01:39When I found that I was creative director for this, I immediately went to their old stuff
01:53first and immersed myself into their catalog.
01:56And I saw who were their influence.
01:58You could tell right away who were their influence.
02:00So I immediately went to TLC, I went to Destiny's Child, I went to all the local Atlanta, like
02:05Black, 702, just all the girl groups, I saw that, I wanted to combine their references
02:11with their youth, with what the future is now, you know what I mean, and just trying
02:16to embody all of that into one magic ball.
02:21Very excited for this tour, it's our first headlining tour, everybody all components,
02:25look at Anthony right here, yes, he's been killing us in a great way, making sure we are
02:30great, and we appreciate that every day.

02:33What I learned through this process is that the most
02:35important thing is to be well rested, and to have a lot of energy, and our schedules
02:38have been packed, not only with rehearsals, but also press days, promoting our newest single
02:44team.

02:47They walked on their first headlining tour, the OMG girls.
02:51Rehearsals have been full of energy, lots of stretching, stretch the bottom leg, stretch
02:57the bottom leg.
02:58Lots of cardio, and lots of ab work too.

03:06You gotta like, have it tight so you can hold up right, period.
03:10So it's the official first day of tech, and we are five days out before our first show
03:15here in Atlanta, and it's just now connecting all the dots.
03:18We've been putting all these sections together to see how they fit and flow.
03:22And everything is working.
03:23It's just, you know, hurry up and wait.

03:38This is Gordie Maxx.
03:39I am musical director, arranger, drummer for OMG girls.
03:40Right now we are making edits to the song Make a Scene.
03:43We are basically making a better transition.
04:03Gordie is amazing.
04:04He's an amazing musician.
04:05And I think he just really put a lot into the sound of the show because we really have
04:10to tell a story with the music.
04:13Today feels absolutely amazing.
04:15I think because we've been in rehearsal for the past month, just like getting it right.
04:19Now it's kind of just getting everything else surrounding the show right, integrating
04:23everybody into what we've been rehearsing.
04:26It's been a lot of hard work.
04:27It has not been easy.
04:28We've been having 10 to 12 hour days pretty much every day this month.
04:32Dancing is not something that I really enjoy doing or learning, but I feel like this process
04:37kind of made me come to love it.
04:39I definitely think that me feeding into that insecurity of like feeling like I couldn't dance
04:45is kind of what was stopping me from progressing.
04:48And I think that throughout this process, it just kind of awakened something in me to be like,
04:53you know what, I have to dance and it has to look good.
05:00And as you can see, you hear that voice?
05:02It's raspy.
05:03Well, I have a naturally raspy voice, but it's hoarse because I may have used it a little too much.
05:08Myself, I am not just rapping.
05:11I am also singing.
05:12So I'm a person that likes to hype people up when I'm having a good time.
05:15And I've had to keep it quiet because she'll go away and go on vacation and then I have to go find her.
05:21And sometimes she just takes longer than what it should.
05:24So I put myself on vocal rest, made sure I stayed on top of my green teas and honey, and taking care of the vocal cords better.

05:41The long rehearsals have been really crazy trying to juggle being a parent and being an artist.
05:47I'm always in mama mode, as y'all can see.
05:50I had to go pick my baby up before I came to rehearsal.

05:54I got her a lot of toys.
05:55And I'm hoping that that keeps her occupied.
05:58I feel like as moms, when we can't always be there for our kids, we put all this pressure on ourselves and feel like maybe I'm not doing the best thing for my kid.
06:06So I have to remind myself that when my kid is not with me, she is still fine.
06:11Watching Zonnique as a mother and juggling her career, it just reminds me of myself because when she was Hunter's age, I was doing the same thing.
06:19So it's like, I love seeing her in her element.
06:22And I'm glad that Hunter is able to see her in her element.
06:26And they see you in that light.
06:27They get to see who mommy is and what they really do.
06:30And I love that for her.
06:31And she's doing a great job.

09:02What makes them special is that they are vibe.

09:10Their stage presence is over the top.
09:12I think that this show is definitely a true reflection of, like, who we are as individuals and as a group.

09:46So, yeah, I debuted the intro yesterday.
09:48In my process of creating and arranging, I typically do my intros last.
09:52It kind of gives me that bigger picture idea and how I should move.
09:56And it's crazy because I did it maybe about three to four hours before debuting because I was, I was just in my head about it.
10:02I wanted to make sure that the intro was what it needed to be.
10:05It took every bit of the third day of rehearsal to be like, I got an intro.
10:09The pressure was on for sure this week.
