00:00We've got to get to the championship in Major League Baseball,
00:02which is the World Series game number one tonight,
00:04live from Toronto, 8 p.m.
00:06Blake Snell's going to pitch.
00:07And, hey, thank you, Toronto Blue Jays,
00:09for finally letting us know who's actually going to pitch for you.
00:12That's Trey Yassavage.
00:14We'll start World Series game one for the Blue Jays,
00:16going up against Blake Snell.
00:18How about that?
00:18Yassavage, the young kid, game one of the World Series, big moment.
00:23Yeah, it's a big, big moment.
00:25I mean, the kid delivered last time out in a big, big moment
00:29for the Blue Jays as well.
00:31This is going to be a little bit different, though.
00:34So I think this is, you know, you're starting game one of the World Series,
00:39which is a totally different animal than what you just did
00:43against the Seattle Mariners.
00:45I mean, don't forget, Donnie, a couple of months ago,
00:46this kid is just, you know, he's going through the minor leagues,
00:49mowing everybody down.
00:51The next thing you know, end of August, September,
00:53he's called up to the bigs like, wait, what?
00:55So this is going to be interesting.
00:58And, well, we'll see.
01:00I mean, we know Blake Snell's been there and done that, Donnie, don't we?
01:04So there won't be as many nerves on the Dodgers side, I think,
01:08as there will be here with the Toronto side.
01:10Yeah, rotations are set for this one.
01:12Blake Snell's been nothing short of spectacular,
01:14getting the people caught up on the odds here.
01:16They really haven't moved over the past couple of days,
01:18even with the announcement of the starting pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays.
01:21Those 148s to 150s, they're primarily gone.
01:23Most of these outlets now, Joe, 155 in that range and a total still sitting at seven and a half.
01:29So we'll wait to see some of the starting lineups that come out a little bit later.
01:32It looks like we're probably going to settle in, Joe, around that minus 150 marker for tonight's game.
01:36Yes, that's about right here.
01:40And it feels like that seven and a half again in Toronto.
01:45I mean, it's a hitter's ballpark, Donnie, and the Dodgers and Toronto have the two best hitting teams
01:51in Major League Baseball up and down the lineup.
01:53So this is going to be – I'm going to be interested to see where the totals go from here throughout this series.
02:00If this hits the over, which I think it will, will we ever get an eight, Donnie, or an eight and a half
02:05in one of these lines coming up?
02:08Maybe it's going to be tough with this Dodgers rotation, but I think in Toronto, that's a hitter's ballpark.
02:14And also, do you remember when Toronto was out there saying, you know what?
02:17Let's put our feet in the water here and try to get after and get Shohei Otani as a free agent.
02:22And I always remember the plane that was totally tracked by, like, L.A. flying into Toronto,
02:27and it turned out to be the guy from Shark Tank.
02:29I think it was Robert Herjavec was actually the guy that got off the plane
02:32and everybody was upset in Toronto because they thought it was Shohei Otani possibly signing
02:36with the Toronto Blue Jays.
02:37But now they say, you know what?
02:39We gave you a lot of paraphernalia here to try to recruit you here.
02:41And also, a jacket for decoys.
02:43If you know what decoy is, that's his dog.
02:45It's a little gamesmanship saying, you know what?
02:47You didn't want to come here.
02:48Why don't you just give us back that paraphernalia we gave you back in the day as well?
02:53Yeah, he can't.
02:54I think he bedded away.
02:55No, I'm sorry.
02:56He doesn't have it anymore, Donnie, I don't think.
02:59Did I say it out loud?
03:01He doesn't.
03:01I don't think he has it anymore, Donnie, quite honestly.
03:05But I like the idea of trying to get into his head and get the ball rolling there.
03:11So kudos to Schneider here.
03:14But just remember, he's going to be on the mound for one of these games against you guys.
03:18Just saying.
03:20By the way, tell me this again.
03:22A couple hundred thousand dollars were bet with Terry Rozier.
03:25It turned into a two-year-long media fiasco.
03:28It finally ends with the FBI.
03:30Tell me, Shoei Otani was betting millions of dollars with his interpreter.
03:34And after like two days, this was like, yeah, we checked everything, man.
03:37It's all good.
03:37Nothing to see here.
03:39Welcome back, Shoei Otani.
03:40Let's do it.
03:41How about this?
03:42It's a football Friday.
03:43It's the final segment of a long week.
03:45Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
03:47To get you to this Friday, because everybody's working for the weekend here.
03:51And at this time, we like to reach out and ask you a question.
03:54It's called Fade the Public.
04:03Ah, we got the World Series starting tonight.
04:06The Fall Classic.
04:07Boy, I wish my Philadelphia Phillies were in it, but they're not.
04:10There is a team in the sixth today.
04:11And what that is, that's Toronto.
04:12It's also a team out there in LA.
04:14That's the Dodgers and the Blue Jays.
04:16They're going to go toe-to-toe for seven games, or at least we hope,
04:19and crown a champion in Major League Baseball.
04:21If you follow us, which I don't know why you don't,
04:24at SportsGrid on X, we ask these questions each and every day
04:27so we can get a feel for where the public wants to go on a certain topic.
04:30That topic today is the World Series.
04:32And that question that was asked, who are you taking in game one of the World Series tonight?
04:37And we made it even simpler than before.
04:39You don't have to worry about the spread.
04:41You don't have to worry about, you know, where the money line sits.
04:43You don't have to worry about any of that.
04:44Just pick the team that you think is going to win tonight.
04:47And it's no surprise that the Los Angeles Dodgers,
04:5062% of the votes coming in right now,
04:52have been placed on the Dodgers winning the game tonight.
04:55That's actually surprising, Joe.
04:57Based on how heavy of a favorite they are, let's call it minus 155,
05:00that more people wouldn't be taking the money with the Dodgers.
05:03Some Blue Jays love out there tonight.
05:06Yeah, why not?
05:07Again, we've said they have the best puncher's chance of anybody here
05:12because of how this roster is built in this lineup.
05:15You know, to me, this series and especially this game, Donnie,
05:18is going to be all about, can that lineup of Toronto get to that Dodgers bullpen
05:24early enough in games to be able to do some damage?
05:27If they can, should be fun.
05:29And if they can, Donnie, because I don't like Toronto's bullpen either,
05:32but I can tell you, we're going to get some overs
05:34and we're going to get some runs in this World Series.
05:37Yeah, give us something memorable.
05:39Don't give us 6-1 Dodgers every single game
05:41and there's no reason to watch anything past game number three.
05:44Give us a 1-1 split in Toronto.
05:46Who cares?
05:47Give us two out of three whoever wins in L.A.
05:49Bring us back for a game six or possibly a game seven,
05:52which we'll be thoroughly enjoyed,
05:53just like we just enjoyed the ALCS going seven games
05:57with a big home run by George Springer.
05:58We love that in Major League Baseball.
06:01Ah, Cal and the points, you know, would love that there.
06:03Aaron Rodgers would really appreciate that bet winning tonight there.
06:06See if they can cash that one in for me.
06:08I am going to go to the World Series game number one tonight up in Toronto.
06:12Spread line for this one, minus 155, give or take here.
06:15But the total is listed at seven and a half.
06:16What?
06:17You can't take the over, Donnie.
06:19Are you crazy?
06:19Have you seen what the Dodgers pitching staff has done?
06:22Yes, I have.
06:22But I've also seen the Dodgers do damage at the plate
06:24and also the Toronto Blue Jays.
06:26We call it regression back to the mean.
06:28If the Dodgers go into this game to give up one run again,
06:31you tip your cap and move on.
06:33But I got a feeling that we're going to get some runs early in this game.
06:39Give me over seven and a half,
06:41and then we'll tack on more once we get to the bullpen.
06:43A 2-1-0 night on a Friday, because why, Joe?
06:46Friday's payday around these parts.
06:48I love it, Donnie.
06:50I'm with you, man.
06:51I think runs are coming here tonight.
06:53Looking forward to that one as well.
06:55You savage?
06:56No savage.
06:57Give up the runs, brother.
06:58Let's get seven in the first inning.
06:59Get the party started tonight.
07:01Thank you for tuning in all week for Joe and Donnie.
07:04We're on the early line.
07:05See you on Monday.
07:05See you on Monday.
