00:00Welcome back. United States President Donald Trump warns that India will continue to face heavy tariffs if it fails to end its imports of Russian oil.
00:11Trump insists that he has spoken with Prime Minister Nandanda Modi on halting Russian oil imports, despite India's assertion that it was not aware of such conversation.
00:20I spoke with Prime Minister Modi of India, and he said he's not going to be doing the Russian oil thing, so that's it.
00:32Well, why would India say that they're not going to do that?
00:35I don't know, but if they want to say that, then they'll just continue to pay massive tariffs, and they don't want to do that.
00:41Russian oil remains a major sticking point in U.S.-India trade relations, with Trump imposing a 50 percent tariffs on Indian goods for its continued purchases of Russian petroleum.
00:53Last week, a White House official claimed that India had already halved its Russian oil purchases, but Indian sources have disputed that, saying there is no immediate sign of a reduction.
