00:00Clint, some match-ups in this game.
00:02As I've said, man, I think I'll be really disappointed if this is a close game.
00:10But I think there's still some things to look at
00:12because the Raiders do have some players and some things to look at
00:17that are match-ups that maybe not only in this game,
00:20but you're going to maybe take on down the way
00:23as you get to playing against better teams in more important games.
00:26When the Texans have the ball, what's a match-up you're looking at
00:30and maybe Texans fans should look at for this team as they move forward?
00:34Well, I'm going to go big picture with just scheme in general.
00:36I mean, Nick Cayley, this is a game where if you mess around early in this game
00:43and you believe that you're going to drop C.J. Stroud back
00:48and or he believes that he's going to sit there and pat the football,
00:52Max Crosby's a problem.
00:53And it's the only way that this is a game is if Max Crosby somehow flips this game early
01:01into Las Vegas' favor and then you have a hard time catching up.
01:05Like that's the only formula where the Texans don't dominate this football game.
01:10And the only way that I believe that happens is if we go into the game,
01:13one can't run the ball, two, you turn around and C.J.'s,
01:17whether it's the third down and long situational football or it's penalty,
01:20I don't give a damn why.
01:21But if you go in there and he ends up holding the football early on,
01:25then the Texans are going to be in trouble.
01:27So I think the matchup to watch, we've talked about it a million times,
01:32if you can't watch Nick Cayley.
01:33But it's about the screen game.
01:36It's about the quick game.
01:38All right?
01:38It's about helping your tackles.
01:41The little stuff is are you chipping with your running backs and your tight ends
01:45on whichever tackle catches Max Crosby.
01:50Is your play caller, from a game plan perspective, are they prepared for that?
01:55From a game plan perspective, do they have that screen game, that quick game?
01:58Are they dialed up to help from a play calling perspective to keep us out of the only situation
02:04that gets us beat?
02:05I completely agree.
02:06All of it's tied in.
02:07It's not just can Trent Brown and Ursary hold up.
02:12No, it is, all right, what are you going to do in a playoff game
02:18or when it matters if Joey Bosa's going off?
02:22That's right.
02:22Or Khalil Mack, if you play the Chargers next week's going off,
02:26or Nick Benito and Cooper and that crew over there is going off.
02:31How are you going to handle that, right?
02:33And it's game plan.
02:35It's from the coordinator.
02:36It's from CJ.
02:37It's from every piece to be able, as you'll say, all those pieces slow down
02:42and stop and help stop a pass rusher from ruining the game.
02:45Well, Max Crosby's a guy that, you know, again, one play, you know,
02:51it doesn't have to be a penalty or a quarterback holding the ball
02:55or a ill-advised low percentage throw.
02:58I mean, he can take what looks like a good play and a good protection
03:01and turn it into chaos real quick, right?
03:03And so it just – so for me the matchup is Nick Caley from a planned perspective
03:10talking about Max Crosby.
03:14If he is a problem early on, it is – I believe it's going to be
03:20because Nick Caley and CJ Stratt allow it to be.
03:24Yeah, yeah.
03:25No, that makes sense.
03:26Yeah, he's the one.
03:28He's the one over there that you really have concerns with.
03:31It feels like if you can take care of him, boy, you got a shot.
03:34Yeah, absolutely.
03:35Really whatever you want to do in this game.
03:37All right, what about when the Raiders have the ball
03:39and they're on offense versus this defense?
03:43Well, I mean, look, I think there's only one answer here, really.
03:47I mean –
03:47It feels like on both sides.
03:48They had Jacoby Myers.
03:50He's now in Jacksonville ripping it up.
03:52Just signed a new deal, by the way.
03:53Yeah, I mean, hell, they're 4-0 with him or whatever.
03:55I mean, they're rolling with him.
03:57So, look, I think it's Brock Bowers and his – a lot like we saw last week.
04:00I was going to say, it's important.
04:01Last week they gave up 12 catches, 134 yards, and two touchdowns to McBride,
04:07who was the best tight end in football.
04:08But a lot of people coming in think that Bowers was.
04:11And, by the way, another important part of that, that's 12 on 13 targets,
04:16which means like –
04:17Pretty efficient.
04:17Yeah, like he was open.
04:20There was – like they were getting the ball to him.
04:23Their whole offense revolves around getting him to football.
04:25Moving – doing with him what I wish – I hope Nick Caley has at least a little package of
04:30with Nico Collins last week.
04:33I mean, Arizona's going to get Trey McBride their touches in every layer of the field.
04:37I haven't watched a ton of the Las Vegas, but I believe they're going to do something similar,
04:42at least attempt to do something similar with Brock Bowers.
04:45And so, again, if they threaten you like we saw last week where their error is just more than their average,
04:56you're a bit disappointed with that.
04:58You know, of course, D'Amico was vocal about that.
05:00But if the Raiders are able to score points at all and move the football at all,
05:06I believe it's going to be a heavy dose of Brock Bowers.
05:08And so, how do they handle Brock Bowers?
05:12Is that a – you know, is it a nickel defender, Jalen Petrie, your normal nickel defender?
05:18Is it somebody that they slide in there that they can use in more of a coverage perspective?
05:23I would imagine it's a heavy dose of Jalen Petrie.
05:27But, you know, we'll see.
05:28They've shown the ability to bring Kalen Bullock out of center field
05:32and put him in some man situations if he's the better matchup.
05:36And so, I would imagine they'll throw the kitchen sink at –
05:40Clearly –
05:41Is it the kitchen sink or everything but the kitchen sink?
05:43Everything but the kitchen sink.
05:44Everything but the kitchen sink.
05:44But clearly they didn't – didn't seem like they handled McBride very well last week.
05:50Whatever adjustments, whatever.
05:51Maybe he's a great player, but it didn't –
05:53Well, to me, this goes back – that is a –
05:56And I know I'm talking about the best tight end in the game,
05:59but does anybody have the offensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals?
06:05I mean, but that –
06:06That guy who's going to be looking for work.
06:07Yeah.
06:09That's where I've been –
06:11That's why I harp on what are we going to do with Nico Collins?
06:17In critical moments, you've got to get your best player of the football.
06:20We saw it with Puka Nakua last night.
06:22We saw it with McBride versus – with Arizona and Texans last week.
06:27I mean, like, I'm not saying we can –
06:31We need to be that offensively.
06:33When you're in a dogfight and you need a play, you've got to get to 12.
06:35How are you going to do that?
06:37And so, yeah, I think that's –
06:39I think this week Brock Bowers is that guy.
06:40Watch how they move him around and do some different things.
