കോട്ടയം: ശബരിമലയിലെ സ്വർണപ്പാളി വിവാദത്തിൽ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് യൂത്ത് കോണ്ഗ്രസ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍. ദേവസ്വം ബോര്‍ഡ് മന്ത്രി വിഎന്‍ വാസവന്‍റെ രാജി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് ഏറ്റുമാനൂരില് നടത്തിയ പ്രതിഷേധ മാര്ച്ചില് സംഘര്ഷം. മന്ത്രിയുടെ ഏറ്റുമാനൂരിലെ ഓഫിസിലേക്കാണ് യൂത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസ് മാർച്ച് നടത്തിയത്. മന്ത്രിയുടെ കോലം കത്തിച്ച ശേഷം പ്രവർത്തകർ പൊലീസ് സ്ഥാപിച്ച ബാരിക്കേഡുകൾ മറികടക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു. ഇതേ തുടർന്ന് പൊലീസ് ജലപീരങ്കി പ്രയോഗിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് ടൗണിലേക്ക് പ്രതിഷേധ പ്രകടനം നടത്തിയ പ്രവർത്തകർ എംസി റോഡ് ഉപരോധിച്ചു. റോഡിൽ കുത്തിയിരുന്നും കിടന്നും പ്രവർത്തകർ പ്രതിഷേധിച്ചു. ഗതാഗതം തടസപ്പെട്ടതിനെ തുടർന്ന് പ്രവർത്തകരെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്‌ത് നീക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചു. ഇതാണ് സംഘർഷത്തിന് കാരണമായത്. പൊലീസും പ്രവർത്തകരും തമ്മിൽ ഉന്തും തള്ളും ഉണ്ടായി. തുടർന്ന് പ്രവർത്തകരെ പൊലീസ് ബലപ്രയോഗത്തിലൂടെ നീക്കം ചെയ്‌തു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ബിജെപി പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ കാസര്‍കോട് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച പ്രതിഷേധ മാര്‍ച്ചിലും സംഘര്ഷം ഉണ്ടായി. പൊലീസ് സ്ഥാപിച്ച ബാരിക്കേഡ് മറികടക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചതോടെ പൊലീസ് ജലപീരങ്കി പ്രയോഗിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇതാണ് സംഘര്‍ഷത്തിന് കാരണമായത്.
