UP Cop’s Wife Alleges Illicit Affair with Woman Constable; Claims Beatings and Death Threats

A woman residing in a society under the Bisrakh police station area of Greater Noida has levelled serious allegations against her husband, Neeraj Singh, a Sub-Inspector (SI) in the Uttar Pradesh Police. She has accused him of having an affair with a female constable, assaulting her after drinking, and even threatening to kill her.

Allegations of Affair and Assault
According to the complaint filed at Bisrakh police station, the woman stated that she discovered her husband’s alleged affair in June. Since then, she claims, Neeraj Singh has been frequently beating her under the influence of alcohol. The complainant further alleged that her husband often visits tourist destinations in Uttarakhand — including Haldwani, Mussoorie, and Haridwar — with the same female constable under the pretext of “official raids.”

The woman also claimed to possess incriminating photographs of her husband and the female constable as proof. She has sought protection for herself and her children, demanding strict legal action against both.

Police Initiate Inquiry
The allegations have caused a stir within the police department. Media cell in-charge Subodh Kumar stated that both Neeraj Singh and the female constable had earlier been suspended from Noida’s Sector-24 police station in separate cases. He confirmed that Neeraj Singh remains under suspension and both are currently absent without authorisation.

Kumar added that the department has taken the allegations seriously and launched a departmental inquiry. Further action will follow once the investigation concludes. The case has sparked concerns over the conduct and image of the police force, with expectations of a fair and transparent probe by senior officials.
