00:00Today we have a private tour to Abu Dhabi so we're getting picked up in a vehicle and we
00:10have a tour guide to take us from our hotel in Dubai. We're gonna see Emirates Palace,
00:14the famous mosque. I think we're going to a souk in a dates market. They should be about
00:19eight hours. We're getting picked up at 10 a.m. and it is 9 35 now so we're just finishing up
00:24getting ready and then we are going to head that way. We're in the desert. We're walking in the Grand Mosque.
00:34It's so beautiful. The Grand Mosque is huge and it is absolutely incredible. It was constructed
00:45starting in like the late 90s and it finished in about 2007 and it can hold like 40,000 more
00:50worshipers. Lord and I are just taking in all the views. It's just a pretty incredible place to witness.
00:59When you go into the big prayer hall they have this massive carpet. It was hand-knotted and it took
01:04two years to make. It broke the Guinness World Record. It is the largest carpet in the world.
01:11All the designs on the pillars, the floors, the ceilings, it looks like it's painted but it's
01:16actually in late stone and marble and it is so beautiful. As a reminder it's both a sign of
01:21respect and a requirement to dress modestly when visiting a mosque. There should be no transparent
01:25clothing, shorts, sleeveless shirts, or tight clothing. For women your arms and hair should
01:30be fully covered as well. You can come prepared with your own scarf to wear as a hijab or buy appropriate
01:35clothing at the entrance. If you're like me and struggle with putting it on properly.
01:39Hers looks like perfect and like I swear I have like even the same one and I look like not perfect.
01:46I want it to look like her. There are women that are more than willing to assist.
01:50We're leaving the mosque now and we're headed back to meet our tour guide.
01:59We got dropped off in Heritage Village. It's kind of like this museum where you walk through and it kind
02:03of shows the development of the UAE and Abu Dhabi throughout the years and shows how they used to
02:09live in the olden days. There's a museum, some shopping. So we're just kind of enjoying the nice
02:14weather here and then we're going to go get some lunch because we're hungry.
02:25So we just finished lunch. It wasn't the best lunch I'd say. It was just kind of a buffet but
02:30it did the job. So if you do take this tour which we'll link in the description. Everything's been
02:34great. Our tour guide's great. I would just probably find a new lunch spot because it's not included in
02:38the tour price anyway. But now we're at the Emirates Palace which used to be the presidential palace but
02:44they built a new presidential palace. So now it is a hotel and everything here is just completely over
02:49the top. They have a gold coffee bar and you can get gold ice cream and everything is just luxury.
02:55It's a lot of gold. It's like the ceilings, the tops of the columns. Everything in here is
03:02all plated. Gold elevator doors, gold regular doors, gold archways and domes. And their coffee is no
03:12exception so we are going to try to get the famous palace cappuccino which is a cappuccino with 24 here.
03:19Is it extravagant? Yes. Is it very cheap spending my money? Absolutely not. I'm not going to order it anyway.
03:25Also yes. So let's give it a go. And to be honest I'm not entirely sure how one consumes gold weights.
03:34After downing a delicious gold coffee and wondering how our bodies will digest it,
03:38we took a drive across town to a local dates market and took in one last look at the beautiful palace.
03:44So we're leaving Abu Dhabi and on the way back we're stopping at a few photo spots. So the first one is
04:13the Louvre Abu Dhabi which it looks like this really cool kind of futuristic looking building.
04:18It's like an art museum where we don't actually have time to go in which is a bummer but it has
04:22this beautiful garden area and it kind of overlooks the waterway and you can see all the big buildings
04:26in the background. And then the second spot we're going to leave here and go to Ferrari World. Our guide
04:30told us we could pay to drive a Ferrari but I can't drive a stick so I think we'll just be doing
04:34photo ops and then we're going to head back into Dubai for the evening and hopefully go explore the city
04:39some more. The Abu Dhabi Formula One track.
04:44Ferrari Store. It's kind of funny because Ferrari is an Italian brand but they just have so much money
04:50in the UAE and they have you know obviously we're right by the Abu Dhabi Formula One track but it
04:55just kind of cracks me up that they were just like Ferrari. They just brought it here. They just
05:00whatever they like it seems like they just like have the money to bring here. Ferrari World is the
05:05largest indoor theme park and is the only Ferrari branded theme park. There's a roller coaster,
05:11you can indoor skydive next door, there's a mall so it's quite the place. I think it's like 360
05:18durham standard per person for an adult which is kind of expensive so I think we're just going to take
05:23some photos and then head back to Dubai. We had a blast in Dubai and have more videos coming your way.
05:31If you like this video give it a thumbs up and we'll see you in the next one.
