Sunderland Head Coach Régis Le Bris said that his side’s 2-0 victory over Wolves in the Premier League was an important one, whilst Middlesbrough Head Coach Rob Edwards was left very pleased after Boro defeated Ipswich Town at the Riverside Stadium.

00:00Sunderland returned to Premier League action after the international break with a 2-0 victory

00:05over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Stadium of Light,

00:08thanks to goals from Nori Mukili and an own goal from Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci.

00:14Regis Labrice, the Sunderland head coach, described the victory as an important win

00:18following the full-time whistle, with his side now on 14 points in the Premier League table.

00:24I think it's an important win, a tough win.

00:31I think we started well.

00:32I'm really pleased with the first half.

00:35It was like expected.

00:37We had our game plan, the way to manage their press.

00:41We created chances, generated strong momentum.

00:46We scored once, which was positive.

00:48But my regret is we didn't score the second goal.

00:53And I think it's normal to expect after this first half a reaction from our opponent.

01:01And they did well during the second half, so it was totally different.

01:04But we defended together, showed this togetherness again,

01:09this ability to suffer together and kept this in clean sheet, which is positive.

01:13And Middlesbrough's 2-1 win at the Riverside Stadium over Ipswich Town in the Championship

01:18left Rob Edwards feeling elated.

01:21Yeah, elated, really, really pleased, really proud of the lads.

01:26A really good night for the football club.

01:28Fans were brilliant, great atmosphere.

01:31I thought a really good advert just for football, not just the Championship, whatever.

01:34I thought for football, I thought it was a really good game.

01:36You mentioned a really good advert for football, those final ten minutes of the first half.

01:39It helped us get the chances at both ends.

01:41What was your view of that from the touchline?

01:42Yeah, I thought we were having a right good go, we're mixing it with a really good team

01:45and we're looking every bit as good at that moment.

01:48Alex Palmer made some incredible saves.

01:51I thought we were playing well.

01:53And Sol obviously came up with a huge moment then with a penalty.

01:57I haven't seen it back.

01:58Was it a pen?

01:59You can be honest, what do you think?

02:00I'll get Brits having a word with you later on.

02:02So, yeah, we had to defend, you know, we sold it amazing.

02:06And then a couple of minutes later then to be going with a break 1-0 up.

02:10Moments, yeah, big, big, big moments for us in those couple of minutes.

02:13But I thought we deserved it.
