the building, reportedly running over a Scientology
10:59staffer. Similar incidents are happening at Scientology centers everywhere. It's a social media
11:06driven trend called speedrunning. Gangs of youths raid Scientology centers at high speed and post video
11:13of the mayhem on TikTok. Get out! Get out! Get out of the building! Get out of the building! Get
11:20out!
11:21You're trespassing! In Vancouver, Canada, police confronted hundreds of youths attempting to storm
11:26the Scientology center. Some made it to the roof. This speedrun at a Scientology center in Orange County,
11:35California included a team of little people. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go! A museum dedicated to Scientology
11:42founder L. Ron Hubbard is a frequent target. The trend began in March when a single teenage boy
11:49posted video of himself racing through a Scientology center in LA. His video garnered an amazing 100
11:56million views before it was taken down. From that one event, speedrunning for Scientology offices
12:03has grown to dozens of young intruders at a time. Now, the Los Angeles Police Department is
12:10investigating the incidents as a potential hate crime. We spoke with Scientology critic Richard Ross.
12:17Anyone who crosses swords with Scientology, and I speak from experience, is going to be subjected
12:25to scrutiny by the organization. They may be put under surveillance, and they may find themselves
12:33harassed. So is it really worth it for a prank? Exterior door handles have been taken off the doors
12:39at Scientology centers on Hollywood Boulevard to make it harder to get inside. Get out! Get out!
12:46A Scientology spokesperson says the speedruns are turning peaceful spaces into targets for viral stunts,
12:53encouraging trespassing, harassment, and disruption of religious facilities.
12:59Now, a wild confrontation right in a driveway. A woman was approaching her front door when a rabid fox
13:05attacked her, latching onto her leg as she tried to kick it off. The 20-year-old nursing student from
13:12upstate New York says the fox would not give up even as she was trying to open her door. The
13:18wild animal
13:19did bite her. She had to get a number of rabies shots, but will be okay. America's best-known kidnapping
13:26survivor Elizabeth Smart stunned the country when she revealed her newest hobby, bodybuilding. In an
13:32Inside Edition exclusive, I went to the gym with her to see her workout. Working out with Elizabeth Smart
13:39is not for the weak. Front raises. And then how many of these do you do? Three sets of ten.
13:46Then, on to biceps. Bicep curls, that's good. Okay. She taught me a trick for the very challenging
13:53Bulgarian split squat. You put your leg forward, and then you stand up on it, and then that's how far
13:58away
13:59you should stand from the bench. And then you just stick your leg back there? Stick your leg, yeah. You
14:03almost hinge,
14:03and it's like almost going down an escalator in reverse. America's most famous kidnapping victim
14:09recently took home first place in the fit model novice category at a bodybuilding competition in Utah.
14:16The 38-year-old made jaws drop when she shared this photo flexing in high heels and a bikini. When
14:23I saw your
14:23post on Instagram, it seemed like you were hesitant to share that you had been doing this. Oh, definitely.
14:31I mean, this was my fourth competition. Initially, I was like, no, I'm not going to post about bodybuilding,
14:38because I just kept on thinking, would people still believe me when I'm talking about fighting sexual
14:44violence? And then just the more I thought about it, I was like, my body has carried me through
14:48every bad experience in my life. It deserves to be celebrated. Were you surprised at the response
14:54after you posted? Oh, yes. All of the ladies are in bikinis. When you decided to do this, how did
15:03you feel
15:04about the fact that, like, this is what you were signing up for? Oh, absolutely terrified. I still am.
15:09Every time I walk out on stage, like, I'm shaking and nervous. I mean, my whole life, modesty was very
15:17important to my upbringing. I mean, it's always just been like, you must be modest. You must be modest. And
15:22this looks like
15:23it's just about as far outside of that as possible. I have one shot at life. And if my kidnapping
15:29should
15:30have taught me anything, it should teach me to live the life that I always dreamed of, to do everything
15:35I
15:36want to do. Elizabeth has a new self-help book, Detours, Hope and Growth After Life's Hardest Turns.
15:43She also plans on entering another bodybuilding competition later this year.
15:48Next, robot on a plane. Why he's not a hit with the other passengers.
15:54And going bananas. It is the biggest game in banana ball history.
15:59Plus, pop superstar Benson Boone, wedding singer.
16:03I am your own.
16:06Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim. We'll be right back.

18:13Actress Olivia Wilde is having fun with this image going viral, admitting it's not her best look.
18:20Actress director Olivia Wilde is setting the record straight after this unflattering image of the 42-year-old star
18:27had people scratching their collective heads. Olivia looked gaunt and bug-eyed at the San Francisco
18:32International Film Festival, with some social media trolls comparing her looks to Gollum from
18:38Lord of the Rings. Responding to the controversy, Olivia posted this light-hearted video on Instagram,
18:43blaming the photo on the camera lens. That is a fisheye lens. And I admit,
18:51is that the best, is that my best angle? Was that my best ever look? No.
18:56And just two weeks before their trial was to start, there's been a settlement in the battle between
19:01actress Blake Lively and her director and co-star, Justin Baldoni, avoiding potentially ugly court testimony.
19:08She had accused him of sexual harassment on the set of their movie, It Ends With Us,
19:13which he denies. Lawyers from both sides said in a statement that Lively's concerns deserve to be
19:19heard and they hope everyone involved can now move forward constructively and in peace.
19:25And you've heard of the movie Snakes on a Plane. Well, now it's a robot. The humanoid named Bebop
19:33even had his own seat, but he ended up delaying the plane and annoying his fellow passengers.
19:40Passengers got quite the surprise when a robot boarded their flight. Bebop travels the nation
19:46performing at corporate events. At first, everyone was delighted as the humanoid entertained them
19:52before boarding the Southwest Airlines flight in Oakland. But when he took his seat on the plane,
19:57the fun ended. Turns out his lithium battery was too big and had to be removed, delaying the flight
20:04for an hour. Bebop's owner had to have new batteries shipped to Chicago where they were booked to have
20:10the robot perform. We'll be back with more Inside Edition after this. Still to come, going bananas.
20:18It is the biggest game in banana ball history. Plus, pop superstar Benson Boone, wedding singer.

22:08I could never wear gray. My white shirts would have yellow stains all over them. I always had the
