00:07time seafarer and the smoke escape or keen to make a splash there's one thing we brits are

00:17all on board with we love cruising i'm gonna change are you changing it british demand for

00:24cruises is higher than ever ah i was really desperate to see the captain i was hoping and

00:30praying that i'd see him there's romantic locations breathtaking views did you look down i am looking

00:39down exciting activities and treats and tipples galore this is the life this is the life with

00:48surprises oh wow and new adventures around every corner it's odds on oh wow we saw the dolphins it

00:58was amazing our fun-loving brits at sea will love the cruise

01:11it's the last day of the cruise traveling with us this week a veteran cruiser mum shin

01:18and first time seafarer daughter sarah enjoying their first voyage together cheers i do think

01:26the cruising life is definitely a bit of me now yeah it's something i can see myself doing and

01:30i can understand now why you do what you do this week the pair have enjoyed some quality mom and

01:36daughter time oh that feels good hello hello hello anybody there thank you experiencing tasty tours

01:46oh my golly gosh that is amazing to taking in some stunning views wow

01:56it really is about creating these memories together and spending the quality time

02:01that we can because life is really busy

02:03also on board this week are best friends kerry and julie what am i red go go red oh i love it

02:15it's just been nice to bond more and we know more about each other so yeah it's just been it's been

02:21fantastic they've certainly been keeping busy enjoying lots of activities

02:25we've got this too some more successful than others

02:33but have also been sharing milestone moments they had no idea what she was going to be planning

02:44so i thought everything was a surprise every day every minute of that day was a big surprise

02:48oh my oh happy birthday we did say before we joined the ship that we were going to do as many different

02:57sorts of experiences as we could in the you know in the week that we had and that's exactly what we

03:01did it was really good fun from the uk our ship sailed to the spanish port of cadiz the first point of

03:08call for our guests they have since been taking in the sights of gibraltar and viga before arriving at

03:17our final destination at the port of brest on the northwestern coast of france it's day five of our

03:24cruise and on their final day mom shin and daughter sarah are up early and ready to explore one of brest's

03:31popular tourist attractions the national botanical gardens know any french ladies

03:47for best friends kerry and julie they are easing into their final day while planning their adventure

03:52in brest good morning hello oh thank you i don't think we've eaten in here yet that's lovely perfect i'm

04:00wondering if i could take him home with me nice what i needed it is always nice to be served it's

04:07always nice and we've decided that we need to be served way more often than we currently are even in

04:12our own homes i need to take the chef home do you want to have a too big of a breakfast because we had

04:18some treats and things planned ahead for the rest of the day so what do you think today walking tour

04:23or something like that maybe yeah that would be nice we've done quite a lot of sort of semi-adventurous

04:29stuff during the course of the cruise and we wanted to do something a little more local brest isn't

04:33a huge port so we decided to go on something a little bit of history and culture i think was in

04:38need wasn't it and our feet firmly and our feet firmly on the ground walking we've laughed at so much

04:43stuff it's been lovely and also that thing of i mean i know i know you yeah but that we've got so much

04:50more in common i thought in the first place i know i think this is anchored half friendship very good

04:57boom boom i see what you did there well i'm all full yeah i'm good to go i'm ready yeah i never know

05:04where the gangway is do you meanwhile our northern lasses have taken a 10-minute drive to the stand

05:12ala valley to meet expert loik at the national botanical conservatory of brest hello hello my name

05:20is loik lovely my name's sarah i'm shin the national botanical gardens in brest attracts over 400 000

05:27locals and tourists alike per year nestled in the heart of brest the conservatory is a beacon to those

05:34interested in botany conservation and the natural world established in 1975 the disused rock quarry

05:41became a sanctuary for endangered plant species when the rate of plant extinctions was at an all-time high

05:47across the world and what with breasts wet mild and humid climate you can see why it's become the

05:53perfect home but first things first loik have you got a map because this place is huge if you want

06:01to discover the green the botanic garden it's by this way and you couldn't you can use this map we are

06:09here all this part is a botanic garden so we arrived at the botanical gardens and you know what they were

06:15absolutely huge i didn't realize how big they were going to be after the visit of the botanic garden you

06:22we are going to meet us to the green houses by this way lovely lovely thank you so much right then

06:28that's good lead the way let's go yeah yeah visiting this stunning park is free just don't forget your

06:35comfy shoes there'll be some frogs in there do you know that frog spawn no frogs well frog spawn as well

06:44i guess oh this one's fern isn't it isn't this fern no looks like fern no love that's not fern

06:51mom knows best sarah that one's fern there there you go that looks like see doesn't it i know more

06:58about plants than you yeah you're into the plants more than i am definitely

07:18today the cruise ship ambition is docked in brest on the northwestern coast of france and while mother

07:23and daughter duo shin and sarah have been getting to grips with flora and fauna isn't this fern no

07:30looks like fern no love that's not fun now off the ship kerry and julia keen to soak up breasts culture

07:39this must be it this is the oldest street in breast isn't it beautiful place at britain's western edge

07:47lies breast a city shaped by the sea for centuries it's been a key naval stronghold but during world

07:54war ii much of brest was left in ruins however it was rebuilt into a modern and vibrant city and is

08:01famous for its maritime culture its passion for conservation delicious crepes and its celtic roots

08:10kerry and julie are on a whistle stop tour of brest and their first stop is rue saint malo the oldest

08:18street in the city oh hello hello hello my name is caroline i'll be your guide for today first stop on

08:27our tour we met a lovely lady called caroline so welcome to the street of saint malo yeah so this is

08:33the most ancient part of the city she was so enthusiastic bubbly full of fun mildly eccentric

08:41one thing you should probably know about best is that it's been completely destroyed during the

08:45second world really yeah she was just so so lovely and so happy to see us this street that was saved

08:52by the woman lives there her name is mirai khan and she's saved yes because um because it was

09:00supposed to be destroyed at some point she's been here for 35 years and she's been like fighting

09:06hard to get it oh it's always a strong woman who wins the day exactly and she's like he's a little

09:11little hero here what resonated with me was the fact that one woman stopped that entire historic

09:19street from being destroyed because she would not budge and i'm like they're the suffragettes of today

09:24and i'm absolutely 100 here for that yeah nothing like a cobbled street and a headstrong woman to keep the

09:30magic of brest alive meanwhile shin and sarah are enjoying a senses overload taking in the sights

09:37smells sounds at brest's national botanical gardens we do go to like garden centers anyway don't you

09:44we do like your plants she likes flowers so it was something nice to do wasn't it this is beautiful

09:51isn't it this is stunning you can hear the bird and i can hear something else as well

09:56is it a bird is it a plane near a waterfall i think

10:03oh lovely oh my god wow you can get a better view the other side yeah maybe yeah yeah there you go

10:13oh lovely let's get down yeah just be careful so any fish no i can't see any any tadpoles very nice but

10:23very noisy oh look at the size of this one it's huge yeah it looks like a brolly a massive umbrella is

10:31that in the book yeah it's called gonera gonera manny cutter snap it off and use it's an umbrella

10:38it's probably what they did back in the day isn't it yeah beautiful perfect shelter nothing like a

10:44multi-purpose plant asian i think a good brolly very good you definitely won't get wet with the parasol

10:51carrie and julie are still exploring rusa malo the oldest street in brest and are discovering that

11:00it has a lot more to it than meets the eye come with me i'll show you the garden where a miracle

11:06happened oh what happened is that miracle our cattle tree that gave a fruit it's the first one in britain

11:14everywhere we've been and we've had a local tour guide they've been so enthusiastic right and

11:18passionate about wherever we are yes like the whole gardens are are managed by the the association

11:24that runs this little street so it was started by a group of punks in the in 1989 and so that's

11:33why you know when you come here on sunday that's full of music lots of shows oh nice i'm juggling and

11:41maybe some hula hooping is also so yeah this looks like a little secret garden through there it is

11:47do you want to come with me yes yes all right come in come in to the little secret garden it is

11:55like a little secret garden how pretty there's a little entrance to this lovely sort of botanical

12:01garden that wasn't a botanical garden yeah it's like a secret garden yeah so you've got lots of little

12:07varieties of plants from all around the world the world because really you know when lilies and everything

12:12when france was organizing like scientific missions around the world they would always set

12:18sales from here in brest because we're we're a big military report yeah we're a big port and so for

12:25example this is from new zealand uh hydrangeas in britany come from japan so nothing is very uh

12:32nothing is french well it's all french now but it wasn't french exactly

12:38i noticed there's a lot of cats here ah yeah it's because mireille our the lady who saved this this

12:44street she loves cats and so she takes takes in lots of stray cats and then she takes care of them

12:50you know yeah julie's not a fan of cats i wouldn't hurt a cat at all but i'm petrified of them

12:58and they came they all came out to see me which wasn't fun at all i think that's a good time to

13:05signpost the end of the rue saint malo tour but full marks for facing your fears julie over in the

13:11botanical gardens and shin and sarah are about to stumble across some history themselves so after the

13:17second world war they basically needed stone to rebuild everything so everything was like a quarry then

13:24i believe in 1975 the botanical gardens bought the quarry now some of this stone basically absorbs

13:31the heat so then like other mediterranean plants can grow and like the heat will spread across

13:37that's what it says in here oh that's good yeah not lovely oh bamboo there look sarah mambo it's what

13:43pandas eat yeah of course we saw multiple things at botanical gardens didn't we so first of all we um

13:50hibiscus yeah we saw an hibiscus plant fern um hycines beautiful good size so this is as big as

13:59me here well lilies oh look at these look like lilies to me i think they're lilies from one day

14:07jasmine no oh yeah they were bamboo yeah what do you want this holiday with me oh where were you

14:13so i think the plan next is i think we're going to meet luik at the tropical greenhouses because

14:22there there is some very endangered species of plants and as shin and sarah go off in search of

14:28the tropics and loik tour guide caroline has taken kerry and julie for a stop off for some sweet treats

14:35something to sample from your local delight would be absolutely fantastic wouldn't it it's showing us

14:40the way oh oh yeah oh so we found this little um shop called pom pom all right to come have a taste of

14:49our little tree smells lovely so good here you've got the it's a it's a young sailor's hat oh is it

14:58like they still wear that every day to work and um and a little red bumper yes it's so that they

15:05don't get hurt when they knock their head on a beam or in the boat okay let's we try one um tuck in ladies

15:15everything is about caramel in this town is that salty caramel yeah i love salty caramel

15:23and all of the little sweets and treats in there they're all handmade i think they were all handmade

15:27but they smell delicious this smell lovely yeah and then you've got the world famous queen amon

15:33yeah is this the thing that smells smells really buttery yeah it's half butter half flour no not

15:39not even a half flour it looks like a bread but when you cut it looks like a pastry like um like a croissant

15:46yes oh yeah that's the smell i'm getting it literally smells like that it does would you like to try some

15:54yes please yes please oh my gosh we're not very taking extra stuffing later i know oh it's very

16:06that's really good very sweet that is such a bit of me not so much julie but you know sometimes you've

16:13got to take one for the team haven't you so i had her share as well lovely with julie purchasing a few

16:22chocolate treats for the kids back home bye bye shin and sarah are at the final stop of their tour

16:28and they're reuniting with expert loik at the tropical greenhouse to take a look at some rare tropical

16:34plant species look at these very rare plants coming from island of mauritius

16:40island of mauritius it's a long way from here it remains only 15 specimens of this plant 15 yes

16:48this tree is near extinction it remains only a little population of these plants and it's very rare

16:55in the wild now it's an hibiscus hibiscus insularis like the hibiscus tea yes yes exactly so it's very

17:02important because it is so yes yes and the tea's gorgeous here another tree very interesting for us

17:11this tree is totally extinct in the wild yes now it disappeared and you have in front of you the

17:19tree specimens the last tree specimen in the world and what's the name of this one oh it's um latin name

17:25is melicia begonifolia melissina melicia begonifolia so most of the plants have latin names now a lot of

17:36latin is hard to pronounce anyway and a lot of them had really long names it was very difficult to

17:42pronounce them i just shortened one of them for mel i think it was something like mel yeah melitosi

17:48alala but i just said we'll just call it now we'll call it mel yeah here you have the giant

17:54arom from sumatra around 10 years the plant will produce a flower 10 years before to have a flower

18:03it's incredible because the height of the flower couldn't be reached three meter wow and i would have

18:11loved to have been there when it does flower after the the blooming the the flower disappear what stage is

18:17this one at currently this one of around four years oh so you have to wait i think you'd like

18:23to make the trip i'd like to make the trip back and see it i think i'm ready for something to eat and

18:28drink me lovely we'll go find something afterwards lovely to meet you thank you thank you thank you for

18:34all the knowledge it was amazing yes i'm going to show you how to go to the crepery if you want to

18:39eat something yeah come with me lovely oh a creper two creper three

18:45as these two go to locate a crepe or crispus if we're keeping with the latin theme cruise enthusiasts

18:53kerry and julie are now about to view brest from a very different angle as they take the local commute

18:59literally into les ateliers des capucins a vibrant and cultural leisure hub for a cable car

19:06let's hope they don't mind heights so just after we came out of the patisserie just down the road

19:12around the corner there was the cable car this looks fun who was um jean moulin jean moulin was

19:19a famous french resistant oh okay oh you stand up you don't sit down no oh there was a moment where

19:28i thought i'm not getting in this and then actually i had a word with myself pulled up a big girl pad big

19:33girl pants and in we got i'm so glad we did it was another amazing view all right off we go but what

19:42was amazing is even the start point of that cable car is quite high up because you're overlooking all

19:47of the naval dockyard already oh wow look at this it is amazing like it is like it's so small i think

19:54when you're thinking about it you're thinking oh it's so high but actually when you're here

19:58it's it's a sight to behold isn't it and then when you go up in the cable car it sort of peaks

20:02at the top and then goes down but it's about a three or four minute ride i mean it was great

20:06it was unbelievable and then you've got the castle over there so we haven't talked too much about

20:10the castle everything i'm really glad we did that yeah i'm really glad we did that i'm glad you did it

20:17too ladies

20:29we're halfway through our final day of the cruise and we're anchored up in brest in france where our

20:34fun-loving travelers have been doing a spot of sightseeing this morning best friends kerry and julie

20:40have spent the morning with tour guide caroline learning all about brest's oldest streets

20:46this tree that was saved by the woman lives there it's always a strong woman who wins the day

20:51whilst mother and daughter duo shin and sarah have been discovering it's not just the square

20:56footage of the botanical gardens that's huge because i said this is as big as me having been

21:01pointed in the right direction by their guide loik shin and sarah have located a little crepery

21:07on site very handy god i'm absolutely shattered now are you you're not good i'm older than you

21:13i know i've done plenty of steps there yeah can't wait to get something to eat and drink now yeah this

21:18place looks really cute yeah well let's see let's see what it offers it'll be great great that'll be

21:25great this is it i'm hungry now i think it's always good to try something traditional you know from the

21:33origin of where it is it was nice breast is known for its excellent crepes you can get sweet ones

21:39savory ones even ones with an egg on top i wonder what shin and sarah are going to go for

21:44so we asked for crepe banana chocolate and caramel sauce please i said and he understood me she

22:03didn't say like that she said can i have a banana chocolate and crepe please with um caramel caramel

22:10as well don't you mean we shin yeah shall we pay you wait you have to do it first

22:19quick yeah we can see them being made yeah they're good wow look at them look amazing they're very big

22:24you are after all them steps i think so it's quite a skill isn't it to be able to make it on the

22:30traditional crap stuff flip it over no it's not the same in a frying pan though is it they're using

22:35something else oh i can't do that not for me that must be the caramel sauce okay okay

22:47two chocolate yeah with banana with banana with banana yeah we see remember you're in france now shin

22:58so the cafe place itself it was really busy which is always a good sign because that means

23:02it's very popular and so we decided to just sort of sit outside away from the hustle and bustle and

23:07enjoy our traditional clip and then chocolate oh i'm gonna see wow they're huge aren't they they are

23:17massive shall we try a bit hmm very authentic french taste doesn't it they are nice so i think we've got

23:26a bit of time to kill you know before the dinner when we get back on the ship oh yeah what we're gonna do

23:32see if there's any little games we can play some activities maybe do you want to yeah let's have

23:38a go maybe we'll let this settle a bit first though it's gonna literally be the last dinner tonight

23:44well looking forward to looking all glamorous sparkly well it'll be my first one so we'll have

23:50to see how it goes what time is it now oh yeah we better better make them move go catch the ship

23:58no my french ain't good enough to get us out of there either you could say oula navier sifu play

24:07kerry and julie are ending their whistle-stop tour of brest by visiting

24:12les etaliers de capucins the largest covered public square in europe to experience a little musical send-off

24:18so this is r1 he's gonna teach us how to play bombard the bomb bomb bomb bomb bomb yeah okay we had a

24:30a musical instrument lesson with an instrument that neither of us had ever come across before

24:34everything in britain is different okay and so is our music okay a little bit familiar because it

24:40it sounds like celtic music yeah one is like the chief of a baguette baguette is like a scottish

24:47bagpipe band you know with the drums and everything and he's the chief so we are very lucky today we

24:52are very lucky to have everyone here oh my goodness that looks uh complicated whoa wow this already looks way

24:59beyond my grasp i play uh a tune yeah please shall we move back it might be advisable kerry

25:17so you had to really purse your lips on the reed

25:39and then sort of i can't do this without blowing a raspberry kind of blow a raspberry down yeah

25:47nothing's coming out julie was just going redder and redder but then again i forget to breathe

25:55so i think you need to breathe and blow it at the same time sort of i did think she might explode at

26:00one point but she's still here to tell the tale so it's all good not lazy okay okay like this

26:07very good she's doing mullet kintyre i mean kerry did do better than me at this

26:19yeah i was quite attached to my eardrums that's good but we did it yeah we did do it we did do it but

26:25he was great i mean he played a lovely tune with it it really was it's quite amazing really

26:37i'm not sure the people in the back heard you there maybe we can say goodbye in breton yeah go on

26:49them we say kenabo kenabo kenabo kenabo kenabo yeah you and i have tried more new things in that past week

26:58than we have ever tried with anyone all out of path after their fun day in brest it's time for these

27:04two to head back to the ship our yorkshire travellers shin and sarah are back on board and have decided to

27:13take part in one of the ship's activities a game of coits so it's pretty simple games on this and it's

27:20very easy to play can you shed more light on it for us ladies no idea what coits though i thought

27:25it was something you put on when you go outside get your coin now all you're going to do is you're

27:30going to have four little rope circles like what sam has got in his hand he's going to throw and try

27:35to get it on to our little contraption over there and hopefully you're going to be better than sam is

27:41oh there we go he's managed to score and he's got the jackpot you know what i take back everything i said

27:47sam i wasn't really sure what to expect to be honest i knew it involved throwing but i wasn't

27:52sure like how the point system worked now this one's five that's 10 15 20 and if you get it in

27:59the middle like sam did it on the last one that's 25 points with the point system explained shin is out

28:04first shin oh a little bit a little bit further oh good effort shin sarah you're up next come on sarah get

28:17one better luck on your next round ladies and janet yeah oh maybe not yeah janet scoring 40 oh janet knows

28:35her coins she's definitely played it before second round one for the team

28:46oh i tell you what that is five points the only way is up i think watch out here comes janet

28:55i wouldn't have expected anything less janet shin and sarah have some competition here i think you're

29:01more competitive than me so you were more confident i think than you're laying on after i limbered up a

29:07bit it probably should have done a stretch class before this trust shin to bring a bit of flair to

29:14quids there we go and she scores yeah she's on a roll nearly oh spoke too soon

29:25hang on when i limbered up i got a good score yeah that was the technique the limbering that helped

29:30score didn't it 20 points i think sarah's getting the hang of this too 40 points there sarah shin

29:48come on shin find your balance she's the ship don't worry last one ah the schools are in finishing

29:59joint last place we have yvonne and shin on 20 points my throwing skills aren't too bad you came last

30:06yeah i know sarah finished on 45 points in second i'm actually surprised that i came second as we all

30:13know sports are not my forte i have other skills and that's fine which does mean that janet with 60

30:19points has won well done janet the quits queen i did enjoy uh coits i believe it is have you ever

30:29played coits before never played it before i did enjoy it though first time coitus now that shin and

30:35sarah have exercised their arms and their aim let's look back to earlier in the week when kerrie

30:41organized a photo shoot for the two of them to celebrate their time away together and julie's

30:46birthday what have you got there now it's time to look at the snaps forget those i went to reception

30:54and picked them up the photography desk oh my god so we've got a few oh let's have a look quickly before

30:59we get ready this is something older now i think wasn't it the photos were great he did and he loved

31:04doing it yeah oh look there we are i've got look you can see we're being windswept i know you can look

31:09at these it was so windy that day i love this he really did an amazing job of the photographs but

31:18we've got hair all over the place yeah it was funny oh look classy birds oh so what room was that

31:26was that outside that was outside oh that is lovely that's nice i like that as well isn't it oh that's

31:33lovely really beautiful that was well worth doing that i think it's time to get our glad i know i'm

31:38looking forward to tonight yeah let's do it time to get the sparkles on and look fabulous darlings

31:43shin and sarah are wasting no time getting spruced up for their final evening on the ship

31:49and it's going to be a fancy one party time yeah i'm very excited actually i've never been to a

31:56formal evening on a ship so you can have this one which is lovely little green number oh a lovely little

32:03green number i do help out my mum with fashion i help you out because you don't have the best sense

32:11of style in the nicest way possible sarah loves fashion and i don't care i think this one prefer

32:17a bit over this one but it's up to you it's your choice are people dressing to the nines or have

32:21people just like gone sort of like half casual or have they really gone for it but there's some

32:26very interesting outfits tonight sparkly or gold now gold goes better actually but the issue is we've

32:34got complete sparkle on you're gonna have to go silver i'm expecting everybody to be dressed up

32:41everybody have enjoying themselves and having a really good time three two one go

32:48she's enjoyed cruise life definitely definitely although i think she's realized she eat too much

32:56i hope like everything fits as well after eating all this food on the cruise

32:59might be a bit tired so we might need a backup outfit don't worry sarah i'm sure you'll look gorgeous

33:05i'm sure if you're in any doubt about whether to go to the gala night or give it a miss get your glad

33:22rags on put your lipstick on and get yourself out there because it is such a special it was lovely

33:27it's a celebratory night as well and i think we all need a bit of that in our lives what do you think oh

33:32lovely with them slippers and talking about getting your glad rags on sarah's finally got

33:38her frock on and she's a vision in red it's definitely a bit tighter than oh i started the

33:43cruise with very glamorous tonight sarah they're always sparkly everybody'll have glitz and glamour on

33:50and they'll all look gorgeous right shall we go for a cheeky cocktail before dinner here we come

33:57hmm it's obviously cocktail o'clock

34:12today our cruise liner docked in the city of brest in the brittany region of france and our two sets of

34:18cruisers spent the day immersing themselves in all things mother nature there's any fish

34:23so i can't see in here and tasted some french local delicacies oh my gosh it's very nice really

34:32good very sweet having made their way back on board the ship our four ladies are gearing up for a night

34:37of glamour and glitz and some fine dining because it's gala night lovely before settling into dinner

34:48kerry and julie are treating themselves to a cocktail and are excited about the final night ahead

34:54is it cocktail hour cocktail time i think it might be in order we'll start it here yeah yeah

35:00thank you thank you very much these look amazing to an absolutely fabulous week and a bit and now it's

35:06been gorgeous and our last night at the gala dinner i can't wait same i'm so looking forward to it yeah

35:14as i said i've never done it before so i'm really looking forward to it kerry has obviously been on

35:18a lot of gala evenings i could hear the excitement in her voice actually explaining to me what goes

35:22on how many courses is it i don't know i was just thinking i don't know because you should know because

35:26you're a seasoned uh cruiser but that's the beauty of cruising because cruise line to cruise line

35:31things are slightly different oh are they you know what they sometimes do like the baked alaska parade

35:35oh do they think oh so hold out hold out see if they're going to do that as well lovely really

35:41special and it was interesting to us to see if we could tag along with somebody and just find out

35:46what they've been doing at all these ports because you know we did everything by ourselves pretty much

35:50cheers to that cheers to everything

35:54and on the top deck shin and sarah are keeping things tropical when it comes to their cocktails

36:00oh i think these are our drinks are they on route i think they are sarah thank you very much

37:07night on any cruise is an event that many veteran cruisers look forward to it's a time to get your

37:13best glad rags on don those dicky bows and feel like a million dollars it's the fine dining experience

37:20where you can settle in and soak up the ambiance bubbles and socialize to your heart's content

37:27it's really busy tonight it's really busy i love it it's because it's the gala dinner where should we

37:32sit that's a very special moment when you're walking through that restaurant

37:36look at these ladies i've not actually experienced a gala night on even though i have cruised i haven't

37:41been to the gala evening hello excuse me are these seats taken no no help yourself thank you so much

37:48thank you so we had uh kerry-ann and julie joined us for dinner nice nice to meet you julie yeah

37:55yeah so have you found everything we haven't seen them before you know because that's another beauty

38:01about the ship you don't always see the same person twice and no oh i'm a i'm a sucker for a bit

38:06excuse me oh you've done that before cheers ladies meeting you two lovely ladies for future cruises

38:17for friendship and family oh it's nice to get to know them and find out what they were about and what

38:23they'd done in the different places we've been so what have you been your favorite places i think it

38:29was gibraltar for me really because i've been to gibraltar before before i was born and i've seen

38:36the changes we had a really special day because it was julie's birthday my birthday yeah my lovely

38:43daughter organized for me to see the captain steer the ship really even though we'd been on the same

38:53ship gone to the same destination they'd done something completely different yeah i'm gonna go be

38:58i'll have the caesar salad please and the um beef uh the salmon there were lots of foods there was

39:07starters appetizers mains desserts wine oh it's bread with the juice thank you what are you having

39:26suck in oh vigo was nice the vigo is lovely because um oh julie wasn't a bike ride i tried to bike

39:35ride but i've learned that me and bikes are not a happy union i feel like it's amazing we've done any

39:40eating with all the talking we do after the week you ladies have had i'm not surprised kerry what else

39:46have you got to share oh we went to the beach didn't we yeah and we had that lovely fish on the beach

40:10there's a reason why we go away okay um i had a a son that's passed away so it's his 20th anniversary

40:19this year and we're celebrating with it that's giving me goosebumps and you know what uh we went to

40:26a lovely church and my favorite colors oh please don't cry it's fine honestly it's all good it's all

40:33good we'll do a nice cheer we're doing a cheers for him yeah ladies what's his name daniel so cheers daniel

40:41and that's another reason why we go on holidays together we make memories so in cadiz we went up

40:50um one of the towers and i think there was a 173 steps to get up there mom had to take a rest a few

40:57times but the view was stunning it's not a huge tower but it's like big enough yeah it's surprising

41:05once you get up there you can literally see like 360 degree views yeah it's beautiful there's one

41:11event all four of our ladies will experience and that's the grand finale of this evening's dinner

41:16a dessert parade made famous in the 1950s has become a bit of a ship tradition it's baked alaska time

41:36i knew there was something going on because obviously there was all these rumors about oh

41:40wait till the end wait till the end blah blah blah i thought what is going on here

41:51i was not expecting like trays on trays on trees of all these baked alaskas

41:59and it was an actual night that i could take my bib off and you could

42:02fling it about absolutely you use that bib for its proper words waving it around at the waiters

42:13it was wonderful

42:16you get a chance to celebrate the waiters the chefs the bakers all of those people you don't see because

42:22they're all hidden behind the galley doors

42:27to actually just see it i just didn't realize how extraordinary it was

42:36fantastic

42:40i think i am converted to cruising now and would definitely go on another cruise

42:45here it comes

42:51yes please so the meringue is very nice nice it's really lovely

43:02i just know that from tomorrow when we get home we'll be cooking for ourselves and it won't be this

43:08having spent the evening enjoying each other's company dressed up to the nines i wonder what our

43:15fun-loving cruisers thought of their final day of the cruise i think it's very difficult to sum it

43:21up in just a few words isn't it but i'll try my best my favorite part was playing the bombard was it

43:28meeting carolina i thought she that was my she was so lovely honestly i'll never forget that woman

43:34because she was just a bag of fun wasn't she yeah i really enjoyed getting ready on the final night

43:40for the gala i believe it was yeah first ever gala it sounds corny it does actually it was really

43:46good fun honestly hand on and yeah there's no better person i would want to go my safety net cruiser

43:53kerry we've had a lovely experience it's created some memories it has and we've fulfilled some firsts

44:01together which has been really really amazing and to just spend quality time together is what it's

44:06all about okay guys so how many sons are you giving today so we are going to rate the last day a sunny

44:15oh it was a magical fun laugh a minute it was adventure yeah it was that will be forever etched in
