00:05Roquan Smith, their defensive leader, their inside linebacker, he hasn't practiced all week
00:10with a hamstring, and they are banged up in the secondary, on the outside on the secondary
00:15with their cornerbacks, with Marlon Humphrey, with Nate Wiggins, Jair Alexander, all dealing
00:24with some degree of injury right now. The one good news that they've had so far is that they
00:29were missing Van Noy, and he's been limited all week, so if their edge rusher, Kyle Van
00:38Noy, comes back this week, it doesn't completely make up for all of the many issues they have
00:43defensively right now, but they haven't been getting a good rush off the edge. Matabike's
00:49out for the year on the interior, that's really the big one for me, but I mean, at the very
00:54least, if Van Noy comes back and they've got him matched up, you know, against Ariante
00:58Ursary a fair amount, that is something that's not so simple for the Texans to handle.
01:02Did you ever think that you would ever say about the Ravens that Lamar Jackson, and I'm
01:08saying it, Seth's not saying it, but Lamar Jackson, if he misses this game, then that's
01:14an issue for the Ravens, but the bigger issue is on the defensive side of the ball, you know?
01:18Like, is that a bigger issue?
01:20It's a tough one.
01:21Because they still got all their weapons.
01:22Like, there's no skill, there's not a single skill guy that matters that's on the injury
01:28report right now.
01:30Ronnie Stanley, not a skill guy, but an offensive lineman, he's the only prominent name offensively
01:35other than Jackson that's on the injury report.
01:37The defense, which already was not great, is Swiss cheese right now.
01:42I guess it's interesting.
01:44Two things about that.
01:45Is one that this year so far, the offense is the only thing that's going to keep them
01:50in a lot of these games and just have a chance to win, but also that they're facing a Texans
01:59team where the strength is the defense right now.
02:02And if, yeah, that not having Lamar Jackson, it's going to hurt you versus this defense.
02:08Cooper Rush, is that, and everybody, please trust me.
02:11I'm the last person that needs to be reminded that the Texans defense has had some letdowns
02:15versus lesser quarterbacks.

02:17But just on paper, looking at it, yeah, not having Lamar Jackson going up against this
02:22Texans defense, that's a tough, that's a big challenge.

02:31So that's the big storyline in this is the MASH unit that the Ravens have become, and that'll

02:37Number two for me, though, is I am very excited to see Woody Marks in a more prominent role.
02:43But now the Texans seem to have woken up to Woody and Woody being able to do things that'll
02:52allow the 10 ball in the right reads that he's making pass pro, trusting him in pass
02:58protection as well.
02:59All those things, you know, in the pass game, the run game, and in the blocking game, he's
03:03shown that he's trustable in those situations.
03:06And this is the part that you just don't know and you can't tell, and I try to give
03:09the Texans, I try to give Nick Caley a break or D'Amico Ryans a break into how they've
03:13been using the rookies, is that, you know, you're not out there at practice.
03:17We don't know exactly how the rookies are actually performing in those first couple weeks of the
03:22season in practice.
03:23And it's hard to just say, yeah, throw them out there for 50 snaps because they'll learn
03:28it on the fly.
03:29So I get that part of it.
03:32It's just that as long as they're recognizing that now and that they've coached them up
03:36to where you can trust them and Woody Marks can be out there more on the field and you've
03:41got to get them more targets.
03:42Yeah.
03:42This could be a, this versus this Ravens defense, this, this might end up being like the, the
03:48really national rolling out of Woody Marks where people realize, oh, okay.

03:53The Texans do have something offensively, especially if they win, if they win, the Ravens
03:58being one in four is going to be a massive story on Monday.
04:01You know, that this is, they were the Superbowl favorites coming into the season.
04:05They and Buffalo had the same odds to win the Superbowl coming into the season when the
04:10Superbowl favorite is one in four.

04:13If Lamar Jackson being injured as part of it, that'll be a major story.

04:42Now, 2002, the Rams were the favorite coming into the season to win the Superbowl.
