00:00Coach, in last week's loss against Virginia, what could Mike Norvell and the staff basically turn to to get this team motivated?
00:07We know it's a rivalry game, but Thomas Costellano stepped up.
00:11He made some plays.
00:13Who do you give the quarterback advantage to in this matchup?
00:16Well, I think if it's just the quarterback, I think Costellano's can make the biggest impact on the game.
00:21In fact, he's the X factor.
00:23If you can't stop him, Florida State's chances go way up in winning this game.
00:27I think the problem is that their defense is suspect.
00:31Last week, they dropped down behind 14 to nothing, and then they got momentum back, went up 21 to nothing.
00:36And then when you think they're under control, they give up three straight drives of over 12 plays, over 75 yards.
00:42They couldn't get Virginia off the field when they had momentum back, and I'm worried about this Florida State defense.
00:48Can they get Miami and Carson Beck off the field?
00:52They will get them off some, but not enough to win this game.
00:55Absolutely fantastic game.
00:56Cannot watch it play.
00:57Can't wait to watch it play out tonight.
00:59Two top 20 teams.
01:00It's the way college football is supposed to be.
01:01Miami and Florida State mattering.
01:03It just means more, as we like to say, Coach, which is perfectly talking over in the SEC.
01:07How about Vanderbilt taking on Alabama?
01:09Usually, as I was talking with Joe Lisi, this is a bye week for most SEC teams.
01:13Not anymore.
01:14Coach, Vanderbilt on offense.
01:16They move the football.
01:17What are we seeing in this game today?
01:18This is a very big one because I think Vandy, without a doubt, and I have to be convinced,
01:24they are for real.
01:26Their quarterback is unbelievable.
01:27The system that they run, the amount of points they score, and who they beat.
01:32But also, I think Alabama is back.
01:34They may not be as good as the championship years.
01:37They are clearly back toward the better years at Alabama.
01:40So, I see a much better Alabama team and a much better Vanderbilt team.
01:45But Alabama has had 10 months to stew over this game, and I think they're playing at home.
01:51So, I see Alabama, if the coaches coach their best, if the players play their best, Alabama
01:56is going to win the game.
01:58But I'm going to go with Vanderbilt and those points.
02:0110 and a half, 11 point, what is it?
02:0210 and a half.
02:03I go with Vanderbilt and the points.
02:05Alabama to win, Vanderbilt plus the points.
02:07Coach, when you look at Bama's defense right now entering this matchup, they're giving
02:12up $1.60 on the ground.
02:13We saw them get exposed by Georgia.
02:16Any concerns about the front seven heading into this matchup?
02:20Yeah, you know, it's a different type of running game at Vanderbilt.
02:23Georgia, they come right at you.
02:25They beat you with a center, two guards, two tackles, and they run at you that way.
02:29And I think you've got to be powerful to stop a Georgia run.
02:33Vanderbilt does it with misdirection.
02:35You think it's going left, it goes right.
02:36You think it's going wide, it's going inside.
02:38You think it's going to the back, it goes to the quarterback.
02:40They do it with a little more deception, with a little more versatility.
02:44And it's a different game.
02:45It's a thinking man's defense when you're playing Vanderbilt.
02:48It's a tough man defense when you're playing Georgia.
02:51So this one, Alabama has to be thinking all the time.
02:54And that's why Vanderbilt can go out there and beat a team with more athletes.
02:58Because don't think for a second that Alabama, player for player, doesn't have better
03:02football players.
03:03But Vanderbilt has a system that can make you not as good as you are.
