00:00:003, 2, 3, 1, 2...
00:00:07Gotta get through these...
00:00:14The first love show.
00:00:16Absolute governor.
00:00:18I am loving dancing.
00:00:24We've become such a family in such a short space of time.
00:00:27I want to see what I am capable of.
00:00:30I'm having such a beautiful time.
00:00:32Now I've had a tear so I feel it.
00:00:34It feels so good.
00:00:38It's a tough journey but I'm here for it.
00:00:40It's the first elimination and someone has to go.
00:00:44Everything starts to get a little bit real now.
00:00:48I'm desperate for this journey to carry on.
00:00:50Every step matters.
00:00:53The competition is fierce.
00:00:56Every dance you have to make count.
00:00:59It is knockout now.
00:01:01No one is safe.
00:01:03Safe.
00:01:08Oh!
00:02:09Get to have your say as we open the vote for the very first time.
00:02:13And here's four people who will also be making their opinions known.
00:02:17Please welcome the judges.
00:02:19Great Rebel Horwood and Moxie Mabuse.
00:02:26Shirley Ballas and Anton Dupin.
00:03:00The judges' scores from last week have been carried over and will be added to tonight's.
00:03:04And we'll then combine these with your votes and the bottom two couples will be left to face the dance-off.
00:03:10For the very first time each week, a different judge will have the casting vote for the dance-off.
00:03:16We will find out who has this responsibility at the end of tonight's show.
00:03:23Can't wait.
00:03:24With the first elimination looming, they are all looking to impress you tonight.
00:03:28So please welcome our Strictly Stars.
00:05:34Welcome all.
00:05:35We are genuinely so excited to see you all perform again.
00:05:38Our judges delivered quite the range of scores last weekend from 31 to 10.
00:05:45In fact it was the biggest difference between top and bottom of a week one leaderboard for 20 years.
00:05:52But with brand new routines to perform anything could happen tonight.
00:05:56We're about to start the dancing so please remember the audio description is live on BBC One or series.
00:06:01You can select it on your TV remote and for details of how to watch a show with BSL you can go to BBC iPlayer.
00:06:07Now dancing first for us tonight it is Lavoie and her partner Aliens.
00:06:14Hello.
00:06:19The jive is fast.
00:06:20Kick, kick, kick.
00:06:21Kick in my head.
00:06:22It's this.
00:06:23The hand jive.
00:06:24That's all I know.
00:06:25It's a fast-paced dance.
00:06:27A lot of kicks.
00:06:28Kick, kick, kicks and flicks.
00:06:30Kick, kick, kick.
00:06:31And the energy.
00:06:32You're like five, six and I'm like yeah let's go.
00:06:35I've got one of my tour shows this week so there's a lot going on.
00:06:37It's not just the jive, it's touring.
00:06:39Who does that?
00:06:40I'm gonna go see Lavoie's show.
00:06:43I've been dying to see this.
00:06:45I don't know what to expect.
00:06:46I got my Britney mic.
00:06:48We're ready.
00:06:49Welcome, welcome to the Madness.
00:06:53This is wonderful.
00:06:54I'm currently doing Strictly that's why.
00:06:59I'm walking a bit funny and I'm exhausted.
00:07:02I cannot carry on in tap shoes.
00:07:09Is there anyone anywhere who could bring on my shoe?
00:07:12Hello everyone!
00:07:15I'm having the best time with this man.
00:07:18Should we show you a bit of the routine?
00:07:20Yes!
00:07:21Woo!
00:07:22Woo-hoo!
00:07:23Woo!
00:07:24Woo-hoo!
00:07:25Woo-hoo!
00:07:26Woo!
00:07:27Woo-hoo!
00:07:28Woo-hoo!
00:07:29Wow!
00:07:30You're incredible!
00:07:31Oh my god they went crazy for you, I loved it!
00:07:33I'm blown away by you, honestly.
00:07:34Aw!
00:07:35I'm so inspired, that was brilliant.
00:07:36If we can get a little bit of that on a Saturday on Strictly floor we're gonna be golden.
00:07:45floor we're gonna be golden yes we need to channel that dancing the job not rock
00:07:56and alias
00:08:15it's not a fact that she's so irresistible all the damage she's caused is infixable
00:08:25objection i don't want to be the exception to get a bit of your attention i know you're free
00:08:33and i'm not your mother but you don't even bother objection i'm tired of this triangle
00:08:41got a dizzy dancing tango falling apart in your hands again
00:08:46no way i got you get away
00:08:54this is pathetic and sadonic and sadistic and psychotic tango is not for free was never meant
00:08:59to be but you can try it don't you count on me don't you count on me boy objection i don't
00:09:07want to be the exception to get a bit of your attention i know you're free and i'm not your
00:09:14mother but you don't even bother objection i'm tired of this triangle
00:09:20got dizzy dancing tango falling apart in your hands again
00:09:25not away
00:09:27i got to get away
00:09:31get away
00:09:34get away
00:09:48well done
00:09:49well done
00:09:51Oh
00:09:57My gosh first the pony didn't fail. We thought that was gonna be a tango
00:10:03Blackpool dance festival 1983
00:10:07One thing's for sure you still know how to put on a show. Thank you and you clearly used to work at Bullens
00:10:12Well first of all you certainly know how to push her strengths which is a personality and the narrative
00:10:28So that's a plus that's gonna carry you a long way in this show
00:10:31Jive should have a lot more rotation than this actually had but for a beginner
00:10:35That's never done jive before you actually had quite a good knee bounce
00:10:39just something for everybody to look up for there was eight sets of eight before you started to dance your jive and
00:10:45Four sets of eight in the middle where you didn't do any jive and I think you're a better dancer than that
00:10:49So bear in mind when you put little bits on the beginning keep it short because we really want to be entertained with your dancing
00:11:02I know there's any fear of not being entertained with your dancing
00:11:05Amazing all your your skill and your attributes come to the floor as soon as you start performing your timing is immaculate
00:11:12Your dance timing is perfect your comedic tummy as we which we know is is absolutely bang on as well
00:11:17When you're doing the jive section there your kicks and flicks of which there were a lot your standing foot was pretty placed on the floor
00:11:23So you can give in a bounce think the free leg was working beautifully you'll be delighted to hear so you're halfway there essentially
00:11:30You don't want to teach me about the sound
00:11:40You say it doesn't matter they won't notice
00:11:42I know but just to know
00:11:53A little bit more weight darling over the toe that's sort of like leaning forward a little bit
00:11:59Slip on the standing leg of course looked a bit flat from here
00:12:04Um, but what I did love about it was you kept it completely and deliciously compact
00:12:10And as anton said your personality and comic timing is exquisite
00:12:22I'm so pleased all week he's been saying keep your legs together and I was thinking so much that worked really hard on that
00:12:29Good advice
00:12:31Thank you
00:12:33It helps, it helps, it helps keep the legs together and everything is good
00:12:38So I'm gonna try
00:12:40I don't know
00:12:41Hey, this one might be for you, listen
00:12:43Safety first
00:12:45I would love to speak about the upper part of the body because that's quite important as well
00:12:50So the legs tied together the upper part of the body needs to breathe and be a little bit more flexible
00:12:56So if we get a little bit more movement there, then you can chica boom chica boom
00:13:03And downstairs tight, but you're always an entertaining with a lot of class and I enjoyed it
00:13:16Show in your own unique style. Thank you. Thank you. It was jive. Thank you
00:13:26Thank you
00:13:28I love you
00:13:30Oh
00:13:32Come on
00:13:34Oh
00:13:36By the way, we all just need two hours of that
00:13:40Is you replaying to the judges
00:13:42I'm too busy learning dancing, aren't we?
00:13:44I'm petrifying
00:13:46Going first hideous
00:13:48Going first and of course Karen and Lewis were like incredible doing the jive last week
00:13:53I mean once an athlete one was in doing tapping Billy Elliot all I've done is JD sports once a week and the only tap I know is in screw fix
00:13:59I mean it's terrible Claudia
00:14:01No, you did fantastically well, didn't you proud?
00:14:04Tremendously well, I mean I've never really had fun in doing jive in my life before and this was more than that
00:14:08What a weird place to say that but I'm pleased you did
00:14:10I'm pleased you did
00:14:11I'm pleased you did
00:14:12I'm pleased you did
00:14:13I'm pleased you did

00:16:30Last Saturday Karen became the first footballer to top the leaderboard in 18 years
00:16:3518 years with that incredible jive
00:16:37Nobody saw that coming for week one least of all Karen
00:16:44Saturday was sensational
00:16:46I don't think I've ever seen myself that happy since I played
00:16:50Look I get emotional
00:16:54Boom
00:16:55The tango is a fierce dance
00:16:57Every movement has to be powerful and the frame is to be strong
00:17:01Every time you in frame that's the feeling
00:17:04I have this thing called Germans
00:17:06I had it since I was a kid
00:17:08It's a curve in my spine
00:17:11It's really, really hard for me to open my back off
00:17:14There's certain elements that I just won't be able to do as well as I'd love to
00:17:19But Carlos is really supportive, really encouraging
00:17:22Wow, that was great!
00:17:24It is a challenging week doing the tango
00:17:26But I've got my best mate Jill Scott coming in today to record the podcast
00:17:31And I can't wait to see her
00:17:32Hello!
00:17:37Hello, lovely to meet you
00:17:39But I've come to see you last
00:17:40I need to do a podcast
00:17:43How has Kaz been?
00:17:44She's incredible
00:17:45I didn't know that she has that drive and performance side of her
00:17:48When the lights go on, that's when Karen Carney is on leave
00:17:52You know that?
00:17:53I'm so proud of Karen
00:17:55And whatever happens, she's a winner
00:17:57He keeps saying be a lioness
00:17:59And I'm like...
00:18:00That's more like a pussycat
00:18:03It was so nice having Jill with us today
00:18:07But it's time for us to tango
00:18:09Alright, let's do it
00:18:13Dancing the tango
00:18:15Karen Carney and Carlos Goodie
00:18:27Are you, you
00:18:30Someone that I can get my heart to
00:18:33Or just the poison that I'm drawn to
00:18:38It can be hard to tell the difference day and night
00:18:46But if you really want to tell me
00:18:49You should know
00:18:51I need someone to hold me close
00:18:53Deeper than I've ever known
00:18:55Whose love goes like a rodeo
00:18:57Knows just how to take control
00:18:59When I'm vulnerable
00:19:01Be straight talking to myself
00:19:03Conversational
00:19:04But I'm
00:19:05Got me feeling vertical
00:19:09Are you somebody who can go away?
00:19:12Cause training season's hunger
00:19:15Can you compete?
00:19:17Now is your time
00:19:19Run when you hear that whistle
00:19:21That whistle
00:19:22For someone to tell you to go?
00:19:24For someone to tell you to go
00:19:26You should know
00:19:27I need someone to hold me far
00:19:28Deeper than I've ever known
00:19:29To as love goes like a rodeo
00:19:30Knows just how to take control
00:19:31When I'm vulnerable
00:19:32When I'm vulnerable
00:19:33Be straight talking to myself
00:19:34Conversational
00:19:35On the alone
00:19:36To as love goes like a rodeo
00:19:37Knows just how to take control
00:19:38When I'm vulnerable
00:19:39Be straight talking to myself
00:19:40Conversational
00:19:42On the alone
00:19:43Cause training season's hunger
00:19:50Training season's hunger
00:19:52When you're at the end of the world
00:19:57Come on Karen
00:19:59Oh I love that
00:20:13The attitude
00:20:14Thank you
00:20:15Oh yeah
00:20:16Wills
00:20:17Expect nothing less from our lioness Motsey
00:20:20Yes, obviously, first of all,
00:20:22thank you for sharing with us about your curved spine.
00:20:26It's going to be something that we have to challenge here
00:20:28to see how far we can really stretch and open up
00:20:32because it's a ballroom dance
00:20:33and there's a specific posture that we need.
00:20:36That being said, last week you were top of the leaderboard
00:20:40and there was a bit of an ease in the way you attacked.
00:20:43This week I could feel the nerves.
00:20:45There was a bit of a jitterbug everywhere.
00:20:47Every spin, great spins by the way,
00:20:49lots of speed and attack,
00:20:50but there was a slight jitterbug with everything that you did.
00:20:54It happens, it happens to us all,
00:20:56so I think you kind of just have to think about breathing,
00:21:00thinking about loosing up, connecting to your partner,
00:21:04and really understanding fundamentals.
00:21:06Lower in the tango and the arms,
00:21:08finish your arms using the correct footwork
00:21:11and then we will get there.
00:21:14Fair enough.
00:21:16Bound to be nerves.
00:21:18Not to live up to from last week, Shirley.
00:21:19Well, I think, Carlos, if you work to keep a well over to your right side,
00:21:24would be a great start with the ballroom
00:21:26because it looks a little bit closed in.
00:21:28So the inside of Carlos's right leg,
00:21:30the inside of your right leg, if you're pivoting,
00:21:32you should be working around his right leg.
00:21:34What happened was it crossed over a little bit
00:21:36and then you can kind of see every mistake that happens.
00:21:39But the things I liked at the beginning,
00:21:40you're going to do a great Paso.
00:21:42I can already tell when that comes up
00:21:43because you've got such precision in what you do.
00:21:46It was a cross between Paso and tango, if I'm perfectly honest.
00:21:49I didn't mind it too much,
00:21:51but I do like to see a little bit more authentic tango.
00:21:54But you've got something that, when you go out there,
00:21:56you're used to competing and you've got this in your mind
00:21:59and you move forward and you're quite precise
00:22:02in some of the things that you do.
00:22:03So keep working on the right side of his body,
00:22:06get that in order first, then tackle a little bit of footwork.
00:22:09So well done.
00:22:12OK.
00:22:13In your wing too, isn't it?
00:22:14Anton?
00:22:15Yeah, I agree completely.
00:22:16I don't want to focus too much on the body position,
00:22:19but it is something that you can carry forward
00:22:21into your other dances in the ballroom world.
00:22:23Now, Shirley's absolutely right.
00:22:24The further right you go,
00:22:25but I think you can cheat it a bit more than that.
00:22:27I think you can open yourself up.
00:22:29Can I borrow you, Dame Scherls, just for a second,
00:22:32because you've got very square in here,
00:22:34which made you come very close.
00:22:36I think if you just open very slightly here,
00:22:38so you're on the angle,
00:22:39so you're sort of on the corner of his body a little bit,
00:22:43this will give you naturally a bit more space up here.
00:22:45Then you'll feel a bit more relaxed
00:22:47and you won't get so tense in the shoulder.
00:22:48It's just a little bit here.
00:22:49Just a little bit inside,
00:22:50and that creates tension.
00:22:52You feel like there's nowhere to go.
00:22:54Get on the right side, open.
00:22:55I think this is going to be the key to everything.
00:22:57Just open your body ever so slightly,
00:22:59so you feel like you're perpetually in promenade,
00:23:01but close your head and you'll be fine,
00:23:02because I think you've got so much to offer,
00:23:04and you bring so much, your timing,
00:23:06your cleanness of your dance, your spins,
00:23:09all of that stuff.
00:23:10I think you're going to be a powerhouse in this competition.
00:23:16Yeah, tango obviously should be more of a Y-frame,
00:23:19so there's more air between your bodies in that way,
00:23:22even though you're joined at the hip.
00:23:24That was a little bit Argentine tango-esque, actually,
00:23:27but I found the whole thing a little bit skippy,
00:23:30I've got to be honest,
00:23:31and it should be sort of just prowling on one level.
00:23:34Some awkwardness in the underarm turns,
00:23:37and I think that's just probably an arm position that you can fix.
00:23:41But, you know, you were driving that, my darling,
00:23:44and you hit some really amazingly strong lines,
00:23:47and beautiful aren't you?
00:23:48Thank you. Thank you for being on your hands.
00:23:51Lots of feedback to take on board there, Karen?
00:23:53You know what?
00:23:54I absolutely take on the feedback,
00:23:56and thank you very much.
00:23:57You know what?
00:23:58I had a great time,
00:23:59and that's how many I knew there was mistakes,
00:24:01but this is strictly,
00:24:02and I'm having the best time,
00:24:03so I'll take on the feedback.
00:24:05That's what we like to hear.
00:24:06And it's only week two,
00:24:10so you're doing brilliantly.
00:24:12Thank you so much.
00:24:14Thank you, thank you.
00:24:15Thank Karen O'Connell.
00:24:28You are so lovely,
00:24:29because you take those comments on,
00:24:30and they were very constructive, I thought.
00:24:32Did they make sense?
00:24:33Oh, they did, yeah,
00:24:34and look, I'm used to football, kind of.
00:24:36Yeah.
00:24:37Not criticism,
00:24:38but constructive criticism,
00:24:40and also sometimes feedback from football
00:24:42in a brutal way,
00:24:43but that was beautiful.
00:24:44I take them on board.
00:24:45I want to be better,
00:24:47and I acknowledge that,
00:24:48and I tried my hardest,
00:24:49and that's what you can do in life.
00:24:50Yes, you did.
00:24:51Brilliantly,
00:24:52and also, Carlos,
00:24:53for this dance,
00:24:54you have, like, four days.
00:24:55For the first one,
00:24:56you have so much longer.
00:24:57Did you really notice the difference?
00:24:58Do you know what?
00:24:59Like, the first week,
00:25:00you're doing the jive, you know,
00:25:01hot to dance,
00:25:02perfectionism,
00:25:03and this week, 200 steps,
00:25:04and 40 footworks,
00:25:05listen to me,
00:25:0640 footworks,
00:25:07and having a posture against your natural body.
00:25:09So, it's like I'm trying to become a chef
00:25:11after watching three TikToks.
00:25:12Yes.
00:25:13How is that even possible?
00:25:14Yeah.
00:25:15Very good analogy.
00:25:16I like it.
00:25:17Longchem Lioness is in the audience.
00:25:18Oh, she is, yeah.
00:25:19We saw Jill Scott,
00:25:20one of your greatest friends.
00:25:21How important is it to have the support?
00:25:23You know what?
00:25:24The lionesses obviously mean so much to me,
00:25:26and obviously women's sport,
00:25:27so we've backed each other,
00:25:29and we always will,
00:25:30and that's the way it will always be,
00:25:32so I'm grateful for their support.
00:25:33Well, well done.
00:25:34Good luck.
00:25:35Scores are in.
00:25:36Will the judges please reveal their scores?
00:25:39Craig Revelhall.
00:25:40Four.
00:25:41What?
00:25:43Motsi Mabusei.
00:25:44Five.
00:25:47Shirley Ballas.
00:25:48Five.
00:25:50Anton Dubeck.
00:25:51Six.
00:25:52Nice.
00:25:53Yay!
00:25:57So, the cast and Carlos,
00:25:58please use the information on your screen now
00:26:02to sign in or register later tonight
00:26:04after all of our couples have performed.
00:26:06Still to come,
00:26:07Ellie and Vito waltz to Elton John.
00:26:10We cannot wait.
00:26:12Tess.
00:26:13Next tonight,
00:26:14it is Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank
00:26:16and his partner Lauren.
00:26:17Now, last Saturday,
00:26:18after Jimmy's quick step,
00:26:19Motsi asked him to work on spreading the joy
00:26:22he feels inside.
00:26:24Love that.
00:26:25So, tonight he's planning on letting loose
00:26:27with the cha-cha.
00:26:28I am doing the cha-cha-cha.
00:26:35Forward and cha-cha-cha.
00:26:37The cha-cha is so different than the quick step.
00:26:41Quick, quick, slow.
00:26:43But it is a lot of fun.
00:26:44Look at how he's going.
00:26:45Enjoy it but not that much.
00:26:46Yeah.
00:26:47Let's dance like nobody's watching.
00:26:49There's a lot of choreography in the cha-cha-cha.
00:26:52Forward and cha-cha-cha.
00:26:54It's very hippy.
00:26:55One, two, three, four.
00:26:57And I need to let my hips go.
00:26:59Da, da.
00:27:00See those hips.
00:27:01I am really trying.
00:27:03Keep going.
00:27:04Ah!
00:27:05Jimmy!
00:27:06One thing that I am learning about Jimmy
00:27:09is that he gets really frustrated in some moments
00:27:12when he gets in his head and he's thinking too much.
00:27:15I'm missing this step.
00:27:16I do get frustrated with myself.
00:27:18No, sorry, sorry.
00:27:20I go wrong when I'm like...
00:27:21Yeah, I want to get it in my head.
00:27:23My background is obviously the football
00:27:26but you have that winner mentality.
00:27:28But I'm doing it too early.
00:27:30So you're really hard on yourself
00:27:32while you actually need to give yourself
00:27:34a little bit more grace.
00:27:35The actual movements,
00:27:36you know how to do naturally.
00:27:38Nobody gets that ever
00:27:39and you're already doing it.
00:27:45I have had fun learning this dance
00:27:47and I'm really excited to do this
00:27:49on Saturday night with Lauren.
00:27:57Dancing with Cha-cha,
00:27:58Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank
00:28:00and Lauren Oakley.
00:28:01Probably not a good dimensional
00:28:07anger character.
00:28:09Happy New Year!
00:28:11Whoo!
00:28:15Yeah!
00:28:18Bye!
00:28:19Aww!
00:28:20Look out!
00:28:22askedintellink
00:28:24how to remain
00:28:25with someone like
00:28:26With someone like that, you knew before
00:28:29Between the two of us guys, you know I love you more
00:28:33It took me by surprise, I'm not safe
00:28:37When I found out yesterday
00:28:41Won't you know that I heard it through the wave fight
00:28:45Not much longer would you be mine
00:28:49Oh, I heard it through the wave fight
00:28:53Oh, and I'm just about to lose my mind
00:28:57Honey, honey, yeah
00:28:59Oh, and I'm just about to lose my mind
00:29:09Oh, and I'm just about to lose my mind
00:29:12I heard it through the grapevine
00:29:24I'm stronger than you'd be my baby
00:29:27Bet you're wondering how I knew
00:29:30I heard it through the grapevine
00:29:32I'm stronger than you'd be my baby
00:29:35I could tell the smile on your face
00:30:01Obviously?
00:30:03Amazing
00:30:05Afterwards
00:30:07Did it make you smile for me?
00:30:09Well, it was a little bit heavy, I've got to be honest
00:30:12And I think your arms need sorting out
00:30:15I love this Cuban style cha-cha-cha
00:30:19I've got to say, I absolutely love it
00:30:20And darling, those hips were swinging so much
00:30:23They were
00:30:24Hitting the front row, darling
00:30:26I loved it
00:30:28Excellent
00:30:29Did you see the joy?
00:30:30Yes, definitely
00:30:31There was joy in the hips
00:30:33Joy in the face
00:30:35It was earthy
00:30:36I wouldn't say heavy
00:30:37I would say earthy
00:30:38It's down to earth
00:30:39There's light cha-cha-chas where people straighten their knees
00:30:42You went another route, which is okay
00:30:44But I actually love the fact that you enjoyed yourself
00:30:47Last week it looked so concentrated
00:30:49I would like for you to work on your leg action
00:30:52When is the knee bend and when it's straightened
00:30:55But you've got a Latin feeling and we love it
00:30:58I love it
00:31:00Yes
00:31:01Thank you, thank you
00:31:02I love that feeling
00:31:04Shirley
00:31:05Well, I actually think many, many moons ago when Doris Lavelle went to Cuba
00:31:09She actually brought back the cha-cha
00:31:11And then she made it all into straighten the leg here and straighten the leg there
00:31:14But you have what we call, you go on the streets of Cuba
00:31:17This is the feeling that you will get
00:31:19Everybody's kind of down
00:31:20It's got the rhythm going
00:31:22It's not all so structured
00:31:24So it had an absolutely fabulous feeling
00:31:27I don't agree it was heavy
00:31:28I'd rather choose the word grounded
00:31:30Yes
00:31:31You actually did some sweethearts in there
00:31:33Some syncopated Cuban breaks
00:31:34Which we made up
00:31:35You know they're not in Cuba
00:31:36But we made them up here
00:31:37But here
00:31:38But you know in England
00:31:39We did it
00:31:40We took the steps from them
00:31:41Was I involved?
00:31:42Oh I see
00:31:43But all in all
00:31:44You've got a great chemistry together
00:31:46You lighten up the room
00:31:47I thought you did a grand job
00:31:48Well done
00:31:49Thank you
00:31:50Thank you
00:31:51Yes
00:31:52Woo
00:31:53I loved it
00:31:55Loved it
00:31:56Yes
00:31:57Yes
00:31:58That's exactly the cha-cha I like
00:32:00I like that cha-cha
00:32:01That cube
00:32:02It's a cube
00:32:03I don't want the straight legs
00:32:04Straight legs make me want to be sick
00:32:06I hate straight legs
00:32:07There
00:32:08Straight legs
00:32:09No
00:32:10Benjamin I like it
00:32:11This is cha-cha
00:32:12This is how cha-cha is supposed to be
00:32:13That was what cha-cha was
00:32:14That's the cha-cha-cha
00:32:15Thank you very much
00:32:16We said cha-cha-cha
00:32:17You did cha-cha-cha
00:32:18I like it
00:32:19Thank you very much
00:32:20Thank you
00:32:21Thank you
00:32:22Thank you
00:32:23I think we all loved watching that performance
00:32:25You've done your partner
00:32:26Very proud
00:32:27Very proud
00:32:28I'm so happy
00:32:29Well done
00:32:30Thank you
00:32:31Thank you
00:32:32Thank you
00:32:33Thank you
00:32:34Yay
00:32:37Well done
00:32:39You looked so relieved
00:32:40And so happy when that was done
00:32:42Because it is a tricky dance
00:32:44We found out that Anton can't abide straight legs
00:32:47It's good to know
00:32:48We love Anton
00:32:49Talk to me about the alter ego
00:32:50Because it helped this thing
00:32:51Yes, we had an alter ego
00:32:52We invented Jaime
00:32:53Oh
00:32:54Yes
00:32:55Which apparently is Jaime in Spanish
00:32:56But then that's Jimmy in Spanish
00:32:57And I don't know
00:32:58Just with a ha
00:32:59Yeah
00:33:00You went with it
00:33:01My favourite thing is you say Lauren who we know is the sweetest woman on the planet is actually tougher than she looks
00:33:13No she is
00:33:14She's sweet
00:33:15She's sweet
00:33:16But when it has to be work it's no Jimmy work
00:33:19Yeah
00:33:20I love it
00:33:21Good to know

00:33:55Still to come
00:33:56Tom and Amy dance to Bonkers
00:33:57Guys
00:33:58How bonkers are we talking?
00:33:59We've played it very safe this week
00:34:01It's very not bonkers
00:34:02It's completely opposite quiet
00:34:03Nothing dangerous
00:34:04Very slow
00:34:05Mild
00:34:06Like a chicken korma
00:34:07Mild
00:34:08Mild
00:34:09Know exactly what you mean
00:34:10Your dream breakfast I imagine
00:34:12Tess
00:34:13I'm intrigued
00:34:14Last week the top two positions on the leaderboard were both jives
00:34:18And one of them came from our next couple
00:34:20So we've got high hopes for his Viennese Waltz
00:34:22It is Lewis and Katia
00:34:29This week is the Viennese Waltz
00:34:31I will be breaking down every single element
00:34:37The first figure that anybody would learn is a natural turn
00:34:40Which means the leader will continuously turn to their right
00:34:45The first step commences on a heel
00:34:47And it's a big driving step
00:34:50Step two is a side step
00:34:52You're going to create width
00:34:54As you load your knee
00:34:55You're going to stay high on the ball of your foot
00:34:58So the heel doesn't touch the floor
00:35:00Surely we'll be looking out for that
00:35:02On the count of three
00:35:04We're going to complete our step by exchanging weight
00:35:07Drag that foot flat
00:35:09Soft knees
00:35:10Release
00:35:11And then we can release
00:35:12Release
00:35:13Beautiful
00:35:14We'll step backwards with our left to complete the full rotation
00:35:17I am loving the elegance
00:35:19I'm finding it difficult
00:35:20There's a lot of components
00:35:22In the reverse turn
00:35:24We're going to be crossing one foot in front of the other
00:35:27To constantly rotate to the left
00:35:29It wouldn't be Viennese Waltz without a Fleckle
00:35:32The Fleckle is this crazy screw-a-rooney that stays on the spot
00:35:38Do you stay on one level or is that up and down?
00:35:41No, we must stay on one level
00:35:44For me to do this dance justice
00:35:46I not only need to get the emotion right
00:35:49But I need to get the technique right
00:35:50So all I have to do is put all that together for Saturday night
00:35:53Somehow
00:35:54Dancing the Viennese Waltz
00:35:59Lewis Cope and Katya Jones
00:36:09Something got a hold of me lately
00:36:12Oh, I don't know myself any more
00:36:18Feels like the walls are all closing in
00:36:21And the devil's knocking at my door
00:36:26Oh, oh, oh, oh
00:36:27Out of my mind
00:36:28How many times did I tell you
00:36:31I'm no good at being alone
00:36:35Yeah, sticking a toll on me
00:36:38Trying my best to keep
00:36:40From tearing the skin on my bones
00:36:43Don't you know
00:36:45I lose control
00:36:46I lose control
00:36:52When you're not next to me
00:36:54When you're not next to me
00:36:56I'm falling apart man in front of you
00:37:01Can't you see?
00:37:02To see
00:37:28When you're not next to me
00:37:32Mmm
00:37:34I'm falling apart, baby
00:37:36Like a mess of me
00:37:40Thank you
00:37:42Thank you
00:37:44Thank you
00:37:52Thank you
00:37:54Thank you
00:37:56Thank you
00:37:58Thank you
00:38:00Thank you
00:38:02Thank you
00:38:04Whoo created the atmosphere there. That's very powerful. That was brilliant. It really was. As was Tommy blaze on vocals
00:38:19Shall we Anton power you were right when you said powerful that was rule power. Oh, come on
00:38:34I like the two worlds combining. I love that old-fashioned dance the Viennese was the oldest of all the dances coming together
00:38:40There's very modern take on it. Wow. I keep using the word powerful. It was now
00:38:46You're very talented that I think we can all see that you're super so for you. It's about refinement
00:38:52It's just from this point on already. We're only week two
00:38:55We're already going to be talking about refinement and I want you to and it's difficult
00:38:59I want you to keep the power once you keep the passion. I want you to keep the intensity. It's so good
00:39:04But I need refinement otherwise. It's just crash bang wallet pushing her around all over the place catches getting thrown
00:39:09They're right and center so I need quality of life. I need subtlety in movement you you embrace those things and wow
00:39:23In this dance you almost need to think like a spawn darling
00:39:26There's a lot of stuff going on underneath the surface, but on the top. It's smooth elegant and gorgeous
00:39:32I felt your natural and reverse turns were a little bit up and down for me
00:39:41Agree with my dear friend and
00:39:45Power power power and I love the idea of putting a passionate tango sort of idea on top of the walls brilliant stuff
00:39:56That's brilliant
00:39:58I mean this is your first ballroom dance and if I think about your jive last week
00:40:02I do feel that you have improved on refinement. I do feel that it has to be more obviously and we expect
00:40:09Waltz to look a certain way and this is maybe a more modern interpretation
00:40:14But of course make the judges happy get that in tuck it in everything keep it tight
00:40:18But I love the fact that you have the control of these explosive moments and then come back to your partner
00:40:25What I do need just a little bit more is when you connect with her on the ballroom part that it's smoother more together
00:40:33But this I don't see it quite often there's wildness of exploding body and then come back to your own body
00:40:40So work on that, but I see already improvement already
00:40:42Well, maybe I'm a little bit more old-school
00:40:49I don't know but there's the music that plays and then there's the movement that goes and the melody of that music was really quite refined and soft
00:40:57And I found it all too aggressive now. Let me tell you hold on hold on hold on
00:41:02Hold on please hold on if you never worked on power another day in your life
00:41:07You do yourself a favor you're gifted in it. You can jump you can split you can go you can do this
00:41:13You can do that tick all those boxes, but then when you get hold of your lady
00:41:17There's something like a long neck there is something like posture. I'm not saying it has to be perfect
00:41:22When you create a line you can have the most ugly line and it can still look beautiful
00:41:27So for you when he talks about refinement, that's what he means. He means about this one like neck
00:41:32I get your power. I love everything about you think you're destined for for greatness in this competition
00:41:37But for me being surrounded by it for years
00:41:40I don't see the crash band wallop that everybody else sees I would like to see more refinement and the beauty of what you
00:41:52In the right direction, I think we all enjoyed it
00:42:02That dance was phenomenal like Karen was screaming. He's amazing
00:42:16Did you enjoy it so different from the jive? Oh, yeah feel quite weird physically? Yeah
00:42:22I mean, it's a million miles away, isn't it? It's like you're starting all over again every single week
00:42:26Yeah, I'm just I understand what they're saying. I'd like to work on all of that as well
00:42:30Obviously, it's brand new a couple of days in there. Hopefully I can improve and get better on you work so hard on the fleckle
00:42:36How important is it what's really important? It's a dance competition the pronunciation was a struggle, but it's a dance competition after all and it's a
00:42:45finding that right balance of
00:42:47Showcasing his talent which you know would be criminal for me not to but also
00:42:51Implementing all the technical things that judges going to appreciate so we're finding that balance, but I'm I'm just loving his natural
00:42:58Instincts, you know, and I the last thing I want to do is to crush them. Yeah, correct
00:43:05Not in week two
00:43:07Your brother is here. He is and you didn't even give him the ticket. No, I managed to get one through the ballets
00:43:15Fantastic good luck which brother very good point

00:44:03Olympic sprinter Harry you're taking on the quick step. That must have been a breeze
00:44:07Mmm, you would have thought so but no no, it really wasn't yeah
00:44:12I'm used to running that way but turning that way holding this doing no. Yeah, all right, but we are still looking forward to it
00:44:19Don't panic test
00:44:22Coming up next on the dance floor is Alex Kingston and her partner Johannes now tonight
00:44:27Alex is taking us to South America for a samba and she's hoping to bring the party these four are ready to go
00:44:44So we are dancing the small
00:44:48judges are going to be looking for that bounce with them and
00:44:51And good posture
00:44:55The joy of the music and the dance
00:44:58Isn't in me yet. I'm forgetting about the joy and of course that's a disaster because it's all about a fiesta and having fun
00:45:05I've got just the thing for Alex
00:45:07Oh
00:45:13It was such a shock
00:45:15What a wonderful shock
00:45:19I have brought you here today just for you to capture the spirit of what somebody is
00:45:24Just hearing that rhythmic percussive music you cannot help but smile and dance
00:45:30Samba for me. It's a rhythm that is for born from the community to tell the stories from the past to tell the stories of the future
00:45:38Then it guides you the way that you feel that it's going to guide you well
00:45:42But I have to say after this experience. I could see her light up a little bit
00:45:46And I'm certain that this might have just eased that fear of the Samba
00:45:56I'm hoping that I'll be able to bring that joy and energy into my dance
00:46:04On and on and on and on
00:46:06No
00:46:10Dancing the Samba
00:46:12Alex Kingston and Johannes Radigal

00:47:56Listen to that. People are on their feet. Well done.
00:48:13I'm dying. I know you really wanted to nail that.
00:48:17I did. You did so, so well.
00:48:18I didn't completely nail this if I'm honest, but I tried.
00:48:22Well, let's see what the judges say.
00:48:24Wow, wow, wow. I didn't expect that.
00:48:27That was a real surprise.
00:48:29I don't know what I expected.
00:48:30But this was a surprise.
00:48:32I absolutely love the fluidity in that.
00:48:34You never look stressed. The timing was brilliant.
00:48:37I love you coming to Anton.
00:48:39Da-da-da, beautiful.
00:48:40Oh, come on.
00:48:41You guys didn't see it.
00:48:46It's really beautiful party dance.
00:48:48That's the samba we love.
00:48:51Yes.
00:48:52Shirley.
00:48:54First of all, hold on.
00:48:55It's the dreaded samba, right?
00:48:56It's the dreaded samba.
00:48:57I have to say this is probably one of the better sambas I've seen in a long time.
00:49:01Hold on, hold on. Hold on. Hold on.
00:49:02I'm running up to the international championships at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday.
00:49:07It's the biggest championship we have in the world.
00:49:08I'm forever telling people to lower their heels.
00:49:09You lowered every heels.
00:49:10You did the perfect stationary samba walk.
00:49:11Your vaulters were great.
00:49:12Your slow vaulters were great.
00:49:13Your promenade runs were great.
00:49:14You understated on everything you did.
00:49:15You didn't bash one ball up in anybody's face.
00:49:16You just came out there and you danced one of the best samba.
00:49:21Oh, this is wonderful.
00:49:22I'm just saying.
00:49:23Just saying.
00:49:24Just saying.
00:49:25Just saying.
00:49:26I'm just saying.
00:49:27I love it.
00:49:29You came across and you looked at me and went, beautiful.
00:49:31And I thought it was beautiful.
00:49:32I've just been so excited and disappointed in everything you did.
00:49:35You did.
00:49:36You didn't bash one ball up in anybody's face.
00:49:37You just came out there and you danced one of the best samba.
00:49:39I love you came across and you look at me with beautiful and I thought you were
00:49:55talking to me I have to tell you I I just it is brilliant I love
00:50:09I thought it could have done with a little bit more tone
00:50:21the feet do tend to want to go parallel instead of slightly turning out and I also thought there
00:50:29could have been some more hip rotation on the vaulters now you did a classic range of steps
00:50:36which I absolutely loved and I've got to say you dance them
00:51:06I am so happy for you but I have never in my life seen you when Shirley was lift it's like listing
00:51:20them off you were like that you found that in you desperate to do it probably you found it quite
00:51:26hard I did find it hard I found it much harder than I anticipated it would be yeah yeah so complex the
00:51:33hip rotation you know it's so you can talk your body in these sort of different ways and ah it's
00:51:40not what I was expecting Jojo it was all about fun and musicality this week wasn't it but you also
00:51:45must have got so much technique in it I did and I didn't tell her anything about it because summer
00:51:51is my favorite dance but I just said to us it will get through it and what I love about it that she's
00:51:56got no fear so I throw all the crazy stuff and see what happens well done okay we have to say your
00:52:04goddaughter's thrown all the way from America yeah my goddaughter Vivian she's flown here from America
00:52:09and she's Latina so um I had to really put it off for her you certainly did good luck the scores are in
00:52:17the judges scores are in Craig revel hall seven
00:52:21eight
00:52:25then the information how to get ready to vote for them is on oh I'm going now voting will
00:52:55open after all of our couples have performed still to come Ross King is wearing a kilt and I am a true

00:53:16christened themselves team cheeky but tonight they're hoping to show us a very different side
00:53:21with an elegant and graceful waltz
00:53:23I love my first ever live show with Vito I felt so happy in the element that's massive
00:53:36this week we are dancing and waltz and I can't wait
00:53:40open the arm like a wing beautiful and now we look up even though last week was a Latin dance this week
00:53:46is a ballroom but we can still take and incorporate all the feedback from the judges what's mossy's
00:53:52feedback floor is our friend floor is our friend I found the perfect way to show Ellie how to be
00:53:58elegant and light in waltz I know you love animals yeah I decided to take you somewhere to have a proper
00:54:05treat oh look how cute we should name someone butterfly with our name yeah that's Vito and I'm
00:54:16that one you see when they fly they're like so floating so light when we're gonna dance the
00:54:21waltz oh yeah we have to rise and fall rise and fall yeah we're gonna fly like them look oh cute
00:54:30you know I really feel inspired by all this butterfly oh we have to make sure that all the technique is
00:54:38perfectly done spin around like wings like a butterfly I'm going to be a peaceful for one butterfly I can't wait
00:54:46dancing the waltz Eddie Goldstein and Vito copper
00:54:53it's a little bit funny this feels
00:55:10dancing the waltz Eddie Goldstein I know it's not much but it's the best I can do my gift is my song in the swan's world
00:55:36dancing the waltz Eddie Goldstein and you can tell everybody this is your song it may be quite civil but now that it's done
00:55:55dancing the waltz Eddie Goldstein and you can tell everybody this is your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song it's your song
00:56:25Oh
00:56:55You are a ballroom butterfly. I am. That is beautiful. And so is your dress. Thank you. Gorgeous. I mean this is a beautiful partnership isn't it Shirley. Ellie, last week I asked you if you would keep your feet on the floor, caress the floor, close your feet when necessary and you did that today. Marvellous.
00:57:16Thank you. Also your little hand here, don't think I don't notice those tiny little details. It looked like a little butterfly and landed on Vito's shoulder. And you today were the epitome of grace and charm. Keep working on those things and boy can you spin girl. Well done you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. I completely agree with Shirley. Your underarm spins are an absolute delight.
00:57:46Your feet coming together. Beautiful. If you're going to continue to improve all the things that everybody asks you to do, you're going to be unstoppable. You can. I'm going to stick now. I'd like you one thing. When you step forwards, I'd like you to take a bigger step. Yes. So have the confidence to take a bigger step. Yes. Because you're moving beautifully. We will. You will. Okay. Thank you. You're fast so good. Great.
00:58:14Thank you. Ellie, when you do those little runs, you know, the tiny little ones, we call them sort of bourées, they need to be smoothed down. You just have to make sure that you're on one level when you do them. There was not enough rise and fall for my liking, but I've got to agree with the others because I think the turns are just so controlled and placed and your commitment to the story was great. Thank you, Jake. Thank you, thank you.
00:58:44And Mosse tonight. Yeah. Ellie, there's a huge improvement in what you did today. I'm going to tell you everything that improved. Your posture improved. It looked much, much better. You looked more in control of what you were doing. You had such beautiful arm movements until the end. Until your fingertips, you were dancing. I love that extension. Feet have improved. Like Shirley said, they were on the floor.
00:59:14And then quick movements. But this is going in the right direction. Well done, girl.
00:59:19Thank you. Thank you, Judge. Thank you, Judge. Thank you, Judge. What a brilliant comment, Ellie. You must be delighted.
00:59:26I love for her thing. Fly on up to Claude and get your scores. Thank you so much. Thank you so much. Thank you so much.
00:59:31Thank you. Thank you so much.
00:59:33Give us more. Give us more. Give us more. Give us more. Give us more. We are done. We are done.
00:59:40We are done. We are done.
00:59:42Well done. Yes. Brilliant comments. And you really wanted to do the waltz, didn't you? Yes, I did. All right, through this.
00:59:53It's so beautiful. Your sister Amy is in the audience tonight. How lovely is it, performing for family? Supportive and beautiful. I'm going to climb and count to come to watch me.
01:00:03Every talk always. Yes, absolutely. We can't forget him. You both worked really hard on the judges' comments last week, didn't you?
01:00:10Yes, Claudia, yes. We work on, yeah? The floor is our friend. Yeah? So we have to kind of caress the floor with our feet, yeah? And after we want to close and kiss the feet.
01:00:18Yes. Yes. Yes. We want to rise and fall, yeah? We work a lot, yeah? We have been, yes. And you did an amazing job and I'm so, so proud.
01:00:25My little papa. Yes.
01:00:26We've got a favourite move from this week. Which was it? The butterfly. Let's do the butterfly, yeah? Yeah. Ready? And go. One and up. Yes. And close the feet. Yes. And we upgrade it. And we spin. Yes.
01:00:42Good luck to the two of you. The scores are in.
01:00:45The judges have their scores. Craig Revelholt. Five. Thank you.
01:00:52Motsi Mabusei. Six.
01:00:56Shirley Back. Six.
01:01:00Anton Dubé. Six.
01:01:02Oh, thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you.
01:01:05Happy with that, the two of you. Thank you. Thank you.
01:01:08Excellent. If you loved Ellie and Vito's waltz, then you can vote for them.
01:01:12To do that, all the information is on your screen now. Please remember, the vote doesn't open until everyone has performed.
01:01:19Still to come, Dave Arch takes on Lady Gaga and The Proclaimers. Unfortunately, not at the same time.
01:01:26Well done. Thank you.
01:01:28Next tonight, it is Apprentice star Tom Skinner and his partner Amy.
01:01:32Tom's worked on the market stall since he was 16 years old, but tonight might be his toughest sell yet.
01:01:38He's dancing a salsa to Bonkers.
01:01:42I brought you to a market to show you what I do. I've been working in the market since I was a kid. I love it. It's what I love doing, and I bet Amy's going to love it, too.
01:01:54Roll up, roll up. Come and get your striply fixed.
01:01:57Slow down, Amy. We've got to prepare ourselves first. Do you know what I mean?
01:01:59No, no, no. We just go hard. Come on. It's like the dancing. Just go big or go home.
01:02:02What? I want to...
01:02:04Roll up!
01:02:04I'll tell you what, I'm going to have it go on right there.
01:02:07You can have these two. Two for a pound, but don't tell anyone else.
01:02:10What are you lovely people? Who wants a striply ball?
01:02:13She wants one.
01:02:14Listen, Amy is unbelievable.
01:02:16She's done the first cut of the salad. I haven't done nothing yet. Do you know what I mean?
01:02:20Who wants me?
01:02:21Look who's done. It's looking for you.
01:02:23I'm on top of the world.
01:02:25I am loving seeing Tom in his element.
01:02:27So, so there, so there.
01:02:30Jobs done, yeah?
01:02:32Can we go excited? I'm starving.
01:02:33No, it's going to be a training room.
01:02:34One burger, one burger, one burger, one burger.
01:02:38Right, ready?
01:02:39Steady, cook, and...
01:02:40This week, we're doing a salsa.
01:02:43Forward, forward.
01:02:44I'm going to need to get those hips out of Tom.
01:02:48Wow, where the hips are like.
01:02:50Oh, hang on.
01:02:51Yeah! Told you!
01:02:52Oh!
01:02:53Tom is incredibly strong.
01:02:54I want us to perform lifts like you've never seen on Strictly Come Dancing.
01:02:59Harry thinks he's strong, mate.
01:03:01Oh, yeah, I'll see his little press-up.
01:03:03I'm ready to press-up, so I'm going to show you something special.
01:03:07Up in the air.
01:03:08Brush.
01:03:15Dancing the salsa.
01:03:17Tom Skinner and Amy Dowdy.
01:03:18I wake up from the day, it's a day dream.
01:03:38Everything in my life is what it seems.
01:03:40I wake up just to go back to sleep.
01:03:42I act real shallow, but I've been too deep.
01:03:44Some people think I'm bonkers, but I just think I'm three.
01:03:48Man, I'm just living my life, there's nothing crazy about me.
01:03:52Some people pay for pills, but I get mine for free.
01:03:56Man, I'm just living my life, there's nothing crazy about me.
01:04:11Donkers.
01:04:12That's a good job.
01:04:20I'm just living my life.
01:04:20Come on.
01:04:21I'm just getting married.
01:04:22I love you.
01:04:31Some people think I'm not good, but I just think I'm free.
01:04:47Man, I'm just living my life, it's nothing crazy about me.
01:04:51Some people are paid for bills
01:04:53Then I'm picked by for free
01:04:55Man, I'm just thinkin' my life
01:04:57There's nothing crazy about me
01:05:03Thank you, darling
01:05:05Thank you, darling
01:05:11Well done
01:05:13Goodness me, Tom
01:05:15That was a bit of a crowd pleaser
01:05:17Oh, I enjoyed that
01:05:19Unreal and what about Dave Arch doing bonkers?
01:05:21He can do anything
01:05:23He can do anything
01:05:25Thank you, Dave, his live band
01:05:27And our super live singers
01:05:29I mean
01:05:31He threw quite a lot at that Craig
01:05:33Yeah, it looked like you were competing
01:05:35In a weightlifting competition
01:05:37In Skegness, darling
01:05:39It was all just power lifts
01:05:41The timing was completely off
01:05:43At the beginning as well
01:05:45I could see every lift being prepped
01:05:47And entered
01:05:49And taken out of
01:05:51It lacked any real hip rotation at all
01:05:53Or fluidity
01:05:55But you have proved, darling
01:05:57You have the strength of an ox
01:05:59Very, very strong
01:06:01That is true
01:06:03Yes, Tom, I love the gusto
01:06:05You went for it
01:06:07He went for it
01:06:09He went for this
01:06:11He went for it
01:06:13I mean, you're in silver pants
01:06:15There's glitter
01:06:17And you stood there like this is it
01:06:19And yeah, it was interesting
01:06:21It wasn't too harsh
01:06:25Yes
01:06:27Yes
01:06:28Yes
01:06:29Shirley?
01:06:30Well, you gave it a go
01:06:31That's the thing
01:06:32Thank you
01:06:33Yeah, gave it a go
01:06:34You came out with a personality
01:06:35And your family at home will be so proud of you
01:06:37Because you enjoyed every minute of that I can tell
01:06:39Yes
01:06:40But
01:06:41I have to go with Craig
01:06:43You know, I expect in seltzer a lot more moves
01:06:45Now you can prove that in anything you can do the lifts
01:06:48And that is good
01:06:49And that's a bonus
01:06:50Yeah
01:06:51But now we've got to start in the latin to rotate the hips a little bit
01:06:54Be a bit more coordinated with the upper part of the body
01:06:57A little bit of foot usage
01:06:58Not too much
01:06:59Just a little bit
01:07:00Wow
01:07:01And you'll be on your way
01:07:02Thank you
01:07:03Thank you
01:07:04And Sean are you begging to take off?
01:07:06Well, I mean, they say all that
01:07:08But I've tried all that to varying levels of success
01:07:10I think it's all overrated, Mr. Tuffle
01:07:12I think a friend of mine the other day
01:07:14Who was just starting to learn salsa like you
01:07:15And he said, I'm struggling with it
01:07:16He said, I keep taking one step forward and two steps back
01:07:19I don't seem to be getting any better
01:07:21You're all right
01:07:22Shut your face
01:07:23The tickets are free
01:07:25I, um
01:07:27I thought it was a very
01:07:28Like these guys
01:07:29I thought it was a good effort
01:07:30You did not show any nerves
01:07:32You ploughed on
01:07:33You gave it some
01:07:34Yeah
01:07:35And I thought it was a really good effort
01:07:36Well, thank you
01:07:37Thank you
01:07:38Well done, Tom
01:07:39Thank you very much
01:07:40You enjoyed yourself
01:07:41Probably the bravest lifts we've ever seen in week two
01:07:44So, bravo, Tom
01:07:45Thank you
01:07:46Thank you very much
01:07:47Thank you very much
01:07:50Well done, thank you
01:07:54Yay, well done, darling
01:07:55I enjoyed that
01:07:57I loved it
01:07:58I'm hungry now
01:07:59You loved those lifts
01:08:01Well ain't good at dancing
01:08:02I just want to lift them
01:08:03Don't say such a thing
01:08:05But he was brave
01:08:06Cos he just went as were you
01:08:07He was like, go on, I'll do another one
01:08:09Absolutely
01:08:10But if I've learnt anything in the last two years
01:08:14Life's too short, don't, you know, take risks
01:08:16But he was brave because he just went as were you he was like gone. I'll do another one absolutely
01:08:21But if I've learned anything in the last two years life's too short. Don't you know take risks? Yeah
01:08:29I see because I love this Tom has an absolute concentration phase
01:08:35Which was okay until we had to do lifts and I was high up there about this close from the floor and he had his eyes shut
01:08:41You trusted him absolutely, and I'm so proud of you
01:08:51The judges scores are no Craig revel Hall to
01:08:58Motsy Mabuse
01:09:02Shirley balance for
01:09:06Anton Dubek so
01:09:11I know you wanted more than a two
01:09:14But you did well and also I can hear Neil at the back name is just shouting it's not right
01:09:21Tom and Amy back next week then you can vote for them later on in the show
01:09:25Please head to the website bbc.co.uk forward so strictly or scan the QR code on your screen now to get ready to vote still to come
01:09:33Vicki and Kai you're bringing Newcastle aren't you into the ballroom excited? No, look at your face. Okay, it's gonna be fine
01:09:40I'm sure it's gonna be good. We're dead excited. Oh
01:09:42Yeah
01:09:48Our next couple is Harry Akins a reti and his partner Karen now after last Saturday's cha-cha our gladiator
01:09:55Still had enough energy to do some press-ups with a certain mr. Debec on his back very strong
01:10:02Well, I can't wait to see what he's got in store for this week
01:10:05201
01:10:06202
01:10:08203
01:10:10204
01:10:14I've just started teaching Harry the quick steps and they're slowly becoming friends, but it's been a bumpy start
01:10:20I think I'm doing it the wrong way around
01:10:22But the biggest challenge is for Harry to make sure that he doesn't over bounce
01:10:26So he doesn't look like he's running also that everything stays nice and beautiful in the upper body
01:10:31Five six seven eight one two not too much. I'm literally like a big springy ball
01:10:39So trying to keep all of that spring under control really tough
01:10:42I'm gonna bring you down
01:10:45You might see me shaking, but this man ain't gonna jump too high
01:10:49Walk walk walk
01:10:51The hardest part of the routine for me is all of these crossovers. I'm an Olympic sprinter. I'm used to staying in my own lane
01:10:57I'm used to running running right in circles. Give it to Karen. She's literally having to move a bus
01:11:02You're driving this bus
01:11:04I do think she's a little bit out of breath. So I might have broken Karen a bit
01:11:07You're not out of breath. I am
01:11:09I'm counting or reminding him to keep his arms lifted
01:11:12I'm also going breathe, breathe
01:11:14Because if not, then we'll both end up on the floor
01:11:18I'm actually starting to enjoy it. It's really difficult, you know
01:11:21Once you challenge yourself, and that's the reason why I'm doing strictly
01:11:24You kind of have that breakthrough moment like Karen said
01:11:26You just go, oh
01:11:28I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been working on
01:11:30It's gonna be so much fun to perform here, but at the same time
01:11:32I think I need some rest before then
01:11:34I'm just gonna
01:11:36Oh
01:11:41Dancing the quick stuff
01:11:43Harry Akin's Ariti and Karen Howard
01:11:57Everybody
01:11:59Need somebody
01:12:00Need somebody
01:12:01Need somebody
01:12:02Everybody
01:12:03Need somebody
01:12:06To love
01:12:07Someone to love
01:12:09Someone to love
01:12:10Someone to love
01:12:11Sweet happiness
01:12:13Sweet happiness
