00:00:55India business
00:00:57Mr.
00:00:59Gaurav Gupta.
00:01:00Thank you.
00:01:01Vielen Dank.
00:01:32Why wake up when the world sleeps?
00:01:41Every single day.
00:01:48Why train alone?
00:02:01Why do the same thing?
00:02:14Again and again.
00:02:21Lap after lap.
00:02:23Day in. Day out.
00:02:28Why jump?
00:02:40Why glide?
00:02:46Why slide?
00:02:50Why fall?
00:02:52Why get back up?
00:03:13Why lose?
00:03:14Why win?
00:03:22Why do it?
00:03:23Because if it gets your heart racing,
00:03:37it's worth doing.
00:03:44EVS Racing.
00:03:46Engineering goose bumps since 1982.
00:03:49Good evening and welcome to what will be, in our opinion,
00:03:58redefining the segment of adventure, rally, and touring.
00:04:05And I just love the line, grit to glory.
00:04:08And over the next two days, maybe three days, you will experience what will enable and what will help you
00:04:17and what will help thousands and thousands of riders across the world to really get to the glory point.
00:04:24But before we go on to talk about the product, where it will stand, and what it's all about,
00:04:36it's my privilege to introduce to you, briefly, about the company, the people, the DNA that is behind the product,
00:04:46and that is what I will capture in a few charts from now.
00:04:51If you look at our journey so far, it's a company with very, very rich history.
00:04:57We started with the first two-wheeler production in the year 1979,
00:05:02and have never looked back ever since, right to this day, grit to glory.
00:05:06We established our first two-wheeler plant overseas in the year 2006, and that was in Indonesia.
00:05:16We moved on thereafter to bring in more and more products.
00:05:20If you look at it, we also were equipped and enabled ourselves to win the first Deming Award for quality in the year 2002.
00:05:30So if you look at it, our international foray, our commitment to quality,
00:05:36and then continuing more and more segments to enter with our products.
00:05:41We entered the premium segment 20 years ago with Apache.
00:05:46In 2022, we brought in Ronin, our naked new roadster.
00:05:52And then last year, we also brought in our electric mobility.
00:05:56More and more products came into the picture.
00:05:58So two-wheelers in scooters, two-wheelers electric vehicles, two-wheelers motorcycles,
00:06:05multiple accolades across the journey, and that is what captures our entire momentum
00:06:10and continues with us even today.
00:06:13What drives us at TVS are our six core values.
00:06:18The first value is on trust.
00:06:20Trust is very, very important for us because this defines our transparency,
00:06:26our openness, and most importantly, honoring our commitments.
00:06:32And this is in all our dealings, internal, external, and continuing beyond that as well.
00:06:39It's important for me to redefine this again and reinforce it today
00:06:42because that is something that a lot of riders will also trust our product with
00:06:48to deliver what they're expecting out of that.
00:06:51value maximization.
00:06:54It's always about providing...
00:06:56Isn't this lovely with the mist coming on to you?
00:06:59This is really...
00:06:59The mountains are calling.
00:07:01So what a wonderful setting, I must say.
00:07:03Brilliant, guys, isn't it?
00:07:06Unbelievable.
00:07:07Unbelievable.
00:07:08And this is what excites all of us as well.
00:07:11And this is, I would say, Vimal and the team.
00:07:13This is value maximization.
00:07:14I mean, who would expect this entire benefit to all of us in the middle of the lower Himalayas?
00:07:19So value maximization for us is always giving and providing a little more than what anyone expects,
00:07:27be it in terms of features, be it in terms of expectation of our normal delivery as well.
00:07:34Exactness.
00:07:34Sharpness, precision is what has been driving not only our engineering and our R&D teams,
00:07:41but also our entire workforce to a relentless reflection
00:07:47and thereafter making it part of our DNA and helping us to progress further.
00:07:53Customer obsession.
00:07:55We wouldn't be here if we were not obsessed with our customers
00:07:57to understand their needs, the shifts in consumer patterns, technology movements,
00:08:04what they embrace, what they will like in the future.
00:08:07All of this comes together when we look at customer obsession.
00:08:12Speed and agility.
00:08:14Well, we can be obsessed about customer, but if we don't bring it on time
00:08:18and we don't bring it and inspire people, then this will be of no use.
00:08:23And hence, speed and agility is going to be the backbone of us and our company and our DNA
00:08:30to be able to fulfill our entire other promises and our values.
00:08:35And all of this with our disruptive mindset.
00:08:38The disruptive mindset goes beyond and inspires us to what can be the possibility for the future.
00:08:46Unbridled, unconstrained thinking, challenging each other, learning from each other,
00:08:52and bringing it and helping everybody elevate their experience.
00:08:57All of these put together is our core value stack at TVS.
00:09:02Next.
00:09:03Now, all of this has been possible and helped us to bring some great products.
00:09:09Over the last so many years, we've got products which are backed across multiple customer segments
00:09:16for purpose, for pockets of different nature and type.
00:09:20And that has helped us to get a footprint in over 90 countries across the world.
00:09:27So, an Indian DNA, an Indian company has transformed itself into a global multinational
00:09:35with a footprint in 90-plus countries, different segments, different languages,
00:09:41different expectations, all coming from the home of TVS.
00:09:44More importantly, is that in this course of guiding more and more customers,
00:09:50we have reached the pedestal of rank number four, inching on rank number three
00:09:55in the global overall track of manufacturers and two-wheelers.
00:09:59But more important to us than the rank three, rank four, etc., is how many consumers are we able
00:10:07to inspire, bring them on to the TVS fold, and make them fans and loved customers of TVS.
00:10:15Next.
00:10:17In this journey, specifically in India, over the last five years, we've had a stupendous run
00:10:24of our market share gore of 4.6%.
00:10:27But along this way as well, we have continued our focus on quality.
00:10:33I talked about our Deming Award in 2002.
00:10:36And even today, we've got a list of accolades from J.D. Power on quality as well as an appeal.
00:10:43And that continues and that helps us strive further.
00:10:46Because that is a never-ending achievement level.
00:10:51You always pursue to the next level of standards.
00:10:54At the same time, we also are working on expansion of our footprint across the country.
00:10:59We are available in more than 5,000 outlets across the country and expanding as we speak.
00:11:05Importantly today, we are also able to look at a large footprint of our products.
00:11:11And the next chart will talk about what all do we bring on to the marketplace.
00:11:14So if you look at it, we've got a wide range of products, like I said earlier, for different
00:11:21purpose and for different pockets.
00:11:24They serve a wide range.
00:11:26And this has been possible only because we are able to always understand consumer shifts,
00:11:31consumer patterns, and taking our journey along with this.
00:11:35Along with our products, we've also been very relentless on the focus of sustainability.
00:11:41And this is where more than 95% of the energy used in our corporations in India are from
00:11:48renewable sources.
00:11:50We are a water net, water positive enterprise as well.
00:11:5320% plus of diversity, women workforce at TVS.
00:11:58We also have 3% of specially abled employees in TVS.
00:12:02So what you see as products, and we've got an entire audience today of India and the globe,
00:12:08this is the powerhouse behind the product that you will experience tomorrow, and of course,
00:12:13right in the lap of the Himalayas.
00:12:16Moving on, I will also say, why are we looking at this new segment today?
00:12:22It's a very important segment to understand how the world is redefining itself and how the
00:12:28next generation is looking at the next steps.
00:12:30It's important to look at today, consumers are looking at what's in it for me.
00:12:37What is that unique experience that I can enrich myself with?
00:12:42It's also very interesting to understand that the consumer spending more than acquiring is
00:12:49an experience as well as enriching themselves.
00:12:52A 2x increase in consumer spend on experience, travel, not only after COVID, but the momentum
00:13:01has continued even beyond COVID now.
00:13:04We're talking about three to four years beyond COVID.
00:13:063x spends on tourism.
00:13:08And that helps us to understand that people want to explore new areas.
00:13:14Specifically in India, if you see, thanks to the government's effort on roads, with great roads,
00:13:21new reaches are possible now.
00:13:23Our consumers who are in the adventure terrain are able to reach out new markets.
00:13:29When I say markets, it would mean new areas they can explore and live their joy and their desire.
00:13:36North, south, east, west, you name it.
00:13:39So more roads means more accessibility to different terrain.
00:13:43Adventure tourism, 2x, and more importantly amongst all of them, is a personalized solution.
00:13:49And women and the team will talk about our products, how we are looking at also personalizing them
00:13:54for a consumer train.
00:13:57When we look at the adventure segment in India, particularly in India, of course globally as well,
00:14:03we are looking at when the motorcycle industry grew at about 10.4% over the last five years,
00:14:09the adventure segment in particular has grown at 27%, 2.6 times.
00:14:14So when we package all of this together, we look at a young India, we look at a population
00:14:22that is wanting to explore, that has the infrastructure to explore, that is willing to take on the risk,
00:14:30and when we bring all of it together, we look at bringing in the TVS RTX, and that is from grit to glory.
00:14:39So with that, I want to welcome our next partner on stage, Vimal, to talk about how we take things further.
00:14:46Thank you very much.
00:14:47Good evening, everyone.
00:14:56I hope the mic is working.
00:14:57How are you all?
00:14:59How was the adventure on the roads?
00:15:00They were called a starmac, right?
00:15:01I was told this is a very super highway, we come very fast.
00:15:04How was the adventure on the roads?
00:15:06Right?
00:15:06How many of you enjoyed on the four wheels?
00:15:09Come on, raise your hands, yeah?
00:15:10Right.
00:15:11Some of you enjoyed, some of you are not giving a smile also, right?
00:15:13Well, let me tell you that, guys, what are we going to do for next two, three days is going to shake the whole industry,
00:15:19is going to shake the way we ride motorcycles, the way we do adventure.
00:15:24We are going to make mountains little faster than they were before.
00:15:27So expect the mountains to be climbed fast, mountains to be travel fast, and tarmacs to be enjoyed more.
00:15:34So before I get into my presentation, I thought I'll just give you a little brief view about what's happening in the industry
00:15:40and what is this whole thing that we are trying to do today.
00:15:43at TES Moto Company and this is the first global launch of this motorcycle.
00:15:48And as you know, made in India and sold in more than 75 countries globally.
00:15:54So we'll introduce today a new way of motorcycling with all of you for the first time.
00:15:59So let me give a little brief about the industry.
00:16:02I hope this is working.
00:16:04Can you move the slide from there, please?
00:16:05So if you look at the global motorcycle industry of 150cc plus, roughly around 770,000 of them are being sold.
00:16:17And if you look at the CAGR of last five years, it has been growing at a rate of 9.1%.
00:16:22And when you look at domestic, we have been growing much faster than that, at around 10.4%.
00:16:27And if you look at 150cc plus, the contribution of this industry is now 26%.
00:16:33And that is the segment we are catering through with various product ranges, either from Apache or from Ronin.
00:16:39Our premium portfolio is currently built from our 160cc to 310cc platform.
00:16:47So this is a segment where overall, globally it is growing.
00:16:50Also in domestic level, it is growing.
00:16:53And within the segment, it is really, really contributing well.
00:16:56And if you look at the premium industry, that is 150cc plus, it is around 7 to 8 years back,
00:17:02it was contributing only 8% to the industry.
00:17:05Now it is contributing 16% to the two-wheeler industry in India.
00:17:08If you look in India, previously the motorcycles were only for commuting.
00:17:13Then over a period of time, we started understanding the format of motorcycling, right?
00:17:16We all have jeans, somebody has a tight jean, somebody has a loose jean, somebody has a boots cut,
00:17:21somebody wants to have hip hugger, somebody wants to have different type of jeans.
00:17:25Certainly there saw a range of motorcycles coming in India.
00:17:28Somebody wanted a naked, somebody wanted a super sport, somebody wanted an adventure,
00:17:31somebody wanted a rally tourer, somebody wanted a super sport.
00:17:34Certainly India has become a market where different people want different set of motorcycles.
00:17:40And that is how this industry has been growing.
00:17:42So from here, let us look at TES Motor Company and its pedigree as in Apache as in brand.
00:17:48I am very happy to share with each one of you here, we are celebrating 20 years of Apache, right?
00:17:54We recently had a celebration, we had a limited edition of 20 years of Apache.
00:17:59Very happy to share with you, we have 6.5 million Apache customers globally.
00:18:05And not only we have 6.5 million customers globally, we also have a strong legacy of 20 years plus.
00:18:12And when I was coming to this place and I was really thrilled and excited,
00:18:17there were only two set of products I saw on the road, right?
00:18:20One was either NTOC, 125, 150 or Apaches.
00:18:24So we kind of owned this place, we never claimed it.
00:18:27Today is our opportunity to claim this space.
00:18:29And that is why we chose this destination, we chose this location.
00:18:32And there is no better place than this to launch the new set of motorcycles,
00:18:36which I am sure you are going to enjoy today.
00:18:38So we sell Apache in more than 80 countries globally.
00:18:42And what is Apache built on?
00:18:43All of you know and most of you ride, right?
00:18:45It was built from a philosophy of track to road supermacy.
00:18:50The strong objective of TVS Motor Company was to democratize racing in India.
00:18:55Racing, few years back, was only limited to rich people, people who had a lot of money,
00:19:00who could afford to go to the racetracks, who could go abroad for training.
00:19:04We redefined the whole racing, we democratized the racing.
00:19:07We started in 2005 with Apache and we created a tribe.
00:19:10In 2009, we launched our one ATCC Apache.
00:19:132016, we are very proud, very happy to share with you, first OEM to have a factory woman racing team.
00:19:20Now I was told the Formula 1 will have by 2028.
00:19:22That is how India leads, right?
00:19:24Then in 2017, we bought our flagship brand called as RR310 to this world.
00:19:30In 2019, in the racing championship in India, RR stood as number one.
00:19:34In 2020, we started Asia One Make Racing Championship and Apache RTR, we launched in 2023 in Bangkok and today we are celebrating 20 years of Apache.
00:19:44You'll be wondering why we are talking about racing.
00:19:46What has it got to do with adventure?
00:19:48And I'm sure you know, we do dominate a track a lot, but we have a very, very strong legacy of rally racing also.
00:19:56And some of you know, some of you may not know.
00:19:57And that is the core from which the product which we are going to launch today is getting its inspiration from.
00:20:04So, if you look, TARMAX, we have really, really covered very well and really, really dominated them.
00:20:10In India, we have more than 80% podium wins.
00:20:13Ladies and gentlemen, we compete with the world's best OEMs when we go to the racing championships in India.
00:20:19And Apache stands tall with 80% plus podium wins.
00:20:22Now, what do we want to do?
00:20:24Why are we here?
00:20:25We wanted to bring grit, dust and endurance collide at one place together.
00:20:31That's what we are here for.
00:20:33I'm sure you all saw grit to glory, right?
00:20:35What does it mean to us?
00:20:37Why grit to glory?
00:20:38Why that branding?
00:20:39I'm sure over a period of time you will come to understand.
00:20:42We all want you to enjoy the beautiful motorcycles.
00:20:45We all want you to enjoy the real motorcycling in the way it should be enjoyed.
00:20:50And there's a lot of research, a lot of consumer research has been done before we got into this segment,
00:20:55before we develop this product.
00:20:57So, what product name we have for it?
00:21:01Can we move to the next slide, please?
00:21:04It's not moving.
00:21:04Yes.
00:21:06So, we know very well about racing because Apache stands for racing.
00:21:10This is our pedigree on rally racing, right?
00:21:14We have been in rally racing since 35.
00:21:17Rate the Himalayas.
00:21:18We have more than 20 national and international wins as a company.
00:21:21We have 10 years of presence in Dakar.
00:21:25We are the first Indian manufacturer to be in Dakar.
00:21:28We have two lovely factory racers who have won rally racing abroad, Aishwarya Prisay and Harit Noah.
00:21:35I can proudly tell you there's no other OEN which has this strong pedigree in this category.
00:21:41So, we dominate racing.
00:21:42We also dominate a lot in terms of rally.
00:21:46And this gives us a strength to develop the products which are very good engineered, which are very good designed and which are very high on performance.
00:21:53And I'm sure my motorcyclist friend, Babu I call motorcyclist friend because he's first a motorcyclist and then an R&D guy.
00:22:01So, we have a lot of tussles, a lot of debates about what is right and what is not wrong.
00:22:04And I'm sure we'll hear about it.
00:22:06We also have RGP with us who is the one man behind it as an NPD head who developed this product.
00:22:12I'm sure you'll hear from both of them.
00:22:15So, this is a very strong pedigree from where TVS, Apache, RTX stands from.
00:22:19So, this rally expertise helped us to think through how do we develop a category from there and how do we make it large.
00:22:28TVS has been known as a company to create a category, then dominate the category and own the category.
00:22:35And Gaurav spoke about it.
00:22:37We have a lot of product range.
00:22:38But if you look at our product range, every category is to a set of consumer.
00:22:43And every set of the consumer, then we dominate through our performance, through our designs or through the technology that we bring to the category.
00:22:52So, can you move the slide?
00:22:54Sorry, this is not working.
00:22:55So, global adventure industry, if you look at it, is roughly around 183,000 units.
00:23:00In that, 16% is the CAGR in the last 10 years.
00:23:04In fact, if you look at bigger bikes, which are more than 500 cc, 600 cc, that is the largest format in the world.
00:23:09And India is in the nascent stage of adventure.
00:23:13And I believe, and we strongly believe as a company, the product we are going to launch is going to expand this segment, grow this segment, bring newer set of consumers.
00:23:21And India is at 22% contribution to the global adventure industry.
00:23:25From here, if you look at the consumer trends, what are happening in the market, people are no more buying the products.
00:23:34People are buying the experience.
00:23:35If you look at the tourism, global tourism, this was the data from Forbes, 50% is the growth in the mountain tourism.
00:23:41And all of you would have seen it, while coming up the hills, a few years back, there were a few of the establishments there.
00:23:47And now you can see every nook and corner, houses, restaurants, experiential zones.
00:23:52There is a 2x growth in the adventure riding community in India and globally.
00:23:57There is 2x growth in the adventure tourism.
00:23:59Adventure tourism is becoming a big vertical.
00:24:01And there is a growth of 2x in the rentals.
00:24:06There are a lot of rental programs.
00:24:07Then you go to Leh, you go to Ladakh, you go to Manali, you go to Down South.
00:24:11There are a lot of rental companies.
00:24:12This is growing.
00:24:13So the ecosystem is right for us.
00:24:15One is the size of the industry is very right for us.
00:24:17The growth in the segment is becoming very good for us.
00:24:20And the consumers who are going to consume are also looking forward for much experiential product.
00:24:25And this gives a great opportunity for TES to be there.
00:24:28And that is why the entry today, that is why we are here to launch the product.
00:24:33If you look at these people, if you look at the people who are getting into motorcycles, what do they want?
00:24:38They are purely looking to explore on two wheels.
00:24:41There is no better way to explore.
00:24:43India, beautiful terrains, except on two wheels, right?
00:24:46They endure.
00:24:47They really, really endure to get the best.
00:24:49And they elevate.
00:24:50They are very, very settled in their life what they want from the motorcycle.
00:24:54So very clear definition in terms of where they want, in terms of the product, or in terms of their emotion.
00:25:00If you look forward in terms of the terrains they are looking at, they are looking at the terrains in the same way.
00:25:06The way they are exhibiting their personality in their day-to-day work.
00:25:11They really want to explore.
00:25:12They want to endure.
00:25:13They want to elevate.
00:25:14And we are here to elevate this experience and take them to the next level of motorcycling with the kind of the product we are going to launch today.
00:25:22So if we look at creating categories, I kept on saying, and Gaurav had a very good definition about it.
00:25:28That TVS has been at helm of creating categories and dominating.
00:25:311993 we launched Kuti.
00:25:33Today every tool here in India is called as Kuti.
00:25:36Like we know in water bottling, every mineral water is called as Bicillery, right?
00:25:41Similarly in 2005 we created a tribe.
00:25:44We have 6.5 million Apache users.
00:25:46In 2022 we created a category in modern retro and we today are selling close to around 7,000, 7,500 units per month.
00:25:54And we have more than 100,000 happy customers in this category.
00:25:57And today again we will redefine and create a category and over a period of time it dominated.
00:26:03So two formats of adventure.
00:26:07Any adventure destination in the world, we came to Himachal, we go to Shimla, we go to Leh Ladakh, 80 to 85% of the journey is on tarmac, 15 to 20% is on your adventure part.
00:26:20So if you look at the market over there and we look at the consumers, they were looking at a perfect combination of having a bike which they have fun on the tarmac, on the road when they ride, on their day to day work.
00:26:33At the same time the bike is capable to do touring, the bike is able to do off-roading, the bike is able to do rally.
00:26:40This is the sweet spot in which we are going to today position our Apache RTX and this is called as the Adventure Rally Tourer.
00:26:48Perfect combination where a guy, the customer who is riding this motorcycle is just going to ride a motorcycle.
00:26:54He doesn't have to really worry whether he is on a tarmac or on an adventure road.
00:26:59He is just going to enjoy the fun of motorcycling.
00:27:02And I am sure when you ride this motorcycle, none of you will give this bike back to us.
00:27:06I am sure most of you want to ride it back to your own hometowns with a bike.
00:27:10So this is what we will today be talking about.
00:27:14The consumers who are for this product are thrill seekers.
00:27:16They really want thrill.
00:27:17They want power.
00:27:18They want talk.
00:27:19They want power to weight ratios.
00:27:20They want technology.
00:27:22They are very inquisitive.
00:27:23They are wanderers.
00:27:23They want to wander.
00:27:24And we call these people as discoverers.
00:27:27This is the new category where we are targeting the consumers.
00:27:31Let us see who are they, where they are from, what do they do in day to day life.
00:27:34And what is this motorcycle today we are going to launch for whom?
00:27:38Who are these consumers?
00:27:39Can you have the AV please?
00:27:40Boundaries, borders, white lines on tarmac.
00:27:47Some see them as limits.
00:27:49But for others, they are reminders to break free.
00:27:53Because glory is not found in comfort zones.
00:27:56It lies beyond them.
00:27:58Where some sense fear, they hear the calling of grit.
00:28:03For some, each mile is exploration.
00:28:08Every turn is an escape.
00:28:10They chase the horizon, finding glory in their endless journeys and the stories they collect along the way.
00:28:18They ride not to conquer the world, but to discover themselves in it.
00:28:23And some, they ride not to escape the grind, but to unwind.
00:28:31Helmet on, visor down, visor down, and throttle open.
00:28:37They ride for the quick getaways.
00:28:39To unite with their brotherhood at dawn, and to find glory in the act of breaking the routine.
00:28:45But no matter who you are, if adventure is your compass, and adrenaline is your fuel, then it is time to turn your grit to glory.
00:28:57So, this is the kind of the consumer we are getting into it.
00:29:01And we were in naked as we spoke about.
00:29:03We are in super sports as we spoke about.
00:29:05And we are going to enter this category.
00:29:07And we have a 20 years dominance through design, technology, and performance in Apache as a mother, as a core brand for TVS.
00:29:15So, I will invite now my colleague Babu San to talk about the whole engineering part of it.
00:29:22As this whole proposition of the bike is guided by one vision, is to make the spirit of exploration visible.
00:29:31It is currently not visible.
00:29:32We want to make it visible.
00:29:33We want to see more motorcyclists on the road.
00:29:35We want to see this becoming a very, very large segment.
00:29:38And I think there is no other product category available in this segment where we would love to grow the segment and get more and more riders into this category.
00:29:46So, before I hand over to Babu San, I am going to explain to you, Apache is a mother brand for it.
00:29:53Rally is R, stands for Rally, which is Rally inspired uncompromised riding experience.
00:30:00This is what we own.
00:30:01The ergonomics, the way you ride this bike is very, very uncompromised for your adventure as well as when you do tarmac riding.
00:30:08It is a beautiful bike to ride in all terrains at all the times.
00:30:14So, second element of it is the tourer.
00:30:17So, it is engineered for adventure and tailored for all day touring comfort.
00:30:21So, a lot of people want to go tour for a longer distance.
00:30:25They must enjoy.
00:30:26They must have fun.
00:30:27And this has been kept in mind.
00:30:28And that is the second pillar of it.
00:30:30So, where one pillar is Rally, second pillar as a tourer and third pillar as an extreme.
00:30:35So, it is sturdy, it is agile and always in control.
00:30:39It is built for any terrain.
00:30:41That is the strength of this product which we are going to launch.
00:30:43So, it is an Apache Rally Tourer Xtreme what we are going to launch today.
00:30:48And I know most of us were waiting to have it.
00:30:51So, that is the product we are going to launch today.
00:30:53I am very happy to share with you as we are talking, there are 300,000 online motorcycle enthusiasts watching it.
00:31:01Can we have a big round of applause for the motorcycle enthusiasts who really, really want to see this product and have been waiting to get a beautiful motorcycle from the house of TVS.
00:31:10So, now I invite Babu-san onto the stage to take us through the details.
00:31:13Good evening.
00:31:29It is a pleasure hosting you all here at TEOG.
00:31:32As the new experience of adventure motorcycling unfolds with all of us here today and those 300,000 motorcycle enthusiasts watching online.
00:31:45I am happy to share with you some of the work that we did in the back end.
00:31:51What did we do to create this all new Apache RTX that promises the new elevated experience of adventure motorcycling.
00:32:00As Vimal spoke, as Gaurav mentioned, TVS is known to be championing motorsports, not only the circuit races but also the rallies.
00:32:13So, from the championing of these races and rallies for decades, it is only natural for the DNA to flow in in creating this all new motorcycle that is out here to bring the spirit of racing as reborn for adventure.
00:32:30When we look at creating such product with so much of experience, it is just not enough.
00:32:38Because as we assembled the crew of designers and engineers to start creating this, we wanted
00:32:45them to impregnate the adventure, the feel of off-road riding in every grain of their brain.
00:32:52And that group of designers and engineers were put through a formal off-road training and that's what you see some of the snapshots.
00:33:00They were put through off-road riding training and the kind of joy and experience that each one had got into their blood cells as they thought ideated to define, design and develop this product.
00:33:12And that's what we see as an outcome today.
00:33:16Let me start with the design.
00:33:20A motorcycle is something that has to look nice and sexy and then as you sit on it, open throttle, it should ride great.
00:33:28But for an adventure motorcycle, it becomes even more important for the form and emotion that it would kindle, that it would invite us to go out on that adventure and exploration.
00:33:38And Apache RTX is conceived with a unique mono-volume design.
00:33:44The headlamp, the fuel tank flows as a unit body, giving that mass center feel and the presence that is commanding and assertive as it stands to face any challenge that comes as we explore on the bike.
00:33:59And the whole philosophy of being substantial and purposeful is not just the decorative look, but that's what it is meant, as you see in the details to come.
00:34:12This is a motorcycle that's conceived to be living for one vision.
00:34:19That is what has guided for all the design and the engineering to make the spirit of exploration visible and tangible.
00:34:26Every surface, every line that was drawn by the designers as they iterated over sketches and then realized it in the three-dimensional digital sculpted mock-up and the physical mock-up.
00:34:39Every stage, every step.
00:34:41What did we iterate upon is to make every surface and line speak of exploration.
00:34:46It's at home, over the mountain ranges, as we sit here and nicely experience this weather, or on the unwinding trails that one would want to go after.
00:34:57And it's also the perfect companion, be it day or night.
00:35:01The whole thing is about riding, riding and experiencing the whole world in a new way.
00:35:06This vision that has sculpted the surface and the body, as we would see later part in the engineering, how it merges into the engineering details,
00:35:20a standing out element here is the levitating reflectors and the light blades that express a strong character while they are extremely made functional.
00:35:29That's one of the reasons I did call out in the previous slide about the starry nights and exploring the adventure even in the nights.
00:35:36And the whole color palette, as you would see later, is inspired by nature.
00:35:42Be it the mountains, the solid earth that we stand upon, the blue sky that opens up new possibilities,
00:35:48all inspiration that comes from the nature of the colors that we would love to experience.
00:35:53The whole experience is intuitive on this motorcycle.
00:35:58Whether it's the interface on the dashboard or the throttle response or the way you would mount on the bike
00:36:05to feel natural yourself as being part of the machine, the whole experience is designed to be intuitive.
00:36:12At heart, it is the first engine to come out of our new platform.
00:36:17It's the RTX D4 engine that we unveiled in the last Motorsoul.
00:36:21This all-new engine as a platform is created to build several such possible motorcycles
00:36:28that will set new standards for the experience that the rider would get.
00:36:33The XD4 engine gets its name and also its great glory from the four key technologies,
00:36:41dual oil pump, dual jacket cooling, dual separator breather and dual overhead cam with downdraft ports.
00:36:49This is a bokeh that was put together to bring a whole new experience of how this engine responds
00:36:58with different terrains, different demands from the rider.
00:37:01It's a 299-300cc motorcycle, 6-speed slick quickshifter, bi-directional quickshifter
00:37:07that delivers 36 PS at 9000 RPM and 28.5 Nm at 7000 RPM.
00:37:14The more of it comes later as to why would this engine be delivering such a great riding experience.
00:37:19The whole theme of getting this engine out on the road is to make the power delivery very linear.
00:37:29We can chase something that has a peak of who I am, what the max that I can do, but that I can do once, twice.
00:37:37I can do on a chosen moment, but who I am is built of all through my life in all the undoes that I do.
00:37:46When it comes to a motorcycle, we want to ride it all through terrains, we want to ride it in all the conditions,
00:37:52be it a dense traffic, be it an open highway.
00:37:54So the linear power delivery over widest band is what this engine is engineered to bring up.
00:38:02And that is brought with a lot of accessible low-end torque as the adventure and rally tourer would demand.
00:38:10And all that is available at tap with a 6-speed that's quickshift.
00:38:14You just keep shifting and going.
00:38:16The precise off-road control is again something that we have been very mindful coming from our rich rally experience.
00:38:22Because the rally rider, like the circuit racing, the rally rider also gets moments where it's a surprise not just by the other competing rider,
00:38:33but what the Mother Earth brings in front of his front wheel.
00:38:36And there are conditions where he has to face that completely unplanned and unexpected.
00:38:42So the control of the whole motorcycle, the response from the engine, the way the technology can intervene to help the rider to support,
00:38:50the brake, the suspension, the dynamics.
00:38:53So that's something that we have focused quite a lot to bring this motorcycle's ability to offer that new experience.
00:38:59And technologies like dual-jacket cooling, it's both water cooling and oil cooling, and the assistant slipper clutch,
00:39:06is all brought in tweaked to give that consistent performance not only through different terrains but also throughout the day,
00:39:15throughout the night, whichever part of the time and whatever time of duration that we want to ride continuously.
00:39:20This engine is embedded with a unique technology.
00:39:27It's a plasma spray coating on the cylinder block liner.
00:39:31And this coating was conceived, co-developed with our supplier partner to bring in very high durability.
00:39:38The way the coating works is with micro pores on the surface, and it's a very, very carefully prepared base surface on which the plasma coating is done.
00:39:49And the micro pores absorb the oil, lower the friction, enhances the engine's response,
00:39:55and the performance is more instant while it extends the whole life of the engine and also the oil life is extended quite a lot.
00:40:03What that means is that the oil stays consistent for a longer period, more mileages to ride.
00:40:09And the whole engine operation also is much quieter with a very good quality of experience.
00:40:14There are pieces of engineering, I didn't want to take one hour to bring all of them here, but the highlights, there are pieces of engineering, the details that have gone in.
00:40:29To quote a few here, we have chosen a two-way thermostat that acts in both the ways to quickly warm up the engine
00:40:36but also keep the engine thermal performance consistent throughout the operating range.
00:40:39The assistant slipper clutch is known, but there is an innovation in this particular engine where the segments in the clutch plates are made leaner,
00:40:49and then there are focused oil jets that spray on the clutch, and that makes the whole control of the clutch a lot more precise,
00:40:57giving very good feedback and having zero drag when you want that fine control all through the terrains.
00:41:02The crank train is tuned up with a higher inertia that makes the engine to crawl with much more ease as you have very mild throttle openings.
00:41:13As you regulate the throttle, be it on a nice corner, taking a corner at 90 plus kilometers per hour,
00:41:20or on a sand patch with 3-4 kilometers per hour to go and regulate wherever it is that high-inertia crank train response is so calibrated that there is no surprise.
00:41:30You are fully in sync with the machine, the machine is fully talking to you all through.
00:41:35And as I mentioned before, it is not only on the clutch but also in several key parts of the engine where there are moving parts,
00:41:42we have carved targeted oil jets leveraging on our extensive capability of computational fluid dynamics simulation,
00:41:50where the complete engine is simulated and the oil flow is metered with several oil jets and that helps with hydrodynamic bearing.
00:41:58The oil film forms a very effective hydrodynamic bearing.
00:42:03We could eliminate some of the normal bearings and that reduces again the inertial masses, improves the response of the engine all through the range.
00:42:10A good engine that is performing excellent, delivering excellent torque and power, it should also be pleasing to the ears as motorcyclists.
00:42:18We love the music, the grunt of the engine and that is also something that we are known to be for.
00:42:25So we leveraged all of our experiences, did all the advanced modeling and carved in something that is so nice, you have to only hear the machine speak to you tomorrow and that is music to ears as you open throttle.
00:42:37Thermal management is another important aspect when it comes to performance motorcycling.
00:42:45It is on different conditions that the thermal challenges creep in.
00:42:49So as I said before, the two way thermostat does an important job.
00:42:54We have coined in the intelligent air flow, not only on the radiator but also the hot air that blows out of the engine.
00:43:01That makes sure that the engine runs at optimum temperature, it warms up quickly, it runs at optimum temperatures but also as we crawl through dense traffic.
00:43:12Today it is nice, comfortable here with this weather probably to keep something warm.
00:43:17But when you have to ride in Delhi in the traffic, in the hot summer, it also matters a lot that I don't burn my thighs.
00:43:24So that is our patented duct and deflector system that goes to keep the rider cool and the engine runs cool as well.
00:43:30And this improved thermal performance helps also for superior long distance touring comfort and the comfortability of commuting on a daily basis.
00:43:41In adventure touring and in rally, the throttle control is something that is of immense importance for the rider.
00:43:48Because it is not just about being only linear, it is not about being available on tap but also how precisely can it respond.
00:43:56A lot of work went in again here in looking into how we can tweak every portion of the engine operating zone.
00:44:04So the combustion, whatever is the turbulence that happens inside, it is all calibrated not just by only the fueling and ignition timing but also by the way the fuel flows in.
00:44:14So that intelligent combustion with the turbulence control throughout the operating range.
00:44:21And the torque map has got different torque filters and intelligence is built in based on which gear we are riding in.
00:44:29It is not the same in all the gears.
00:44:30And what that delivers is a very linear throttle response and a very smooth engine braking as you close the throttle,
00:44:37how much you want to meter on a corner as you slow down and take that corner off and a very predictable power delivery as we go on.
00:44:46What does it result in?
00:44:50All of this engineering that has gone in.
00:44:53I tried mapping to give some point of reference.
00:44:56As there are good motorcycles out there, all of us ride, we enjoy every motorcycle, it doesn't matter what that motorcycle is.
00:45:03But then each one stands for something of its own.
00:45:06Each motorcycle brings something that is nice.
00:45:07And when we have set out to create this motorcycle to give an elevated and differentiated experience,
00:45:14we were for sure to give something that is standing tall above what the others could offer.
00:45:20You can see the typical power curve, the wheel traction force that finally translates into.
00:45:26There are bikes that are delivering something that is flat all throughout but not enough.
00:45:31And there are bikes which give out some nice peak RPMs and narrow band, a typical of a racing motorcycle that you can keep yourself at that operating range and keep revving at full.
00:45:43But what they miss out is to give that widest experience.
00:45:47And where does Apache RTX stand?
00:45:50A lot of accessible torque translating into traction force in the low end at your command.
00:45:56And as the torque and power race through the range, you get a very linear, smooth increase that makes the whole ride enjoyable on a free road.
00:46:07As you open up the throttle, it just takes you to the open sky.
00:46:11And the peak performance is also available over a very wide band.
00:46:15And that makes the whole experience of riding fantastic.
00:46:18And if we are to chase some numbers, if we are to look at how fast can I go, you can see in this graph, sorry that the fonts are too small and not readable.
00:46:30Neither for me as though I am standing close, but it's to talk about 0 to 60, 30 to 60 and 30 to 90.
00:46:37How you pass by to overtake, how you speed up when you see the free stretch and how you do a stand start acceleration.
00:46:42Such a nice engine ready to go, we need to give compliments to the engine by carrying it on a wonderful vehicle architecture, a chassis that's equally capable.
00:46:56The way we wanted to define this motorcycle at the beginning is to give it a character to bring the spirit of adventure.
00:47:04Effortless ride, adventure need not be punishing, adventure need not be inaccessible.
00:47:12It does not have to mean that I have to be an expert to experience life in full.
00:47:17And so we wanted to make it effortless.
00:47:19Rally touring focused, so that we can enjoy exploring places as the roads open up and as places open up where there are no roads.
00:47:28So rally touring focused.
00:47:29It's not just about being easy but also being precise, precise in connecting back to the rider, giving all the connect all the time.
00:47:38Stable and comfortable.
00:47:40It's not that all out all the time I'm going to be at my peak.
00:47:43There are times on a long day that I would like to sit and relax, enjoy the breeze that's flowing over my head as I ride through the motorcycle.
00:47:50So the various dynamics of the motorcycle just call out the two dominant modes here, V1 Wobble.
00:47:57We looked at, again with the advanced simulations, the whole dynamics of the motorcycle where it has to be fast and agile as you pass through very tight corners in mountain roads.
00:48:07It has to be very nice stable on the sweeping corners on a highway and it should be fantastically stable as we go on straight highways with full throttle also coming later about the cruise control.
00:48:20So all of the dynamics was carefully chosen and coined through various elements of the chassis design.
00:48:25This motorcycle is built with a strong steel trellis frame mated to an aluminium die cast swing-arm.
00:48:34We have a patented technology, we call it a synchro stiff chassis.
00:48:39It matters a lot to get a right matching where the front wheel connects at the steering pivot to where the rear wheel connects at the swing-arm pivot.
00:48:46The stiffness matters from that end to this end, the front axle to rear axle.
00:48:53So that stiffness also flows through in sections, it's not one number of the whole structure responding.
00:48:59Because when the dynamics are at play to different speeds as we operate, different terrains, the point of twist keeps changing.
00:49:07So that's why it's important to have a good synchronous stiffness across the chassis structure to make the whole machine and the man feel like one.
00:49:16And that offers exceptional stability with effortless handling.
00:49:22Motorcycle is all about us as riders and we want to enjoy the machine and we want the machine to do everything that we want.
00:49:30And we don't want the machine to be dictating anything to us.
00:49:35And the whole approach has been on human-centric design.
00:49:39The way an adventure rider would want to enjoy.
00:49:43There are multiple Porsches that one can do.
00:49:46A comfortable relaxed sitting, stand up to conquer the terryl.
00:49:50And also sometimes you sit back and relax with a very large roomy seat.
00:49:54And so the whole ergonomics is completely mapped for all the kind of seating Porsches that we would want to experience.
00:50:01And touring could also mean I have a lovely pillion along as a company.
00:50:05So the seat is spacious to carry the pillion along as a friend and enjoy the tour.
00:50:10And it's catering to the 5th to 95th percentile of the complete rider range.
00:50:16The chassis has the key elements.
00:50:18It's an upside down 41 inches cartridge front fork and that comes with adjustable damping as we would want to tweak.
00:50:27The damping range is up to 30 percent of damping variation both in compression and rebound damping.
00:50:33The rear is with a monotube floating piston.
00:50:36The piston is not a banded piston but it's coated with PTFE to make the response very instantaneous.
00:50:40It's gas charged shocker that helps us ride on any road for the good feedback but also filtering out all the shocks that we don't want to experience.
00:50:51The tyres are again something that we have specifically worked on be the tread pattern and also a special polymer.
00:50:58It's a tri-polymer that is injected into making this tyre something special that can ride excellent on asphalt but also on the off-road as we go on.
00:51:06And a 320 millimetres diameter pedal disc at the front and that comes with a lot of power but not instantaneous but a very linear progressive response.
00:51:18We have done something very special innovative in the hydraulics of both suspension and the brakes to give that very linear and progressive response with a very close loop feedback to the rider.
00:51:28All of this makes this whole bike fantastic and we have also decided to bring technology that adds to the fun that aids further experiences and the beginners to have mind free worry free experience as they quickly become masters of the bike.
00:51:46So the RT LSE the linear stability control as we branded it that has a bouquet of technologies.
00:51:56The anti-lock brake system it's not just about preventing the wheel lock alone but it also enhances the stability and control in extreme terrains.
00:52:03So there are different modes of the ABS we have spent kilometres and kilometres of riding in asphalt and in off-roads to bring this rally mode, urban mode and rain mode distinctly different when it comes to the ABS calibration to bring that precision response.
00:52:20The RT LSE comes with traction control.
00:52:23Here again the traction control works so precisely that there is a rally mode that is set for facing the grit on the dirt and the gravel and the mud.
00:52:34While also an excellent precision when the road is wet it's a good asphalt solid ground but the road is wet.
00:52:40So there are two different modes that you get on the traction control.
00:52:43There is cruise control without which I don't think I can enjoy a day full of riding for a tour so I don't have to keep my throttle open at 120 kilometres per hour.
00:52:54I switch on the cruise and keep experiencing the brace that passes through.
00:52:59So for long adventure touring the cruise control is built.
00:53:02The differentiation that again comes in this bike is the intelligence that is built in because we did extensive real world data collection and the whole tuning has been done to make the cruise control available.
00:53:13through widest using range.
00:53:16The rally ABS and the traction control has got so much of detail I will not bore you into the technical details today but tomorrow when you ride you can experience how this controls are less intrusive but connecting back to us as riders how it adds to the experience that we have.
00:53:38So there are four ride modes.
00:53:40There is tour, there is rally, there is urban and there is rain.
00:53:45For the engine there are two operating modes.
00:53:51One that aids us on the tour and rally and for urban and rain it's trimmed down, it is mellowed down.
00:54:00And on the ABS there are three modes and on the traction control there are two modes.
00:54:05That as a combination makes four different ride modes that you can choose depending on that day's terrain that you want to conquer or the mood with which you want to ride on that day.
00:54:14TVS Smart X Connect makes the product, the motorcycle and the biker stay connected all through wherever you go.
00:54:24It's first ever in the segment four wheeler like multi channel connectivity of Bluetooth.
00:54:29You get hands free voice and music control.
00:54:32You can get also the TPMS talking all the time through the Bluetooth.
00:54:37There is map mirroring, it's the first time in the segment that from the phone you can run the map.
00:54:42And the GoPro control also connects through the Bluetooth.
00:54:45So it's fully loaded that I don't have to search for anything but stay on the bike and keep going.
00:54:51And of course there is a digi doc transfer that comes on board for the documents that I have to carry on the way.
00:54:59The UI UX is again done keeping in mind the whole experience that has to be consistent with the character of the bike
00:55:07and the character of the person who wants to experience this world.
00:55:11So the distinct background themes have been built in for each mode to give that intuitive experience.
00:55:17There are smart controls on the handle bar.
00:55:23I don't have to take my hands off for anything as I write.
00:55:27And the controls come handy while I write.
00:55:30There is an intelligent intensity control that is built on the headlamp as the speed increases in the night.
00:55:36When I explore the starry night, the intensity keeps increasing as the speed goes up.
00:55:41And all the other controls that I need while I am on the way is viable.
00:55:45So there is no more single handwriting because I have to reach out to something.
00:55:51The whole experience of connected is something that is done keeping in mind.
00:55:56How can we elevate again the whole experience?
00:55:59Powered by Google, it's always on, always connected and a lot of engineering that has gone in.
00:56:06When you do the map mirroring that the lag is more or less at zero.
00:56:10That you get instantaneous changes on the display that makes the experience seamless.
00:56:15As I said before, the UI UX is specially designed for this adventure touring motorcycle.
00:56:21The experience is something that goes with the character.
00:56:25The expeditions can be personalized.
00:56:27There are widgets that you can choose and configure.
00:56:31The whole convenience out of the connected ride is something that is unmatched.
00:56:36It will be very intuitive.
00:56:37You can wait through the different scenes and choose your configurations as you want.
00:56:42And it also adds to a responsible, safe riding throughout the usage of the bike.
00:56:49The smart X-Connect offers a lot of standard features.
00:56:54Lost park location as I wander into the wild.
00:56:58Advanced ride analytics when I want to look back and then see what did I do and what can I do better tomorrow.
00:57:04Navigation assist with map mirroring.
00:57:06Staying informed of the weather where I get in and the other things that I would love to.
00:57:12Alerts and vehicle information.
00:57:14All of that at the top of a button.
00:57:16So that's the whole engineering package which we have put as an endover to bring this all new motorcycle.
00:57:26Let me call upon Mr. RG Periaswamy, our Executive Vice President, New Product to speak about how did we get on this journey with.
00:57:36Thank you.
00:57:41Thank you.
00:57:43Thank you, Babu.
00:57:45So all of you heard about the great journey, right?
00:57:48So excited to see the bike.
00:57:50So a few minutes on the journey so far.
00:57:52How we built this product.
00:57:54So it all began on one fine day when 100 of our people with great grit and passion sat together to define, deliver and develop a product which is debuting as Apache RTX today.
00:58:11So this machine is going to make a new charter with liberating and unparalleled performance in the area of adventure.
00:58:24This is a set of carefully chosen technologies and also the new features bundled together to create a completely new tech features which you will all love as you go forward.
00:58:42Wish you all a very happy and adventurous riding. Thank you.
00:58:45Rikos Vimal back on the stage please to take this forward.
00:58:49Hi, good evening all. When I left there were around 300,000 people and I was told just now there are 485,000 views on the YouTube.
00:59:09So big round of applause for all the design engineers who have made such a beautiful motorcycle.
00:59:13I know it's very cold out here. Can we have a big round of applause for all of us being here to enjoy motorcycling.
00:59:18This will make you a little warmer. I know this is a little bit cold here.
00:59:21It should make us a little warm. I am sure tomorrow is going to be fun.
00:59:24I was riding this motorcycle on the route. We are going to send you tomorrow. We have put certain set of riders into certain set of the routes.
00:59:31I know Varun is looking at me. We wanted to see who is going to do what on the motorcycle saga.
00:59:35You know, we thought we must test and see how people are going to ride and enjoy the motorcycle tomorrow, right?
00:59:40It's going to be fun of a day, right? So before I step on to the beautiful motorcycle we are going to unveil, right?
00:59:46I was telling other day to Sean and Vikas, they have been working on this product, that it takes us 90 minutes to launch the product.
00:59:52It takes almost three years to make this motorcycle. And hundreds of engineers who work at the back end, hundreds of vendors who work to create these parts.
00:59:59It's such a beautiful journey to make such a wonderful motorcycle. But in 90 minutes we are trying to say in a gist what this motorcycle is all about.
01:00:07So not only are we launching today a beautiful motorcycle, we are going to launch set of accessories which are collaborated with GD, the world's best in terms of its range of products.
01:00:17I hope it works. Yes, it's working. So we have our own, I'm going to skip this because Babu-san spent a lot of time on this in terms of the riding, in terms of the performance, in terms of the design.
01:00:29So if you look at this total combination of the motorcycle, this is a full package. There is no compromise.
01:00:36This is going to redefine the segment. As I spoke in the beginning, the segment is going to be redefined with Apache RTX.
01:00:42Trust me, this is going to redefine the way we define the Apache in the sports segment, right? We are a leading brand as we said.
01:00:49I would love you to take a photograph of it. And when you ride tomorrow, please enjoy these. All technologies, we are talking about it.
01:00:56And give us the feedback at the end of the day. Did you enjoy bi-directional quickshifter? Did you enjoy all the riding modes?
01:01:03So that we will know from your feedback whether we did a good job or we need to improve further, right?
01:01:08So, RTX has its own brand world. We have Apache as a mother brand. Then we have RTR there, which is in the naked segment and RR in the super support segment.
01:01:18We are creating this brand world because this is for those set of consumers who are looking for something which is very differentiated, which is very, very different.
01:01:25So, we have a set of RTX accessories in terms of all the things that they need for doing the touring.
01:01:32And these are collaborated with GD. We have got pannier boxes, tank bags and the top boxes.
01:01:37So, very, very nicely designed and developed and it took a good amount of time to develop these.
01:01:42We got a safety protection also because we know you are going to follow your bikes.
01:01:45There is a bash plate, crash guard and knuckle guard. Ladies and gentlemen, this bike is really built for riding into all the terrains.
01:01:52And I am sure tomorrow when you take this bike out, don't worry whether you fall or whether you don't fall, the bike is going to take care of you.
01:01:59So, enjoy the riding. So, in terms of, it is not moving. So, we have comfort and convenience because we are going to do touring on it.
01:02:07So, really, really wanted people to go for a longer tour and if you look at the seat, if you look at the satellite,
01:02:13if you look at the weight, its comfort in riding is there, the ergonomics is there on top of it, you get a rear hugger,
01:02:20you get a, you know, your USB charger and all to top and make this motorcycle a perfect motorcycle for you to ride.
01:02:26In terms of the apparel, we are making its own collection because in adventure you really need your apparels
01:02:32which should be absolutely able to get into dirt, get you out of the dirt, be all weather and take care of your protection.
01:02:39So, this is also developed along with Alpinestars. So, we have a good collection here.
01:02:43We have got dual sport helmets, we have got adventure riding shoes, jackets and touring pants.
01:02:48And I am sure once we launch the bike, you will be able to see some of them here as well.
01:02:52So, not only are we launching motorcycles, we are also launching our apparel and accessories to go with it.
01:02:58What is the beauty of TVS Motors Company? We are the only company which does racing as a program.
01:03:04We don't only do racing to build a brand, we also want to make motor sports democratized in India.
01:03:10Every town, every city, most of the journalists, I was giving recent specs, 75% of the auto journalists are trained in one or the other program of TVS Racing.
01:03:20Right? Very happy, very proud of it. We have trained more than 3000 racers.
01:03:24We have got 1000 of women racers participants in it.
01:03:28And we are the first Indian manufacturer to have one mix series.
01:03:32So, we have great riding racing academy.
01:03:35What we needed now is to create on this strong pedigree, the knowledge and the know-how, a TVS Adventure Academy.
01:03:42We will be creating this academy. We want people to enjoy motorcycles.
01:03:46We want them to enjoy the full of motorcycling, not just get on the bike and say, I want to ride.
01:03:52I have to drive. I have to take them in the bucket list.
01:03:54But how to drive there, many people know.
01:03:57Someone learns to go, someone learns to go, someone learns to go, someone learns to go.
01:04:01We are going to create a structured program about Adventure Training Academy.
01:04:06And we are going to put people out there and grow this.
01:04:09Are you happy with this?
01:04:10Yet another great initiative from TGS Motor Company.
01:04:13Not only making a product, not only making accessories, sorry.
01:04:16Not only making apparel, but creating an ecosystem to make this segment grow in India.
01:04:21Because we believe this is a segment which should grow in India and should become a bigger world.
01:04:26So, from this, what are we doing? Sorry. Can you move on the slide please?
01:04:35So, in top of it, what we are doing, there is an academy.
01:04:39This will be spread over various zones in India.
01:04:41We will start like we started slide schools and we will take it to other parts of the world.
01:04:45What is unique and different about TVS is this slide ladies and gentlemen.
01:04:49It is about, we make motorcycles which are connected and we do connected experiences.
01:04:55We have connected devices with our Smart X-Connect.
01:04:58We have connected riders through our Smart X-Connect riding devices.
01:05:02We also have a riding community being put on Kogo.
01:05:06We have 450,000 Apache customers connected with us on Kogo.
01:05:11So, we are the only brand out there which is completely into a connected ecosystem
01:05:16from a bike to a rider to a community to a place where they can go
01:05:20and experience the motorcycle at an overall level.
01:05:23Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time, here we are going to launch Apache RTX.
01:05:29This is, I thought I must unveil the colors first.
01:05:35So, this is one of my favorites.
01:05:37So, Viper Green is one of the colors.
01:05:40The second color is the Tarn Bronze.
01:05:42So, every inspiration of the color is come from adventure.
01:05:46This has come from those deserts.
01:05:48This has come from those tarmacs.
01:05:49This has come from those brown mountains in Himalayas.
01:05:53This has come from all of us who are riding.
01:05:55We are all motorcyclists, right?
01:05:56We all ride.
01:05:57We all see these colors.
01:05:58We wanted to bring these colors in terms of motorcycle colors so that people can connect with it.
01:06:04We have metallic blue which is very, very unique and most of you when you step out in the morning in the bright sun, you can see this color.
01:06:11And, you know, we chose this location for a precise reason that you are on the top of a mountain.
01:06:16Only place where you can talk to sky and the clouds.
01:06:19And only place where you are going to launch RTX where you are going to enjoy the full level of motorcycling in the adventure segment altogether.
01:06:26Lightning black.
01:06:29This is one of the beautiful black.
01:06:32I am sure you are going to enjoy it today.
01:06:33So, it is a beautiful range of the colors that we will be launching today in front of all of you.
01:06:39And pearl white.
01:06:41I think this is really, really beautiful color in this segment we have.
01:06:47So, can we have the AV please?
01:06:51The AV please.
01:07:21In the mountains, you're on a different trip.
01:07:27You don't conquer a mountain.
01:07:33You overcome yourself.
01:07:36If you pack one thing, pack grit.
01:07:43It's grit that pushes you forward when gravity pulls you down.
01:07:49It's grit that keeps you warm when fear numbs you.
01:07:56It's grit that fuels your trip.
01:08:02Grit that keeps you up.
01:08:07Wakes you up.
01:08:12And shakes you up.
01:08:18It's grit that keeps doing it.
01:08:21It's grit that says you can.
01:08:23When common sense screams you shouldn't.
01:08:25It's grit that carries you to the top.
01:08:43...to bask in the golden dawn of glory.
01:08:57TVS Apache RTX.
01:09:01Grit to glory.
01:09:02Come on, people. Make some noise.
01:09:20Apache RTX. Glit to glory.
01:09:32We need you to make some noise.
01:09:42We need you to make some noise.
01:09:53Can I invite Mr. Gaurav Gupta, Babu-san and RGP-san for a photo op?
01:09:59How is the bike?
01:10:02How beautiful is it? How many of you want to ride right away?
01:10:06Just give them away.
01:10:12Gaurav.
01:10:17Just give away, please.
01:10:20Yeah, please.
01:10:22Gaurav will come here.
01:10:24Babu-san, please put a leg on the bike.
01:10:26Hey, RGP-san.

01:10:35Gaurav.
01:10:36Gaurav.
01:10:37Gaurav.
01:10:38Gaurav.
01:10:39Gaurav.
01:10:40Gaurav.
01:10:41Gaurav.
01:10:42Two of us.
01:10:51Gaurav.
01:10:53Gaurav.
01:10:54So I'm sure we will give us 5-10 minutes, we'll give you all these beautiful bikes for
01:11:24you to shoot, consume, and I'm sure you'll love it, right?
01:11:28What is pending?
01:11:29You don't want to know pricing?
01:11:31You want to know pricing?
01:11:32Can you go back to your seats so that I can share with you all pricing?
01:11:35Thank you Babu San, thank you RGP San for joining us here.
01:11:38Goro, can you stay here?
01:11:39I need to take an approval from my boss, that bike, screen through the mail.
01:11:46So what should be the price is what we thought we should announce.
01:11:50Can we have the base pricing?
01:11:56Wow Goro, is this right?
01:12:02What is the price?
01:12:04Are you not excited?
01:12:06I think.
01:12:07Oh, I have a big problem, my boss has to approve it, right?
01:12:11I don't know whether I'll have, I can go back and get a pricing.
01:12:15So ladies and gentlemen, for the first time we are introducing an introductory price for
01:12:19Apache RTS, can we have the pricing?
01:12:22Vimal, we talked about value maximization.
01:12:26So value maximization.
01:12:28Still not good.
01:12:33I wanted it to become much more better.
01:12:36Can we move on?
01:12:40Oh, that's the price.
