00:00Hey friends, I'm Stacey and this is Gorgeously Aging and today we are going to use the HandHeal
00:10NAD Plus Complex. This is a wonderful treatment. I actually used it on my face not long ago
00:16and my camera was not recording. So today I'm going to show you guys this and do it on my neck
00:21and chest which definitely needs some attention and it's one of the areas, especially my chest,
00:26that I tend not to treat as regularly as my face and neck. I think for a lot of people when you're
00:31allocating your money and time, you're thinking about your face first but then your face starts
00:36to look really good and the neck and chest start to look more aged. So I'm definitely focusing more
00:42on my neck and chest, particularly my chest, this year to really make sure it's all looking nice.
00:48I'm actually really excited about this product. It's relatively new to Ace Casa and we're going to
00:52go over some of the ingredients and benefits. I'll start out by talking about price. This is $90
00:57which I think is an excellent price for what you're getting. This comes with a dry and a liquid. You
01:04basically dump the liquid into the dry vial to make your preparation. This is a skin booster, very high
01:11quality and again it's $90. I think I mentioned that but it's a next generation skin booster and
01:16the NAD plus NMN really works on a cellular level to repair DNA and boost mitochondrial function.
01:25In addition to those ingredients, it also has hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C, glutathione,
01:33and let me see, did I forget anything? Oh, peptides and collagen which are so important. This really has
01:39everything in it that you would need for a good skin booster. It doesn't have PDRN which is a skin
01:46booster I really love but I think this is one to work into your rotation because it has so many
01:52heavy hitting ingredients. What this will treat is skin firmness and laxity. It will also treat wrinkles.
01:59It'll give the skin more radiance and brightness and help to keep the skin looking more even in skin
02:05tone and color. It helps to treat oxidative stress and inflammation in the skin as well as boosting
02:11hydration and plumpness. So this can be used both with mesotherapy which is teeny tiny injections
02:17under the skin and microneedling and derma rolling. So no matter your comfort level or your skill level
02:24as far as an at-home treatment, there is an option for pretty much everyone. It is so easy to use a derma
02:30roller to infuse this into the skin. Today I'm going to be doing mesotherapy. I do think mesotherapy
02:36is a little bit more effective than microneedling but you can get some really great results with the
02:42microneedling if mesotherapy is out of your comfort zone. A little pro tip and something I often do is
02:49I will do mesotherapy and follow that with a derma roller immediately after or with my microneedling
02:55Dr. Pen. I prefer the Dr. Pen M8 and I will link all of this down in the description below. This product
03:02is from acecosm.com. Discount code STACY10. Gets you 10% off site wide. Acecosm is a reputable high
03:11quality vendor. I buy everything from them. So we're going to go through this step by step. My neck
03:17and decollete have been cleaned in the shower but I am going to go over and alcohol swab it. So I'm
03:22going to take a 70% isopropyl alcohol and just go ahead and swab the treatment area so that we are not
03:30injecting any bacteria into the skin. This is a very superficial injection. Just 30 degree angle
03:37into the skin. Little tiny blebs of the product spaced about one centimeter apart. We're going to
03:44be applying a 10% topical lidocaine here just to make it a bit more comfortable. I only leave it on
03:49for about 10 minutes but you could leave it on up to 20. Because this is a large area of the body we
03:55don't want to leave that on too long because it is absorbed into the body and if you use too much
04:00topical lidocaine over a large surface area you could get lidocaine toxicity. So you want to be
04:05careful about that. Lidocaine toxicity can just give you some symptoms like racing hard, a little
04:10jittery feeling, sometimes your head feels a little funny. So if you're sensitive to lidocaine you may
04:15want to do it without or just be cautious and do maybe a small area of lidocaine. Remove that, see how
04:22you're doing, treat that area and proceed from there. So I'm going to do a thin layer on my neck and chest
04:29and right under here because since my weight loss I do have a little bit of laxity underneath my chin
04:35which the submental laxity or turkey neck seems to be something that happens with age but is
04:42exacerbated with weight loss. All right now that I have this on I'm going to let it sit on for 10
04:47minutes and then we'll be right back and continue on with the treatment. So while my lidocaine is numbing
04:52I'm going to go ahead and mix up my solution. So I've already taken the top off the dry ampoule which
04:58has the powder in it and we're going to do the same thing with the wet ampoule. So I'm just going
05:03to go ahead and pop this top gently and there's some foil underneath and if we're lucky we can get
05:10the foil off without it breaking. So I'm just going to pull this back and then let's see if we get it
05:17off. Twist it around. Nope. This is the last one I got off without breaking. So if it breaks you can use
05:23your finger and just pull this foil part off like that and then it has a rubber stopper. We're going
05:32to pull that out and then just dump the liquid into the dry ampoule and we're going to give it a little
05:43swirl and that starts to gently dissolve that dry ampoule. So I'm just going to swirl it for about
05:4930 seconds to a minute and then I'm just going to let this sit while the lidocaine continues to work
05:55and double check that I have everything I need including gloves and needles. Now needles are
06:01kind of a personal preference. Today I'm using a 31 gauge. Today I'm using a 31 gauge. This is a half
06:08of a mil. This is eight millimeters in length in terms of the actual needle length. The syringe holds
06:16a half of a mil. So it's a little skinnier than your average one mil insulin syringe. I'm going to
06:24use several of them because the needles do dull down as you use them. So it's always a good idea to
06:29have a box of needles and use several so that it doesn't become painful. When the needles dull it does
06:35get a little sensitive. It irritates the skin and you're more likely to bruise with a dull needle than a
06:41nice sharp needle. So I am going to start drawing up some of this solution into my needles. I'll be
06:48right back. So I prepared some needles and we're going to go ahead now and remove this lidocaine. I'm
06:53going to start out with a dry cloth just to get it off the skin and then I'm going to go over with
06:58alcohol one more time. Really the lidocaine is optional. Some people that aren't bothered by needles
07:04will do really well without lidocaine. I usually leave it on for a short period of time and then I'm going to
07:10use the 70% lidocaine again and just make sure it's good and clean. I'm going to start with my neck.
07:15Work one side and then the other and then on the chest I'm going to work in quadrants. If it's your
07:19first time you may want to mark out the areas just so it gives you kind of a road map. Because I've done
07:25this so many times I'm going to do it without marking. In terms of your spacing it doesn't have to
07:29be super precise. You're wanting to aim for about a centimeter apart. So I'm going to work over on this
07:35side first and we're going in at about a 30 degree angle. We're going just under the skin
07:41and then a small bleb. It's about 0.01 to 0.05 of the product. I don't really look at the syringes
07:52I'm doing this. I just administer a very small tiny tiny amount and then move to my next mark.
07:59It's about a half an inch apart. Again this is very shallow and it makes just a tiniest little bump
08:13sometimes. You have to be patient when doing this.
08:18If you're a little bit slower sometimes it's good to just numb the neck not the chest. Do your neck
08:29first and then numb the chest and go through that process again. Otherwise the chest can become
08:35not numb. So just depending on how fast you work.
08:46So this is a very safe procedure. The worst really that can happen is that you get a bruise.
08:52Again 30 degree angle. Really shallow. And just a tiny bleb of product.
09:06I'm looking into a regular mirror that's kind of at a distance here so I may have to switch to a
09:12magnifying mirror which I think is so helpful. It's harder to do this in front of the camera than it is
09:19to do it when you're on your own and you can really just focus.
09:25So if the spacing is a little too close or a little too far that's nothing to stress about.
09:34Now I'm going to try to focus up in here because you can see from my weight loss that there's a little bit of
09:40like laxity right through here. It's not bad because I do regular microneedling and take really good care of my skin.
09:46I also use red LED light masks but I want to make sure I get this area.
09:51ๅฎณัั‚ะฒะตal
10:03If you're visually inspecting the area that you're treating and you have a real surface vein, obviously you can avoid that to avoid a bruise.
10:06If you're visually inspecting the area that you're treating and you have a real surface
10:16vein, obviously you can avoid that to avoid a bruise.
10:29That's why I also love microneedling over the top of mesotherapy immediately after to
10:34help distribute the Skin Booster more thoroughly in the skin.
10:40The needling action itself from the microneedling or dermaroller also helps to boost collagen.
10:47So we were going to try to keep it on one side, I was kind of veering over here, but
10:51I'll go back this way.
10:56Once you get comfortable with mesotherapy, you definitely get faster at it.
11:00I'm going kind of slow here so you guys can see the angle of entry.
11:04And you can see it's very shallow.
11:10And again, you can do this with just microneedling or dermaroller, which is still great for the
11:16skin.
11:18Not everybody is comfortable with mesotherapy or with needles.
11:24To be honest, if you're short on time, the microneedling or the dermaroller is a lot faster.
11:38So these little bumps from the mesotherapy, they do dissipate.
11:44I would say for everybody it's a little different.
11:46For me it's about 24 hours.
11:48You can lightly massage them and just to distribute the product.
11:56It's not uncommon to get a little bleeder once in a while.
11:59Don't let that worry you.
12:22Okay you guys, I'm going to speed this up, let you watch.
12:24And if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask in the comment section.
12:28Once I finish this, I'll pop back on and kind of give you guys a few last thoughts or helpful
12:33tips at the very end of the video.
12:36I'm also going to pull out my magnifying mirror so that I can really see what I'm doing.
12:43I'm going to pull out my magnifying mirror now.
12:51You can.
13:00Holding your hands to pull the skin taut is really helpful on both sides no matter where
13:23you're working especially if the skin is a little looser it just helps the needle go
13:27in easier so skin boosters are a liquid preparation there really is little to no
13:43risk of a vascular occlusion occlusions come from cross-linked hyaluronic acid or
13:48fillers because they're thick and because they can clog a vein or artery these are
13:53very shallow they're above your veins and arteries and even if you did poke us a
13:57small vein this is liquid it would not clog an artery or cause an occlusion so I'm
14:06just gonna go ahead and wipe that down you can see the little bumps there totally
14:14normal and just for a visual reference I'm going to mark off my chest I'm gonna
14:27work on these areas and if I have any product left I may come in and just do a
14:30little bit in this area because I do have some slight creepiness in there I do
14:36like to flip my needle a little bit if there's any air bubbles and then you can
14:39just prime the needle by pushing up a little I generally start under my
14:44collarbone and then work my way to the middle again it's very shallow just a
14:50couple millimeters of the needle into the skin at about a 30.5 degree angle tiny
14:56blob of product and then move over about a half an inch and again it you don't
15:01have to be super precise with your spacing just be as close as you can if you work
15:13slower it's definitely beneficial to do your topical lidocaine your neck first and
15:18just not even bother with the chest until you get there and then reapply maybe on
15:23one half the chest do that half and then the other half so that you still have
15:27the benefit of that numbing I'm gonna do the two upper quadrants first because
15:36down below here if I don't have enough product left really this sun damage is
15:40kind of above this point for me so we'll see how much product we have left when
15:46you do draw up the product into the needle go very very slow and just be
15:51patient I kind of hold it at an angle like this use this finger on the plunger
15:57and slowly draw back every once in a while kind of take a break draw back some
16:03more kind of go forward just it's just requires some patience sometimes you just
16:11want to stop and hold and you'll see that liquid moving up towards the black
16:15part of the bottom of the plunger it doesn't feel fast it feels really slow just
16:24take your time go otherwise if you go too fast you're just gonna get a ton of air
16:30bubbles then I just push up a little bit
16:49now we're gonna work on this quadrant I like to start like I said I like to start
16:57focusing below the collarbone and then if I have any product left I'll go up in here and then
17:03definitely get the areas where you have more damage to your skin most of us have it in the
17:08center where we have more exposure to the Sun now that I focused on the center I'm going to work my way out
17:21now I'm going to move up into some of this crepey skin right here and here
17:42so this is my last syringe I'm just going to get a few areas that I know maybe need a little bit more
18:05treatment or little spots that I may have missed I kind of focus on this ear I always focus on the
18:13areas I need it most first and then what I have left I fill in
18:16so mesotherapy is a wonderful treatment if you have the time the patience and the ability to
18:40withstand a lot of pokes if you don't have the patience for it or you want it to be a little bit
18:46less uncomfortable definitely use a derma roller or like a doctor pen I use definitely use it definitely
18:56use a derma roller or a doctor pen you can see there's a bunch of little poke marks some little
19:03bumps I think for me the bumps stay on my neck more than my chest the chest ones dissipate pretty
19:09quickly so I'm just going to take a little bit of lotion this today I'm using what I have on my desk
19:15this is the bioderma you can use any thinner lotion this is the ultra nourishing cream and I'm just going
19:23to gently massage that again if you have a derma roller or a doctor pen after mesotherapy it's really
19:33nice to go over the top of your mesotherapy with some derma roller or a micro needling pen just to
19:40redistribute that the product really spreads out farther it's not necessary but I often like to
19:45follow up my mesotherapy immediately after with a derma roller or in my case a doctor pen so for so as
19:52far as the bumps they'll definitely be a little more noticeable that first 24 hours for some people
19:57it's just a few hours later and the bumps are gone for me they'll probably stay most of today it's
20:01morning now and then when I wake up tomorrow the bumps will have subsided there are some people
20:07that the bumps actually stay for a day or two for those people I do suggest periodic massaging
20:12gently you don't have to press hard on them just every so often and give yourself a little massage
20:17that helps to integrate that skin booster into the skin as far as aftercare gentle washing don't put a
20:24lot of pressure you may get a few subtle bruises and in that case arnica gel is very helpful
20:30I usually can see if I'm going to bruise immediately I don't see any bruising right now but I may have
20:34a few little pinpoint bruises tomorrow definitely be mindful of the sun and wear your sunscreen
20:40I like to avoid direct sun exposure 24 to 48 hours after any treatment and personally I like to gently
20:48massage with some moisturizer every two or three hours right after a skin booster or mesotherapy treatment
20:55if you guys have any questions about this product don't hesitate to ask in the comments and again
20:59this is from acecosm.com discount code stacy10 I'll list everything I used in the video description
