00:00Hey friends, I'm Stacey and this is Gorgeously Aging and today I'm going to do a thorough review

00:09of the Elemis. This is the Superfood Glow Primer Moisturizer. I've had this for a while and have

00:15used it a few times but haven't done a thorough review. So I wanted to share this product with

00:21you, the pros, the cons, and my honest thoughts. So I'm going to start out by putting it on my

00:26whole face. You can also use this as a highlighter by taking a smaller amount and tapping it onto the

00:32high points of your cheeks. Now this is a creamy, lightweight, lotion-y formula so I'm just going to

00:39take about that much and go ahead and apply it as a moisturizer. So this is a little bit of a splurge

00:46like Elemis products are. I do love a lot of the Elemis products. They just are a little bit more

00:53expensive than obviously like your drugstore products. What I do like about this is it gives

00:58a very natural glow. So whether you are wearing makeup over top or just wearing it as a moisturizer

01:05to enhance a youthful glow, it will provide that without looking artificial. I think to wear it

01:11alone without any kind of tinted moisturizer or foundation over the top, you really have to like

01:17that glowy look. It can look a little bit intense when you first apply it but it does settle into the

01:23skin nicely. So going back to the price point on this, it is $62 on the Elemis website. It has 4.25

01:30like four and a quarter stars. If you have texture or patchiness on your skin, it may not look great

01:36alone but definitely will improve the glow and hydration of your skin under makeup, tinted sunscreen,

01:42or some kind of skin tint. Now this is a nutrient-packed formula. It has prebiotics as well.

01:50So it is a skincare product more than it is a makeup product. For that, I really like it. It's silicone

01:56free so it's not one of those like thick silicone primers. It really is more of a moisturizer that

02:02provides that beautiful glow. So here is what it looks like with nothing else on it. It does give the

02:09skin some nice radiance. I'm going to go over it with my number one de Chanel skin tint. I haven't used

02:15this one in a while so I'm just going to give a couple pumps to the back of my hand. I'm going to

02:20use an It Cosmetics. This is the airbrush foundation brush and I'm just going to pat that in and start

02:26in the center of my face and work out. You can do this with any foundation. I'm just using this one

02:33because I have it in a while and I really like this foundation. It's got a really fluid formula

02:39and it sets down nicely without powder. You can add some powder to it which I probably will in my

02:45t-zone but you wouldn't have to powder it if you didn't want to with this foundation.

02:51I think one of the keys to success with this is not covering your face with a full coverage

02:57type of foundation. I think something a little lighter, a little more fluid allows you to add more

03:03coverage and let that glow show through. One thing I will say about this foundation, mine is a little

03:08messy. It is a color that works really good for me and I think that's hard to come by. I like the

03:14formula. It's not too matte but it's not a glowy formula and it's not super full coverage so you can

03:20allow that hydration and glow from the Elemis product to show through. I have this in the shade

03:25B40. I'll list everything I'm using down in the description box below. So today I'm keeping my makeup

03:31very simple. I'm just having one of those days where I don't want to have a lot of makeup on.

03:36I think I might go for a hike later and it doesn't make sense for me to go out hiking in the woods

03:41with a full face of glam so I'm just going to keep things light. So I'm going to wipe off my eyebrows

03:47and just give them a little bit of zhiz with the Grande Brow 2-in-1 Tinted Brow Gel. This is in the

03:58color medium. So I like this because it is a serum for your brow growth or hair growth and also has a

04:06little pigment. So it just gives the brows a little bit of oomph. I personally think that as we age the

04:14brows get more and more important because we start to lose brow definition and then we just lose that

04:20framing of the face. And then sometimes I like to just take a dry spoolie. I keep a spoolie pack

04:27in my makeup desk here and just brush them up. I'm going to take a little bit of this Cali Ray

04:34Hideaway. This is a concealer corrector and I love this because it's a serum so it's really great on

04:40mature under eyes. And just brighten up the under eyes just a little bit here.

04:48I've definitely noticed that my under eyes are a little more dark underneath than they used to be

04:53when I was younger. And I'm just going to use a sponge to pat that in. I like a sponge because it

05:00picks up any excess product. So the concealer under the eye is nicely blended and not heavy.

05:08That's just my preference for what works well for me. Then I'm just going to take a little bit of the

05:14Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder and dab that under the eyes.

05:23This is my favorite under eye setting powder because it's so light and finely milled. It doesn't look

05:30dry but it sets down the concealer nicely. And then I'm going to use the Makeup by Mario. This is the

05:38Soft Sculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer in the color medium. And I'm just going to go in

05:44this is kind of a creamed powder type formula. And just give a little contour here.

05:51I don't want to be really bronzy today since I'm not going for heavy makeup but I do like a little

05:56contour. What's left in the brush I'll just run along my jawline.

06:05And then I'm going to take my favorite Rode Beauty Pocket Blush in the color Toasted Teddy. I think in my

06:10last video I was calling this color just Teddy. It's Toasted Teddy. So and I'll use the same brush

06:15and just get a little on there and distribute on the eye parts of the cheek for a little flush of color.

06:26And then I'm just going to use a little bit of this Lawless. I used this in my last video too and

06:30I'm kind of obsessed with it. Forget the filler lip plumping gloss. It's in the color Nudie. It's just so pretty.

06:43And then I'm going to use the Lancome Idol Eyeliner. This is waterproof eyeliner.

06:48And just to tight line a little I do have the Ardell Lash Clusters on.

07:00And I'm not going to do like a full eyeshadow but I just do want to do one wash of color.

07:05So I'm just going to use this one here. This light kind of warm beige color or terracotta color.

07:11I'm just going to do this above the natural crease just for a little lift.

07:20I kind of feel naked when I don't do this. Sometimes I don't put eyeshadow on. I just

07:24do my brow gel and a little lip gloss and a little blush and call it good. But

07:28I like doing kind of a one and done color just for that eye lift. I'm going to take my small brush

07:34right into that same color and just give a little bit of definition under this lower lash line.

07:43I do really love this palette. I don't think anybody would be disappointed with the formula.

07:47It's such a good formula. And because I'm going for a hike it is a hat day. You guys I failed to

07:52mention that I always start my makeup routines with my full skincare and then some type of SPF. Today I

07:58used a Kopari SPF that I'm really loving. I'll list that down below, but you've probably noticed if

08:05you follow me on Instagram that I wear hats all the time. If I'm out for a walk, if I go for a hike,

08:10I kind of live in hats on the day to day to not only to protect my skin, but if I'm just not in the

08:15mood to do my hair, it's just easy to throw it in a little bun in the back and throw on a hat and run

08:20errands and do whatever. So not only am I saving time on doing my hair, but I'm also protecting my skin

08:26from the sun. I live at a higher elevation so the sun can be a little more intense and it fits the

08:32Colorado vibe to be wearing a hat. So now I just have to take off the sweater and put on my hiking

08:37clothes and I will be good to go with a subtle soft makeup. Nothing too glam, but still feeling a

08:44little confident. So just a little recap on Elemis. Is it worth the $62? I think that's really a personal

08:50decision. It is a bit more expensive. A little goes a long way, but it does give a beautiful

08:56glow to the skin. I personally have always liked Elemis as a brand. So there is some

09:01brand love or brand loyalty there for me. I think you could find some really nice moisturizers that

09:07would look beautiful under makeup. Maybe not quite like this that has the nutrients, has the prebiotics

09:13and has that added glow element. I personally am glad that I purchased this. I will probably use every

09:19last drop. It's a little too soon for me to say if I'll repurchase this again. I have no regrets trying it.

09:25I think it's a nice product, but not sure if it's something that blows me away enough to purchase
