00:00Democrats are telling us they want a rematch of the Civil War.
00:06The right wing in this country wants a rematch of the Civil War.
00:12I just, I want that to sit in right now because the president of the United States of America
00:16has declared war on the people of Chicago and people across America.
00:21We don't want a rematch.
00:23The president hasn't declared war on anyone, but they've declared him public enemy number one.
00:31It is time to recognize that while you thought the enemy was the immigrant or you thought the enemy was the trans person
00:38or you thought that the enemy was the black folk, it is not any of those people on the list.
00:43It is the old white Nepo baby that is sitting in the White House.
00:48Chicago is taking up arms.
00:50Over the weekend, this Windy City looked like Fort Sumter.
00:55Let's go! Get out of the road now!
00:57Get back! Get back! Get back! Get back!
01:03Get back! Get back!
01:14Carry up!
01:16Thugs in bandanas through rocks and bottles at ICE agents on patrol.
01:30Chicago police? Nowhere to be found.
01:33One woman with a rifle rammed her car into an ICE vehicle, using it as a weapon.
01:37The ICE vehicle was disabled, leaving agents trapped and forced to open fire.
01:41The driver, Marimar Martinez, she was flagged last week for doxing agents in posting this, quote,
01:49Hey to all my gang, let's F these mother effers up. Don't let them take anyone.
01:54This was the second ramming incident over the weekend.
01:58The feds tried calling for backup, but Chicago PD was ordered to pull a Benghazi.
02:03And again, per the chief of patrol, we have all the units that, per 999, chief of patrol said all units clear out from there.
02:14We're not sending anybody over to that location.
02:17Chicago PD says they did show up, but the dispatch you just heard said they were told to stand down.
02:23The mayor of Chicago doesn't think all lives matter.
02:27Do you want Chicago police not to help ICE agents?
02:32Our police department will respond to every incident in which their services are needed to keep people safe.
02:39Protecting the fundamental right to be able to protest, ensuring the maximum safety of our residents.
02:46Johnson's signaling that the police's priority is protecting protesters above everyone else.
02:52Agents are getting attacked with cars, projectiles, and being shot at across the country.
02:59But Governor Ribbs is declaring war on ICE.
03:03Trump and the thuggery that his agents have brought has actively made us less safe.
03:10The state of Illinois is going to use every lever at our disposal to resist this power grab
03:15and get gnomes, thugs the hell out of Chicago.
03:20I'm not afraid.
03:21Twenty-five people were shot over the weekend in Chicago.
03:26ICE is there because of the dereliction of duty by Biden and the Democrats.
03:31You have black women with MAGA hats on in Chicago, all over the place.
03:38They want the guard to come in.
03:40There was one woman, she was great today.
03:42She said, you know what?
03:43I don't care if it's the National Guard, the Army, the Marines, the Air Force.
03:47I don't care who comes in as long as we're safe.
03:50And that's the way most of the public feels.
03:53Why don't Democrats want to protect black women?
03:56First, they didn't stand up for black kids with cancer.
03:59Now this.
04:00Jussie Smollett got the benefit of the doubt in Chicago, but not ICE.
04:05Democrats keep saying this is a civil war.
04:07Well, Trump's the one trying to liberate black Americans.
04:11While they're demanding to know who's going to pick their crops.
04:14Democrats have started creating mini confederacies.
04:19The order establishes ICE-free zones.
04:23That means that city property and unwilling private businesses
04:27will no longer serve as staging grounds for these raids.
04:32An ICE-free zone kind of sounds like they're flirting with secession.
04:36Democrats are throwing around the S-word.
04:39Mother Jones, it's time for soft secession.
04:42Chicago is not the only city clashing with the feds.
04:46The Portland battle is 100 days and counting.
04:48Get back, get back, get back, get back, get back.
04:58The city's rebelling against the federal government, just like in Chicago.
05:24Portland PD won't keep federal agents safe either.
05:26They actually slapped them with a zoning violation for boarding up their buildings' windows so Antifa can't see inside.
05:34They believe women have a right to privacy, just not ICE.
05:38An ICE facility was just shot up in Dallas, and now cartels have put bounties on their heads.
05:44They're making plans to ambush them and to kill them.
05:47We have specific officers and agents that have bounties that have been put out on their heads.
05:52It's been $2,000 to kidnap them, $10,000 to kill them.
05:56We're trying to protect the country from cartels, and they're saying we're at war with Americans, and Kristi Noem should be charged with war crimes.
06:07I think Kristi Noem should have consequences.
06:09I think she should be tried at the Hague.
06:11What we are seeing from her operation are crimes against humanity.
06:15Agents have $10,000 death warrants and are getting doxed with tracking apps.
06:21In Portland, an American city, doesn't care.
06:25ICE agents can't even pull in and out of their office.
06:28ICE agents have been hit with sticks, shot with fireworks, roasted by lasers, and pelted with paintballs.
06:35Antifa's just walking around brandishing machetes.
06:38They tried to light their headquarters on fire.
06:40Every time they step outside, they're under attack.
06:45There's another melee.
06:49It's a penis.
06:58ICE agents are even getting spit on.
07:01CNN is asking, is it really that bad?
07:15I spoke to the police chief of Portland last week.
07:17He said that the president's claims just don't match up with what's happening on the ground.
07:21I would encourage you as a reporter to go on the ground and to take a look at it for yourself.
07:24It's on video.
07:25You should play it on your show.
07:27You have a great opportunity in primetime on CNN to show your audience.
07:31Yeah, but you're probably talking to partisan Democrat officials who are opposed to everything this president does.
07:38CNN should care because it's not just cops getting jumped.
07:41It's journalists, too.
07:43Last week, independent journalist Nick Sorter got mobbed by Antifa and Portland PD arrested him.
07:50They were forced to drop charges.
07:51But over the weekend, he got roughed up again.
07:54Another reporter got a black eye and the city of Portland shrubbed.
08:11I immediately ran to a Portland police officer, hunted down the suspect, chased her through the streets and said, this is my assault suspect.
08:22Can you guys finally do something?
08:24And I had eyes on her for about 35 minutes.
08:27Portland police refused to come in and make an arrest.
08:30And I had three officers just standing there.
08:33Portland PD actually says Katie had it coming.
08:36New emails say journalists are antagonizing protesters until they're assaulted.
08:42They refuse to walk away.
08:44Reporters on the ground aren't supposed to walk away.
08:46They have to be on the ground to cover the story.
08:49But Portland police doesn't want reporters covering how dangerous their cities become.
08:54We asked Portland PD for a statement and they said no comment.
08:58And it's not just ICE and it's not just reporters.
09:01Random people driving through the neighborhood are getting ambushed.
09:04That guy in the white beard spit on me.
09:07You guys lost the election.
09:09You lost the country.
09:10This is America.
09:11This is not a third-year-old country.
09:15All you guys got is your lazy unemployed foul.
09:19That's it.
09:19Go get a job.
09:20I guarantee you're unemployed.
09:22I guarantee you're unemployed.
09:24I guarantee you're unemployed.
09:25Where do you work?
09:27Across the street.
09:29CNN doesn't see a rebellion.
09:31They think it's mostly peaceful.
09:32If a Democratic president someday calls the National Guard to a red state over what they
09:38see as open rebellion, but is what amounts to a demonstration that gets rowdy.
09:44I mean, is that not a fear?
09:46They're posting pictures of their kids because it's a demonstration.
09:49They have a sniper on top of a building firing a high-caliber rifle at a nice facility because
09:54it's a demonstration.
09:56Antifa has now been designated a terrorist organization.
09:59And the president's not going to allow the federal government to come under attack.
10:03And if Antifa resists arrest, they're getting hogtied and wheeled out.
10:08Antifa Kermit says he likes the taste of mace.
10:11Can you tell me what happened in the next one minute?
10:16Nothing.
10:17I kind of coughed a little, but that was about it.
10:21That's about as much as it did to me.
10:24Nothing else happened.
10:25It was just a little peppermint taste, you know.
10:28I've tasted spicier.
10:30I'm Mexican.
10:31What do you expect?
10:32First Democrats didn't do their job and secure the border.
10:35Then they harbored these criminal aliens in their sanctuary cities.
10:39Then when Trump selected, on a platform of mass deportations, they don't cooperate with
10:44and protect federal officers.
10:46And now they're actively obstructing federal action and fomenting attacks against the federal
10:51government.
10:52Trump has every right under the law to send in federal troops when federal actions are
10:56being blocked.
10:58They're the ones creating this violent and dangerous atmosphere.
11:00They're egging it on.
11:02They're saying, bring it on.
11:04ICE agents are just enforcing the federal immigration laws that Congress wrote.
11:09If Democrats don't like it, change the law or win an election.
11:14Could you imagine if conservatives were launching assaults against IRS offices, throwing rocks at
11:19IRS agents and doxing them and spitting on them, and Republican politicians were letting
11:24it happen and creating no IRS zones in their states?
11:29What's the difference?
11:31Activists are being trained to fight Trump all across the country.
11:36The San Francisco Chronicle says they're hosting training sessions on the weekends.
11:40They're treating this like it's war, and they don't care who gets hurt.
11:45In Virginia, Democrats are backing a guy for attorney general who said he'd like to shoot
11:50his Republican opponent in the head twice and then go to their funerals to piss on their
11:56graves.
11:57His name is Jay Jones, and he hasn't stepped down.
12:01The party is still throwing all their support behind him.
12:05We're in a cycle of political violence, and the violence is coming from the left, and it's
12:09being normalized.
12:11Assassins are plotting to kill Supreme Court justices and then getting slaps on the wrist
12:15by Democrat judges for being trans.
12:17They shot Charlie.
12:20They tried to kill Trump twice.
12:22They're shooting kids at Catholic school.
12:25Snipers on rooftops are firing rounds at ICE agents.
12:29ABC, who just got into a wee bit of trouble with Jimmy Kimmel, now has Joy Behar calling
12:35ICE agents Nazis.
12:36During the Nazi occupation, there was one country, I believe it was Denmark or Norway, one of
12:42those, where everybody put the Jewish star on, and they didn't know who was Jewish and
12:46who was not.
12:47So what you're saying is very spot.
12:49Is Bob Iger awake at Disney?
12:51Is that tasteful?
12:53Is that responsible?
12:56No one wants a civil war in this country.
12:58And just because the Democrat Party isn't a civil war doesn't mean they have to foist war
13:03upon the rest of us.
13:04We wrote about this and get it together.
13:07Don't make your problems our problems.
13:10The last four years, Democrats insisted that federal immigration law was the responsibility
13:15of the federal government and the states had no role.
13:18And now that Trump's president, they're arguing that the federal government can't enforce immigration
13:23law and the states can obstruct it.
13:26This is an attack on the very foundation of the country.
13:29It's an attack on federalism and it's a violent attack on the last election.
13:35Every day of the week is January 6th for Democrats.
13:39The Democrats didn't want the guard called in then, and they don't want them called in
13:43now.
13:44Katie Davis Court has been on the ground covering Antifa and is a post-millennial reporter.
13:50All right.
13:50Your eye looks better.
13:51How's it feeling, Katie?
13:52Oh, it definitely still hurts, but it is healing a little bit.
13:57So that's good.
13:58Good.
13:58So the Portland Police Department is blaming you for getting jabbed in the eye.
14:06Yeah.
14:07Can you believe this?
14:08So not only did Portland Police refuse to detain my assault suspect that I hand delivered to
14:15them, they submitted court testimony in a court of law blaming me for my own assault and falsely
14:23accusing me of being a counter protester.
14:25I have taken this as a declaration of war against myself, and it's a battle that I am determined
14:31to win.
14:32Portland Police will have you believe that they have this situation under control and
14:37that federal intervention is not needed.
14:39But that couldn't be farther from the truth.
14:42The truth is that Portland Police has had zero ground presence outside of ICE since late
14:48June until now, they have abandoned the citizens of Portland, leaving them to fend for themselves
14:56against domestic terrorists who are assaulting, maiming, who really actually want to kill their
15:02political opponents.
15:03But most importantly, I think is worth mentioning is Portland Police has abandoned their brothers
15:09and sisters in law enforcement, the men and women of ICE and FPS who have faced relentless
15:16attacks for the past four months.
15:19Portland Police is in charge of this zone, and they are doing absolutely nothing about
15:23the rioters.
15:24And now they have taken it upon themselves to actually arrest journalists who are having
15:30to defend themselves against these domestic terrorists.
15:34So the Department of Justice is right in their decision to investigate Portland Police.
15:40And I hope to see this hammer of justice be brought down on them.
15:44Yeah, it looks like the Portland Police are more concerned with the journalists filming the
15:50chaos than they are with the people creating it.
15:52They're saying that independent journalists are provoking Antifa and trying to get assaulted.
15:59Have you seen that?
16:02Absolutely not.
16:03What I have seen is the second a reporter that they believe is against their cause walks into
16:10the scene, they immediately surround them, harass them, and threaten them with violence.
16:15And then they actually commit violent offenses.
16:18I've been covering this for four months, as I said, since June.
16:22And the amount of violence that I have faced just for trying to do my job, I could probably
16:27write a novel.
16:28And it needs to end.
16:29And this is all Portland Police's fault.
16:31All right.
16:32Well, they messed with the wrong woman.
16:34That's for sure.
16:34Katie, we're glad we're doing a little bit better.
16:37And keep up the great work.
16:39You're very brave.
16:41Thanks, Jesse.
16:43Founder of Public News, Michael Schellenberger.
16:45All right, Mike, they're talking a lot about a civil war.
16:49What's that about?
16:52It's great to be with you, Jesse.
16:54Terrifying.
16:55I mean, it just gets worse and worse.
16:56I mean, I was on your show weeks ago talking about increased violence from the left.
17:01I think one of the most disturbing is we've had over 72 hours now where we've known that
17:06this attorney general candidate for Virginia was fantasizing about the murder of his political
17:12opponents and the death of one of their children or the death of their children.
17:17I had expected, you know, I got up this morning.
17:19I figured I checked.
17:20I figured there'd be some very high profile Democrats calling for him to withdraw from
17:24the race.
17:25Jesse, not a single one, not a single high profile Democrat at this time has called for
17:30him to withdraw from the race.
17:32This is shocking.
17:33I mean, this is if you're a conservative or Republican in Virginia and he is elected,
17:37you cannot feel safe.
17:39You cannot feel like the law is going to be fairly enacted in Virginia.
17:44I think it's quite terrifying precedent.
17:47Terrifying in the sense that not just what he said, which I think reflects a level of
17:51sadism that we haven't seen before, but the fact that no Democrat will demand that he
17:56stepped down.
17:57I think the left has still got this radicalization problem.
18:00And it's not just with those people in the streets.
18:02It's with their own political candidates.
18:04Yeah.
18:05And even the governor of Chicago, I mean, you had ICE agents getting rammed by armed protesters
18:12where they were forced to open fire.
18:15They had rocks thrown at their windows.
18:18And and Governor Pritzker is acting like it's all one big hoax.
18:22Yeah, I mean, Jesse, I think if your viewers can remember some important numbers here, we
18:30have the data is had now we've got multiple studies.
18:33Now we see that liberals and very liberal people favor political violence at rates five times
18:38more than conservatives.
18:40We had a poll earlier.
18:41You may remember 55 percent of people that are left of center so that they could justify
18:46the murder of Trump, 48 percent so that about Elon Musk, the share of this is the number
18:52that's most terrifying for me, the share of college students that say that violence might
18:56be necessary to stop a campus speaker rose from under 20 percent in 2020 to 34 percent
19:02today.
19:03And the pollsters say it's overwhelmingly people on the left.
19:07These numbers, I mean, somebody, you know, we need Barack Barack Obama or somebody in the
19:11Democratic Party needs to start taking some responsibility for just how radical their
19:15party has become.
19:16Yeah, it needs to happen now because the way this is ratcheting up, it's just it's going
19:20to get worse and worse until someone steps in and controls these crazy people.
19:25All right, Mike, unfortunate discussion, but glad you have you on here.
19:28Breaking news on January 6th and AOC.
19:34Plus, here's Johnny.
19:37Did you know the government was shut down?
19:39Yeah, I know.
19:39Like three years ago.
19:42No, it was just a couple of days.
19:44Fox News alert.
19:44Biden's FBI was spying on Republican senators.
19:47Jack Smith and his Arctic Frost team were tracking the phone calls and locations of nearly a dozen
19:52senators, including Graham, Ron Johnson and Hawley.
19:56As part of Smith's investigation into J6th, Senator Grassley says heads will roll.
20:04When Democrats get desperate, they start hoaxing.
20:07We got carpet bombed with hoaxes leading up to the election, and now they're circling back.
20:11Senate Minority Leader AOC just debuted the Minnie Miller hoax.
20:16Steven Miller is a clown.
20:20I've never seen that guy in real life, but he looks like he's like 4'10", and he looks
20:27like he is angry about the fact that he's 4'10".
20:31Primetime measured Miller.
20:32He's 5'10", with no shoes on.
20:35He told us, quote,
20:36But when we talk about her, AOC says we're just jealous and want to date her.
20:53We don't.
20:54And maybe her fiancé doesn't either, because they've been engaged for over three years.
20:58Meanwhile, Miller's a stud, with a wife and three kids.
21:02And now AOC fans want her to apologize for body shaming him.
21:07Also, someone said, short kings are great.
21:10Absolutely.
21:11I'm not here.
21:13I want to absolutely make sure that I talk about that.
21:17I'm not here to make fun of anyone's anything.
21:21But the way people overcompensate over their own stories is what I'm talking about there.
21:28So thank you for the clarification.
21:30The height hoax is faker than Hakeem Sombrero, which is still not funny.
21:35He posts a deepfake video with sombreros in it, and he thinks that's funny.
21:42This isn't funny to the American people who are starting to get their premium bills right now.
21:47He thinks this is funny.
21:49He thinks that people are going to joke about this.
21:52I promise you, they're not.
21:55Amy's friends dress up like hot dogs and tacos.
21:58I bet they got a kick out of the sombrero.
22:00If we didn't report it, would anyone even know the government shut down?
22:04Have you noticed anything different since last week?
22:07Has your life changed?
22:09Turns out the government doesn't do much but spend money and then complain when we don't let them.
22:14Here's what they're trying to sneak through.
22:16Watch.
22:16We found that under President Biden, they were spending $3 million for circumcisions and vasectomies in Zambia, $833,000 for transgender people in Nepal.
22:30We found $3.6 million for pastry cooking classes and dance focus groups for male prostitutes in Haiti.
22:42I kid you not.
22:44Schumer shut down the government to save his skin, and it backfired.
22:48AOC is running the party, and everybody thinks Hakeem wears a sombrero.
22:52Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, is here.
22:55All right, Speaker, they said the sombrero is not funny, and you have to stop laughing.
23:01Look, thank you for that parade of absurdity there.
23:04I mean, AOC is the future of the party, and that's exactly why Chuck Schumer is acting as he is right now.
23:10They voted for the fifth time, about two hours ago, to keep the government closed.
23:15Chuck Schumer would never have done this in the past.
23:17In fact, he gave impassioned speeches of why we couldn't do it, it would be too dangerous for the people, and he's changed course.
23:23Why, Jesse?
23:24It's plain and simple.
23:25He's afraid he's going to get a challenge from AOC in the next Senate race, and so he's got to show a fight against Trump and Republicans.
23:31It's very dangerous.
23:32It's really silly, and there's no point.
23:34They have nothing to argue.
23:35We hope that they'll fold quickly so we can get back to business here.
23:38Yeah, one of the silliest things I've ever heard, we were spending money on dance lessons for male escorts in Haiti.
23:46What in the world is that about?
23:49Yeah, thanks to the doge effort, okay?
23:51When Elon came in and got the team working, they were putting the magic algorithms to work through all these agencies.
23:57We've done oversight.
23:58We've had hearings since I've been here for eight years.
24:00We've tried to dug into this.
24:01They didn't show us those facts, but they were able to uncover it because the facts don't lie, and then we unwound it.
24:07We, of course, clawed it back.
24:09We made sure that in the one big beautiful bill and in the codifying of the executive orders, we got rid of that stuff.
24:14The Democrats want it back.
24:16That's the point.
24:17That's what Senator Kennedy was saying there with his charts on the Senate floor just a couple days ago.
24:22He's pointing out that Chuck Schumer is making a demand in exchange for opening the government.
24:26He wants to spend $1.5 trillion additional dollars, and he wants all that absurdity back in the budget.
24:32We're not doing that.
24:33Republicans have drawn a line.
24:35We're going to turn...
24:36I can't let Chuck Schumer in the Democrats' prevail.
24:38Yeah, there's some insanity in Virginia.
24:40There's a breaking story.
24:42The attorney general candidate down there, Mr. Jones, is fantasizing about murdering his opponents, just saying some despicable things.
24:51And it doesn't look like the Democrat Party nationally or statewide cares.
24:57Absolutely.
24:58Those comments were vile, disgusting, and, Jesse, they're disqualifying.
25:02And if the Democrats have any ounce of credibility left that they hope to salvage, they've got to come out and say that this guy should not be running for the attorney general spot, the highest law enforcement officer in the state of Virginia.
25:16It's crazy.
25:16They've got to call it out, and I haven't seen any of them on Capitol Hill do that yet.
25:21Yeah.
25:21The AG has a lot of power over people's lives.
25:23You don't want someone with a sick fetish like that with any more power than he already has.
25:27Speaker, great work, and keep us posted on the shutdown.
25:32Thanks, my friend.
25:33Will do.
25:35Trump rallies the troops while Kamala denies the election.
25:41Are you ready?
25:43Give me one second.
25:45Okay.
25:46Okay.
25:47Okay.
25:47Trump taps Fox News' judge, Janine Pirro, as interim U.S. attorney in D.C., the five co-host...
26:02Sorry, one more time.
26:04That was a tongue twister.
26:05Okay.
26:05Trump taps Fox News' judge, Janine Pirro, as interim U.S. attorney in D.C., the five co-hosts' exits network.
26:20Again?
26:20Mm-hmm.
26:25Trump taps Fox News' judge, Janine Pirro, as interim U.S. attorney in D.C., the five co-hosts' exits network.
26:35President Donald Trump has tapped the five co-hosts' judge, Janine Pirro, to be the interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C.
26:44I am pleasure to announce that Judge Janine Pirro will be appointed interim United States attorney for the District of Columbia,
26:54Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Thursday.
26:58Janine Pirro is incredibly well-qualified for this position and is considered one of the top district attorneys in the history of the state of New York.
27:09She is in the class by herself.
27:11Congratulations, Janine.
27:13Pirro has left Fox News' channel and a rotation of Fox News' personalities will fill her seat on the five until a new co-host is named.
27:23Janine Pirro has been a wonderful addition to the five over the last three years and a long-time beloved host across Fox News' media
27:35who contributed greatly to our success throughout her 14 years of tenure.
27:40We wish her all the best in her new role in Washington, a spokesperson for Fox News' media said in a statement.
27:48Pirro served as the assistant district attorney and district attorney in New York's Westchester country
27:57and became the first woman to service as a judge in Westchester County Court.
28:06She joined Fox News' channel in 2006 and hosted justice with Judge Janine for 11 years before joining the five,
28:14which has emerged as the most-watched show on cable news.
28:18Trump has also announced on Truth Social that Ed Martin, who was the previous interim U.S. attorney in D.C.,
28:28will be moving to the Department of Justice as the director of the Weaponization Working Group,
28:35associate deputy attorney general and pardoned attorney.
28:38In these highly important roles, Ed will make sure we finally investigate the weaponization of our government under the Biden regime.
28:48and provide much-needed justice for its victims.
28:52Congratulations, Ed, Trump wrote.
28:55Trump pulled Martin's nomination for U.S. attorney in D.C.
29:00following resistance on Capitol Hill, signalling he did not have enough votes to be confirmed.
29:07He wasn't getting enough support from the people that I thought.
29:10Trump told reporters at the White House earlier in the day.
29:15You know, he's done a very good job.
29:18Crime is down 25% in D.C. during this period of time.
29:22I can only lift that little phone so many times of the day, but we have somebody else.
29:28Trump's decision to replace Martin came amid a May 20 deadline to confirm the former defense attorney
29:36and stop the still organizer.
29:39That's because if the U.S. Senate fails to confirm a U.S. attorney nominee within 120 days,
29:45federal juristic court judges may select an interim U.S. attorney according to the Department of Justice.
29:50The U.S. Department of Justice says West Point professor who resigned over Trump admin education
30:10overall will not be missed.
30:13West Point philosophy professor Graham Parsons announced his resignation Thursday.
30:18A West Point professor's resignation over education shifts brought in part by the Trump administration
30:28drew a scathing comment from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseff.
30:34West Point philosophy professor Graham Parsons announced his resignation Thursday
30:40following a 13-year tenure with the academy.
30:44Hegseff quickly took to social media, voicing his opinions after the departure.
30:49You will not be missed, Professor Parsons, Hegseff wrote in response to Parsons' resignation.
30:58In the New York Times op-ed, Parsons said he is departing as the academy is rapidly shifting
31:05from its educational principles in part to the Trump administration.
31:09I will be resigning after this semester from my tenured position at West Point after 13 years on the faculty, said Parsons.
31:19I cannot tolerate these changes which prevent me from doing my job responsibly.
31:24I am ashamed to be associated with the academy in its current form.
31:28He added,
31:31In a matter of days, the United States Military Academy at West Point abandoned its core principles.
31:39Once a school that strove to give cadets the broad-based, critical-minded, non-partisan education
31:45they need for careers as army officers, it was suddenly eliminating courses, modifying syllabuses,
31:52and censoring arguments to comport with the ideological tastes of the Trump administration.
32:00Parsons' disdain colorates to President Trump and Hegseff's recent executive order and memos
32:07prohibiting what faculty members may teach at United States military education institutions.
32:13In his op-ed, he claimed that the results have yielded a sweeping assault on the school's curriculum
32:19and faculty members' research.
32:22Upon his departure from the academy, his landing page on the West Point website was removed.
