00:00Hey friends, today we're going to reconstitute Dehantox 200 units for use on my neck and a
00:11small touch up from the Botox I did in my forehead last week. We're going to reconstitute the Dehantox
00:18200 units with 4 mils of sterile saline. This is the saline that is provided from acecosm.com.
00:27Because I'm using a half mil syringe in this video, it will require 8 syringes filled with
00:34sterile saline into the Dehantox 200 to reconstitute, yielding a 5 units per 0.1 ml dilution. If you're
00:46using a standard 1 mil syringe, this would require 4 syringes full of saline for reconstitution in the
00:54200 unit Dehantox. If you're using the 100 units, it's only 2 mils to reconstitute. This is a standard
01:03universal dilution for most toxins and most come with a dilution table insert in the packaging.
01:10For those of you just getting started, I will be doing a Tox Fundamentals video to help you from
01:15having almost no knowledge to understanding dilution in needles. That is coming very soon.
01:21But I do have a Tox playlist with lots of educational videos that should help you understand most of
01:27these concepts. Now that my Dehantox is reconstituted with the sterile saline, I am cleaning the area that
01:33I'm going to treat, which is my neck jawline and a small touch-up on my forehead from last week's
01:40toxin. So I'm just going to go ahead and make sure all of this is cleaned up. You can see I have those
01:47wi-fi lines or ladder lines above my brows, so we're going to touch that up a little bit after
01:53treating the neck. It is important that the treatment area is washed thoroughly and cleaned
01:58with alcohol prior to treatment. The muscle I'm treating today is the platysma, which runs from
02:03the jawline down to the collarbone. By treating this muscle, it improves not only the jawline and jowls,
02:10but makes the neck look more youthful. You can treat the bands themselves, but also the platysma
02:17as a whole. You'll see here in this video that I'm marking out the areas on the bands first, about
02:24half an inch between injection point, and we're going to go two units per red dot that I'm marking.
02:32The typical treatment for the platysma is anywhere between 40 units and 100 units. Today I'm going to
02:40be using about 100 units, and because this is a more aggressive platysma treatment, I like to do
02:46it a week after I do my face, just so I'm not injecting so much tox in one setting. This is just my
02:52personal preference. It doesn't mean it has to be done this way. This is just what I prefer. It should
02:57be noted that my hands were cleansed, sanitized, and then I wear gloves. I always use gloves when I do
03:04treatments so that I'm not contaminating the clean work surface, in this case my neck, and if I do
03:10reach to touch something or if I touch my phone, which I typically keep away from the area, I do put
03:16on a new pair of gloves. You can see in some areas I'm just treating where the platysma pulls down and
03:22creates some dimpling and wrinkling, and these areas that are not on top of a band are
03:27very shallow injection. The platysma is literally a sheet of muscle that runs from the jawline
03:34all the way down to the clavicle, and in some cases creates the bands, but it's not limited to
03:41just the platysmal bands. Again, it's a sheet of muscle, and so you can shallow inject throughout
03:48the platysma that runs from the jawline to the clavicle. Many people overlook doing the platysma,
03:54but it is such an important area to treat on the aging face, and it makes such a nice difference
04:01on the jawline and jowling. It also improves the overall look of the neck. Once you start doing the
04:08platysma, it's really hard not to do it because it makes such a nice difference. This is also referred
04:13to as a Botox neck lift or a Nefertiti lift. When I first started doing this treatment, I would do 20 to
04:2040 units. I definitely learned that I need more of the upper end treatment, which is 100 units. I would
04:27definitely opt for the lower end of this treatment, which is 40 units, and keep in mind if you undertreat,
04:34you're not going to get the results that you want. It's definitely best to err on the side of
04:38undertreatment and then ease into more units as you get more comfortable, but you definitely need
04:44enough to see the difference. Now I'm starting with the bands by pinching them, going straight
04:50into the platysmal band, and injecting two units per red dot. I don't find the bands to be painful
04:57at all. Actually, they're quite easy, probably some of the easier areas to treat, and I personally never
05:03use any topical lidocaine when doing a tox treatment. Now I have filled several half mil syringes
05:10with tox so that I can change out the syringe having a sharper needle as I move on with the
05:16treatment. Using a half mil syringe does not change the fact that it is five units per 0.1 ml. Think of
05:25it this way. If you're baking a cake and it calls for one cup of flour, and you use a one cup measuring
05:32cup, you're putting in one cup of flour. But if you have a half a cup, you're still putting in one cup of
05:39flour. You're just using two of those half cup measuring cups. I know this can seem very confusing
05:45at first, but again, I will do a series that goes into tox fundamentals very soon. Until then, check
05:51out my playlist on tox where there are some videos that go over this information. So again, as I'm going
05:57into the bands, I'm going straight in two units per dot, and where I'm sprinkling in toxin into the
06:05platysma where there isn't a band, I'm going in at an angle very shallow and injecting two units
06:12shallow into the platysma. A good way to practice this is to draw up water into your syringe and
06:19practice the two unit dosing. This will give you a good hand feel for what it is like to inject two
06:27units. That way, when you're injecting, you're not pressing too hard or over injecting,
06:32and a magnifying mirror works out really well. Always remember the 10 on an insulin needle
06:39represents insulin units, not tox units. The 10 mark on most insulin needles is 0.1 OML,
06:48and this is five units of tox on a one mil syringe. That would mean each little hash mark is one unit.
06:56As I'm injecting my platysma, I am going ahead here and wiping off the areas I've treated with
07:02an alcohol swab so I'm not confused on what I've treated and what I haven't. I'm going to let you
07:08go ahead and watch the rest of these injection points, but feel free to go back and re-watch with
07:14the volume off to notice the depth and angle of the platysma injection.
07:44I'm going to place the bug on the Quantysma injection topples. We're very much supportive for it.

13:48And now that I can't get Ren Tox, I'm pretty much always using Dehan Tox.
14:15when I'm done with the injections I lightly clean the area in an upward direction without pressing
14:35and then I do put a little lotion on my face I use a light bioderma ultra nourishment lotion
14:42and just rehydrate my face after all that alcohol and then for the next 24 hours I do not press on
14:49the treatment areas I'm very gentle when I do my skincare I don't exercise vigorously the day of
14:56a tox treatment and I try not to lay down for about four hours after doing tox thank you so
